Yes, I've actually become desperate, and apparently it's a crime deserving of the most brutal and ostracizing social punishment. It's a crime to have a burning desire to love and be loved to the point of feeling depravity. If someone in front of you is DESPERATE for food, wouldn't you feed them? If they're DESPERATE for water, wouldn't you give them a drink? If someone is DESPERATE for medical attention to the point of impending fatality, don't we as a society take care of each other? What if someone is DESPERATE to love and be loved? The kind of love that can only be shared between a significant other. That hole that really nothing else can fill. Physical contact, honor, respect, partnership, romance and perhaps more that can be shared between two people. I don't just want it, I CRAVE it. I NEED it to the point where this life cannot be worth living without it. But of course not. Denied, shunned, guilty for having a soul, for feeling something, for the thought of hope, for being human, to know my emotions. If my word is worth anything at all, I`d spend all the riches on the earth worth of it in solid gold to prove my honesty, and deepest hearts desire. I just need someone to take it from me..
