single mothers: underpaid by social security or...?
Posted: 5/12/2008 2:14:35 AM
Call me old fashioned but I believe there should be one parent home looking after the kid/s and one out working. I certainly disapprove of two parents working and childcare personnel bringing up their offspring. To me that's akin to buying a dog and boarding it in a kennel during the week and wondering why it barks all weekend.
Childcare facilities should NEVER by subsidised by govt.
This effectively means the taxpayer is aiding two working parents to purchase an expensive house.
I can see how relationships fail and leave a single parent to pick up the pieces and these persons need assistance both in forcing the other parent to pay his/her share and then a top up from govt. coffers.

The Australian poverty line. As mythical as the Bunyip. In Australia we can receive money for doing nought. Try that caper in a third world country ... or even the U.S.
Whereas I don't for one minute flaunt the idea of using the U.S. as a moral yardstick, I can't help feeling that there a certain members of our community who simply don't pull their weight and moreover breed children who have little respect for others or their property.
There are , of course, exceptions to the rule ... the single mother who brings up her children with morals and respect for the general community as there is with children who come from a married couple with little or no respect and poor values.
Social security benefits need to find their way to those who need them, not those who want them.

Yes I do have a partner... in old fashioned terms we were married so it's a very official partnership. Throughout a period of some 16 years I not only supported the development and upbringing of my own offspring, I supported her to stay at home to help out on the ome front.
During this time we were a one car family. As my wife needed the vehicle more often and with greater priority than myself, I would cycle to work. This journey, a round trip of 33 kms per day was performed rain, hail or shine.
During this period I also paid tax in fact I have never drawn a social security benefit.
The fact that Bewithed's ex husband isn't, hasn't, won't cough up any money for Bewithed and his own offspring is niether mine nor any other tax payers responsibility.
As I moved from the country to the city it was rare to have help from both my parents or my wife's.
I suggest Bewithed gets off her subsidised backside and demonstrates some intestinal fortitude and not bludge off the Australian public.
Yes everyone's is entitled to one mistake (single motherwise) however when single mothers have multiple children they not only drain the public purse but contribute heavily to the numbers of delinquents we as law abiding, tax paying citizens are confronted with every day.
My two bob's worth is not indexed ..... one cannot say the same for soft payout bludging single parents leach on an annual basis.

faking it?

I'd say that if a woman 'fakes it' ... it says more about her inadequacies than the partners. Maybe she need sto show the partner exactly what she wants. If she wants a long drawn out session closed .... tell the partner precisely that. Giddy up fella .... you got 60 seconds before I kick you out!! She's sound like a publican but at least there's honesty prevailent.

simple question - do you believe in a god?
Posted: 1/15/2008 11:34:23 PM
Non believer here.
I work in the field of research. Throughout history religion has done it's very best to stand in the way of science to the point of burning people at the stake for heracy.
If it wasn't for the bravery of certain scientists, we'd still believe in the flat earth theory.
I have seen no proof of an all wondrous being. After all more people have died in the name of God, Allah or some mumbo jumbo than all the other reasons combined.
Religion is a shameful pastime.

Well at the risk of upsetting many single mothers, I don't see it as my responsibility to use my taxes to pay or even supplement childcare for anyone.
I raised my children without the help of the taxpayers money and I expect others to do likewise.
I'm tired of people copping out on their responsibilities and expecting the nation to pick up the pieces.
So there's my two bobs worth.

Gidday.
Well the simple truth is yes we men get erectile problems as we get older. What the fairer sex needs to realise is that this can generally be offset by a little extra titilation and stimulation. Sometimes things get bendy in the middle at a moment none too appropriate. Just go back and restart proceedings.
A woman with an older lover (male) should now realise what the males have had to deal with over their entire sex life. I'm referring of course to foreplay. Younger men are ready to go at a moments notice so many women have not had to stimulate their man for action. So unless she is constantly attracting toy boys, she will need to pay closer attention to her partner to keep him hard.
From the mans view point, older women at least know what they want saving him hours possibly weeks of barking up the wrong tree (so to speak). Older guys have honed their oral skills. Older ladies are great and so are 'us blokes' if the ladies are prepared to work a little harder for their fun.

SEX AND WOMEN OVER 40 OR 50?????

I believe sex is something that one contiues to learn well into their senior years. Whereas males might drop away in frequency, this should be offset with an improved technique such as oral capanilities. I tink older women can be far mroe sexy than their younger counterpparts both in performance and looks.
Many a good tune etc etc.....

discipline
Posted: 6/14/2006 5:12:49 PM
Just yesterday here in Perth, police subdued a 10 y.o. aboriginal girl with pepper spray then led her away in hand cuffs from her school. She was armed with a brick and a pair of scissors. On first hearing this I thought this a little over the top of the police, then I remembered that police must experience pepper spray, capsicum spray and tasar gun as part of their training. They survived and so will the child. Their options were to try and wrestle her down and risk serious injury themselves. I believe they did the right thing.
When I was a lad, I received physical discipline sometimes warranted and sometimes not. I love and respect my parents now (@49) for their training and appreciation of me as a person. Having said this, some sick **stards go over the top when discplining their kids. I have only had to smack my kids on a couple of occasions. They are now 18 and 14 years.
