Well Done! I love 'Oh The Places You'll Go'! I have given this book as a gift to every 'coming of age' person I know!

Paulo Cohello's 'The Alchemist' is another book I gift often...

Recently....'Broken For You' and 'Mr. Pips'

My God I love words...they tingle, shine, inspire and make me feel so alive!

You've been THIS long without sex, why is it still a solid requirement?

since I am divorced...what do I know lol...

I think sex is a barometer...

I cannot even begin to imagine being in an intimate relationship where the sexual connection is not present.

It is such a trusting vulnerable position...you really know me and love me and accept me!

Beautiful Deviant! we share such a love of literature! I am a huge fan of children's lit!

The Eleventh Hour
Brother Eagle Sister Sky
....I have to run downstairs and look on my 21 year old son's bookshelf lol
The Places You'll Go
....I still buy kid lit even though my sons are adults.

Brave New World
The Great Gatsby
Far From the Maddening Crowd
Stone Angel
The Tin Flute
....most Canadian Lit

recently:
A Thousand Splendid Suns
The Secret River
Suite Francais

...in my lifetime I will never read everything I w0uld like to...words like art it draws me in, an unforgetable view etched in your mind, like the finest first taste of an extraordinary wine, a glimpse of a heron on a crisp fall morning in the park, all woven together in a spectacular chaos where your inner child crashes uninhibitedly into your gray haired more seriously cautious you...I saw words written on walls and they spoke to me, each letter alive and together an inspiration!

I need more ears to hear all of the words that live on the shelves...

Morning fingers...sigh...

My favourite book will be the one I write one day.

In the meantime...extraordinary characterization, memorable perspective and anything that makes me laugh or moves me to tears...remarkable tears of humanity...

Anything written from the heart, with compassion and raw understanding...

For now...a book I read while lying on a cottage sunporch warmed into a submissive half sleep, loons, the wind drifting by on her elsewhere way and reality an unwelcome shrug, I lay suspended between where those words and I flirted and coyly played and the damp summer sofa underneath...

The Kite Runner....and now...

A Thousand Spendid Suns

memorable...each of them...words that coat your tongue and linger like your favourite dessert or memory...and you wish you were blessed with this story telling talent, but know that the gift of appreciation is a great as the gift of narration.

50 is the new 40!

There is something so liberating about being 50 *S*

It's 'ME' time, we know who we are and what we want...I just wish finding it wasn't so difficult.
