i met a guy who seemed really nice, funny and intelligent but then he mentioned he had bi polar and had no friends. He said all the people he thought were friends had used him for money etc. im not usually a judgmental person but im wondering if i should be worried about this. What do you think? is it fair to judge him as damaged goods and not date him again even though we had an awesome time laughing a lot?

Well, Im not a woman but have met and talked with dozens of women from pof and have chatted about profiles, so I think I can relay some useful info to you.

Positives.
You are a good looking guy, athletic, good job, can cook. << Appealing to a lot of women. Well written.

Negatives. You are looking for a younger woman and want kids at 41. So you have just lost out on all the great women in the fab 40s.

This is actually quite common. I have run into this many times. Women get hung up on things they cant have, especially men.

When I was married, I got hit on all the time. Now I am single, not even a second glance ( actually not even a first glance). Thats why the "bad guys with an edge" or whatever you wanna call them who dont give a **** always get the women.
