Although I have no answer for you, I am experiencing the same thing with Online, so you are not alone on that.

My City Feature

There is no setting for 5' 11 1/2" and when I did have it set at 5'11" I got a lot of shorter men in the matches...I would rather have someone I can look up to (pun intended) than quantity :-) So far the 6' setting seems to be working okay.

Ok...thanks for the clarification re the height. Guess I'll have to decide whether it is better to avail myself of the My City or stop gettting matches that are 8" shorter than I am, and, I assume me showing up as matches for those gents so much shorter than I am.

Re non-compliant photo: I can type that I have never faked a sarcasm in my life into the text but can not have it as a sign, is that correct?

Tried that...basically the New Users feature is likewise limited compared to previously. And, my 'real' postal code hasn't changed since when I had a profile on here before. It is puzzling...

My City Feature

In the My City feature I have a 20 year age span specified and yet only 2 people show up…one is from Nova Scotia and one is from Yukon Territory and both fall in the age range.

This is certainly not what happened when I had a profile on here previously. Then there were at least 2 pages of people listed under My City as I live within the mileage listed of two major cities.

Any ideas??

I think what bothers me the most is the disrespectful attitude.
"It is my site so I can change what I want and not tell the lowly users."
If I were a paying member, I would most certainly be annoyed and would likely investigate various forms of recourse, including a refund!! It is an unfair business practice to advertise one thing and then change it without notice.

On a side note, I wonder if this sort of thing is just adding to some of the negativity on the site.

Ranges are set for a 20 yr span and distance set to the maximum.

The reset to allow users to see that I viewed their profiles worked for the last 30 profiles part of Viewed Me, but did not affect the other 3 features: New Users, My City and Most Attracted.

Hmmm...not sure I was clear enough.
My account has 4 features that are not working, yet they are working for others I have asked.
While I can adapt to not being able to use them, that is not the point. Besides, I am not that complacent.
Most importantly, if others are having the same issue, perhaps it is something that can be corrected.

I am pretty sure that these features (New Users, My City and Most Attracted) are not working on my profile as they have not changed in over a month. When checking with others, I am told the listings change on their accounts.

Also, when I click to see the last 30 profile I viewed, none appear.

Since all of these features worked when I had a profile on here before, is it possible that I just got a bad install or some such thing??

Since Last Online is no longer free is there a better way to tell when to initiate chat?

I can't be the only one who doesn't like waiting only to get User Did Not Respond message because the person is not online even if that's what it indicates along the My Conversations line. (no, the requests were not ignored)

Why are we subjected to the ad with the male bare torso and the supposed female behind him grabbing his package????

Since our profiles are out there on the net - google your user name and you will see - I wonder if having a protest line at the start of our profiles would have an impact.

To me, there is just something fundamentally wrong with POF arbitrarily removing features that were free when we signed on and doing so without any advance notice.

I also resent that if one chooses to upgrade, there is no easy way to end the subscription; they just keep billing you?!?

In essence, I disagree with the basic ethics, and even more so since they are contrary to the advertising and promotions that entice a person to create a profile.

Consequently, I have added a line of protest to the beginning of my profile. (Feel free to copy and past it.)

If the features that were free when I signed on are reinstated, I may continue on this site; if not, I will certainly leave soon. I left when they took away the Viewed Me feature and returned when it was reinstated, so I am not bluffing!
