people's names...
Posted:

its funny how names conjour up memories...from childhood, work, family, friends, and how people sort of resemble their names and personalities, bonus for me, as with a name like Sherry, not too many of us around, as for meeting someone with a name the same as any of my 5 brothers, mum & dad, I cannot think of a name that I dislike, so would in no way concern me for dating, their horoscope may...

Are pay dating sites worth it?
Posted:

have to say I love plenty of fish, I was a member of a couple of other sites, and still have wonderful friends from them, basically I feel the format for the dating sites are pretty much the same, you meet the same people too, the forums make this site the best, as the subject matter is so wide and varied,
don't waste your money on paid up sites, this one has all you need, in my opinion

What do you think about people who have psychics' readings?
Posted:

as a Medium/Psychic myself, amongst other things, what do I think...some are good, some are not so good, some do it for ego, some for money, some for God, all of us have a purpose here, my suggestion would be if your interested then go to a reputable spiritualist church, or the Spiritual National Union, to resource the Medium.

GUYS!!! If you met the right woman, could you wait for the sex till marriage?
Posted:
11/2/2008 2:31:29 PM
I admire anyone with the strong conviction that after that little piece of paper, saying it is legal? 'What The' to have sex. it would stuff me up, cause I cannot visuilise myself ever getting married again, and I too want to test drive the vehicle before buying, and take it through it's paces, but if you have those strong convictions...
all I can think, is if I met a bloke who wanted to wait, then I'd worry about the ability to perform, or love like I do, with a passion for life, cause when you love someone, it encompasses the entire mind, spirit, and body

How long should people search on a dating site
Posted:
10/19/2008 4:53:43 PM
I think I have been on pof about 2 yrs,
I go to the 'My Matches' too, and see the same old same old, so guess the gentlemen must see the same faces too, amazing too, that the ones living close by are not interested in general, I have met some terrific people not just men, through the forums start chatting to some of the women, for me, it is about friendship first, if I should be lucky enough to find a man who satisfies all my needs, bonus! and then how much do we settle for? or should we wait for mr/mrs perfect,
life is short.

I am noticing a trend in women over 30
Posted:
4/4/2008 1:51:52 PM
my personnal thoughts, men of a certain age, think they're much younger, looks, behavour, attitude, and in their profile they also state, a younger person is mostly required, the same goes for a woman, why go for an old fuddy duddy, when you can have a younger more hip, and reflective of the age you really feel you are, not the age that is real, because once you, anyone turns 30, age becomes irrevalent,
I look at the profiles of men in their 50's or 60's seriously looking for a girl in her 30's, and think, where are they coming from...
then the girls do likewise... no other reason than none of us feel our age, ever, oh hang on, after a 24hr stint with no sleep, perhaps than..

Grown Men 40+ who live at home
Posted:
4/4/2008 1:38:08 PM
I have dated grown men who still live at home, with their parents, either one or both, I see most as being echononic, especially if divorced and lost everything previously, or for some other reason, business failure, it surely does not matter? if the man is good company, in all ways, and the parents don't mind, why should I, only if I intend to marry, then will he provide a home with me, that is the question.
As for inheriting parents, I did my mother, she lived with me for 6 yrs, untill the big C got her, I have no regrets, nor will have. I've informed my children I'm going to spend their inheritance and live with them all for 3 mths of the year...
t
is is what happened,
so I shall continue on my own, does anyone complain when a woman lives with mum & dad?

What are Good Looks ?? The definition ...
Posted:
4/4/2008 6:33:02 AM
should add to my previous post, I'm the most beautiful woman in the world to my grandchildren first thing in the morning, even my dog loves me, but anyone else, well entirely another matter, I have the style of hair that looks as if I've been dragged through a hedge backwards, my eyes might be open but I don't wake up, although I am prone to bouts of spontanous laughter, at any time,
never too sure what/how anyone can define this as good looks, must admit, never had bad comments...

I remember telling a young chap that my girlfriend was attractive, I was 16 at the time, my girlfriend was blond blue eyes, the typicial barbie type, he told me that yes she was 'pretty', but I was attractive, as people wanted to be around me, I had personality, she had the looks, this I will add was his discription of me, which I have truly appreciated all my life to date. So good looks, keep them, I'd rather be attractive, the defination of 'good looks' is too subjective/objective, good luck.

What Month are you?

AUGUST
Loves to joke. Attractive. Suave and caring. Brave and fearless. Firm and has leadership qualities. Knows how to console others. Too generous and egotistic. Takes high pride of oneself. Thirsty for praises. Extraordinary spirit. Easily angered. Angry when provoked. Easily jealous. Observant. Careful and cautious. Thinks quickly. Independent thoughts. Loves to lead and to be led. Loves to dream. Talented in the arts,
yep, this is me, especially the bit about trusting, it's a bugger too, cause I trust everyone, then get let down, but prefer to jump in feet first and live than be cynical and never do anything for fear of being hurt, I do not think I'm easily angered, but have been told I'm like a volcano when I am angered, sort of explosive, I do not hold grudges tho'

single mothers: underpaid by social security or...?
Posted:
1/2/2008 1:43:54 PM
my views, and only mine, I had children young, never regretted it, I've been a single mother, a working mother, never getting maintence, now all children grown, and accecptable in society, doing their bit for Australia, in other words, I have experienced the lot, and never looked back, it was hard, and harder as a single parent than anything else, but when my son told me he intends not to have any children, I suggested he pay more tax, why you might ask, simply the population growth, or lack of it.
in 1970 the pop of Aus was about 12mil, now almost 40yrs later just over 20mil, a growth of 7mill, that 7mill have to support the preceding 12mill, how?
take out those who cannot work, and those who have worked all their life to get a pittance of a pension, who is paying tax to support the rest of the country.
I told him, it's a choice and I accecpt his decision, but when he needs a mechanic, or a doctor, when he is older, who supplied them, gave birth, paid for ,educated,
all the rest,
All mothers are underpaid, and under appreciated in their role of ensuring a future growth for Australia

if anyone remembers Linda Lovelace, movie icon of the 70's, a very famous lady?
well a favourite expression of hers in a particular movie
'do you mind if I smoke while you eat'
in answer, if anyone remembers the movie, then yes...it's so funny how this is being taken so seriously, who cares, if you are true to yourself, what others say about you, is not your business, only if they say it directly to you do you respond.
what does it matter how many men/women you, as an induvidual have sex with...

Any Aussie expats out there?
Posted:
11/21/2007 4:55:38 AM
G'day again mate, still in the Uk for now, heading back to Aus in Jan for a couple of months, funny 'cause I'm not sure what I am, consider myself to be more Aussie than Brit, yet born here in UK, so guess whilst I'm here, I consider myself an expat, whilst I'm in Aus I'm expat Brit...go figure, I cannot...
I love both Country's, have their good and bad, as do people, mostly the language, and it shouldn't be difficult, unless one is asked for Durex in Aus? as I was when I first arrived there nearly 40yrs ago, that was a surprise to me, now I just go with the flow, and try not to read anything unless I have understood first what the need/request is.

the last of sooooo many occured a few weeks ago, I got a txt on my ph. I didn't reconize the number, but it said hi, how you doing, I txt back, fine how are you, you know the thing, hoping for an idea who it might be...nope this man was smart, so I said ok, I give, who are you, he said, your secret randy admirer from around the corner, so I replied, if your a man and randy, why are you around the corner, he replied, wave your knickers out the window, now I still had no idea who it was, but I was on my way out the door, so I replied, sorry cannot wave my knickers out the window, just about to leave the building, this is the idiot part, I sent it to another male friend, who had just txted me ! he of course was confused, as we never discussed my knickers...
needless to say, I deleted the number I didn't know, and had a lot of explaining to do...never heard from mystery randy man again....bummer.!!!!

the real reason we are here....the mice said they wanted an answer, the answer is 42, the mice built a big computer to come up with the answer...
it's the question that was missed...
on another note, well, there is so much that can be said on this subject,
'God is Love,'
'live every day as if it's your last,'
' Karma is the answer'...
'today is the first day of the rest of your life,'
is another favourite of mine, basically, each of us will take a little of what we have learnt, and pass the information on, teaching and learning as we go, experiencing this wonderful dimension we live.

Lets pick a character for the person above us for Halloween
Posted:

as a character, I am and would be a witch,
don't want to burst anyones bubble, but the whole Halloween thing actually started in the Uk and europe, it signifiies Samhain-the Festival of the Dead, where Death & Rebirth were & are celebrated, all hallows eve, in anchient times, traditionally at the end of October, the trick or treating is an American custom, again it started in the uk, in giving offerings, due to the turning of the year, from summer to winter, harvest time, why Children go and beg sweets....well who knows. the costume is relevant to the dressing up, masks, to give recognition to the hag, crone, time of transition.

Posted:

I have no idea how old you are, if your stressing about 1 man, that you had sex with on a first date, your loosing time to move forward...
no matter if it was a blind date, communicating for 3 mths then met, or 100th date, before you had sex, if the chemistry is there, do it, if it dosn't last move on, we are but water, chemicals, hormones, etc. we produce chemicals to attract, to produce offspring, but we are also blessed with the pleasure...of it. sex.
why deny yourself, you only have to be true to you, you are the only judge and jury, no-one else can judge you more than youself.

What is great sex
Posted:
9/21/2007 4:55:49 AM
when 2 meet, their eyes connect, their tongues connect, then reality flies out the window, you end up, outside, under the stars, with a passion that hits the moon...
it takes him 6 months to track you down, he still has scars on his body, his son feared for his life, suggesting he had been attacked by a shark...
that is great sex, now if we're talking emotional involvement, ie love, then that is another thing all together,
Love with a big L or a small one, the connection, the touch, smell, feel, light in the eyes on seeing each other, the grin knowing what is about to happen, the shakey knees, and taking 30mins to come back down from the ceiling, that feels as if it is the sky, because you get so high on each other, the clothing all over the floor, and yes where did my socks go, can I borrow 1 of yours because I cannot find 1 of mine...when you get hot and wet just thinking about him...

do not change who you are, on the chance you will meet someone...
it happens to women too, chatting, then not meeting, for whatever reason.
sometimes I think it is fear of meeting, in case the reality is not enough.
the thing is not too take it personnally, those who don't go the distance, arn't worth the distress, move on.

Conversations with God...The Books
Posted:

I have read 2 and in the middle of the third, whilst I have dissagreements with some that is written, I am in agreement with others who have read the books, they are as life changing as Deepak Chopra, Florence Shovel-Shin, just to mention 2
I can attest spontanous writing is a fact, it does happen, as does psychic art, (same thing), same goes for messages from Spirit, & God.
God is a huge part of my life. like Walsch says in the books, don't beleive it all, question everything, make up your own mind, you know what is right.

NUMBERS!!!!!

not just in Aus, I might mention, it took me 6 months to work out the streets over here...and numbers, forget it, it's hard enough finding street names. plus they park anywhich way on the roads, so even going down a one way street the wrong way is easy.

Best saying ever

my dad used to say,
If you cannot say something nice about someone, don't say anything at all.
I'm always right, even when I'm wrong, I'm right.

Do you look for eyes?

I know the last time I looked I'm not a guy, but perhaps I can make a comment too...
I love eyes, the first thing I look at, and I make sure mine are focused back, so much can be said without words,
to loose oneself in the depth of a persons eye, the joy, sorrow, passion, love, laughter, all in the eyes, that cannot be hidden.

Why do men get scared to love again when theyve been hurt?

my first thought when seeing this question, is 'It is not just Men who get Scared' so do women, when you Love, as opposed to Lust, and you loose that Love, in whatever way it happens, it hurts,, leaving a vunerability, and need to protect from Loving again,
I did look at your profile op, and as you say, you are young, perhaps not having felt the depth of Love, makes it difficult to understand the fear associated with a commitment, especially one so young, who wants to have fun.
Continue having fun, and keep your eye open for the real One who will 'Rock Your Boat'

Rain Rain Rain

just wanted to add my check-double check, before the big date,
clean shoes,
and smelly stuff on,
mummmmmmmmmmm nothing nicer, good luck,
as for the rain, I've been saying for years that it should be piped, would solve the unemployment problem as well as the water, irrigate the internal lands, like the great ocean road, problem is today, every one has so many rights, and health and saftey regulations, prevent this from being a solution, not that I think all the rights, H&S are wrong, just over the top and PC too much
