Do you ever overlook messages?

Broken Profile
Posted: 4/24/2012 7:26:36 AM
My search parameters are set to 50 miles. Yet I get profiles from London, Yorkshire, Glasgow etc etc. Most disappointing when they turn out to be waaayy hotter than the Dublin ones! :)

good looking people that are single
Posted: 3/20/2012 8:48:38 AM
One persons good looking is another persons fugly!! Its amazing how many men (and Im sure women) put in their profile that they are good looking or attractive etc - well not to me you aren't just like some wouldn't find me attractive and some would. Swings and roundabouts.

Spending your time on a date inside of a car. What gives?
Posted: 3/15/2012 8:52:54 AM
Revilors I was just about to ask they same question! Where are you finding these people? The more I read the threads on here the more I wonder how on earth people ever get 2nd dates!!!

I have never had anyone want to sit in the car, never been asked to show ID to prove who I am, never had any of my dates stalk me and the list goes on!!!

He may be new here but he managed to find the 'Ask a Girl' thread okay - surely the big red letters at top were a hint to check for the 'profile review' thread!!

what is an averge amount of time to talk on the phone and text before you meet in person?
Posted: 3/9/2012 7:29:32 AM
A month is a bit long OP. With most of my first dates we didnt even talk on the phone before meeting. Messages on here, arranged to meet on here and a couple of texts - thats it!

How do women feel if the kids live with the 'father'?
Posted: 3/8/2012 6:46:08 AM
I agree with Msg 4 OP I dont think its the fact that you have 3 kids living with you that causes the backward step. It could be that 2 of the kids are't biologically yours that raises questions.

Dating Site Scammers

Cinders I saw the One Show the other night too and I thought ' what a stupid woman'!! All the BBC did was ring up the Embassy who confirmed that if anyone wants to leave the Military they don't have to pay and if they were injured their costs are covered by the US Government. She could have done that herself if she had any sense!! Some people!

Would you want your EX at your funeral?
Posted: 2/17/2012 7:56:05 AM
He may be no good but he is still her ex husband and the father of her only child. He wants to pay his respects I guess.

As for my funeral - I will be dead so dont care who comes or doesnt come!

Crossing the line? Friends want to see your dates profile?
Posted: 2/10/2012 6:54:11 AM
Personally I wouldnt show them. No problem telling them about the guys but letting them see all the information? Nope! There could end up being too many varied opinions on what he is like, what he said in his profile etc - I dont need their opinions!

Why some ladies choose undecided/open for having kids?
Posted: 2/4/2012 4:51:58 AM
Im 43 with 2 children and I dont want any more thanks! However I dont mind meeting men who have children - the options on this site dont allow you to state that so undecided is the closed thing!

Should I commit the biggest dating sin and chase him?
Posted: 1/27/2012 7:24:13 AM
Op hes a flake and thats the only reason you want him!! If he turned up on time and paid attention to you believe me you wouldnt be chasing him so hard. Why should he put in the effort when you are making all the running? Don't contact him again and see how fast he moves!

Hit the post button too early!
Example: I was seeing a guy last year - lovely, really good to me etc but I mentioned to my friend that I wasn't sure about him. A few weeks later he dumps me - I was so upset. Why? Because he didn't want me - that was the difference !

Nothing! Look how many men (and women Im sure) are on here looking for 'intimate encounter' and state that they are already in a relationship and they have their pics up. They have to be genuine pics because if they weren't Im sure they would use better looking people

What Do You Find Difficult?
Posted: 1/19/2012 7:24:11 AM
Yep have to say have trouble with the needle threading too! Am becoming less tolerant with people - especially the whiners - on here and in real life!! Can't do two nights out in a row although I can hold my own on one !

Although I have no trouble:
Telling men to feck off if Im not interested
Typing and speaking in full sentences!
Wearing my trousers pulled up around my waist and not displaying my primark knickers to all and sundry - unlike the youth of today!

Anyone else??

Crush on a co-worker
Posted: 1/17/2012 7:29:37 AM
Both of my sisters met their fiances at work so it does work for some. The tickling, play fighting and throwing stuff at each other would get on my nerves if I worked with you both though and thats before you start dating! Seriously? At work??

Funny things about grief.
Posted: 1/16/2012 7:16:29 AM
When my grandad died some years ago we had relations coming from Canada and I was in from the Middle East for the funeral. The coffin was in my grannys front room and everyone was coming and going. All my cousins were in the back room and had the World Snooker Championships on the tv - my grandad had been watching the whole tournament and Ken Doherty was in the final. Every so often someone would shout into us - hes winning Grandad!! My granny thought it was hilarious!!

Typical Irish funeral - lasted about a week with beers being passed over the coffin in the front room - including one to the priest who had popped in to discuss the arrangements. Grandad would have loved his send off!!

Op Im not going to go into the detail the other posters did - they did it very well. However if someone told me they felt I had a fault that could be corrected and then he would date me - he would be kicked into touch straight away!!!

Yeah Im with HKO - ask her why? But do it in a nice jokey kind of way if you can rather than accusing her of being bonkers (which is what she is but thats not the point).

whats too long
Posted: 1/4/2012 7:14:22 AM
Interesting question actually. I have been on here quite a while - as you can see. Dont do a lot of dating but can't help checking the forums every day to throw in my euros worth!!

However someone mailed me recently to tell me I would never get a date as I have been here too long!! Guess it beats the mail that said I wasn't attractive enough for him to date!

how do i seperate myself from the pack on a first date?
Posted: 12/31/2011 5:45:11 AM
'Desirable women get somewhat conceited and talk that way because they know they CAN.. they've been put on a pedestal by so many guys they just can't help it.'

Well I would NEVER say that to someone I was arranging a date with so I guess that makes me one of the undesirables!

Good luck OP

When I was in my early 20's I dated a guy who had false teeth ( he was the same age) - he fell through a floor and broke his own. Didnt bother me - although it did when he used to put them in my bag of crisps when I went to the loo in the pub!

Do people ever actually divorce?
Posted: 11/12/2011 3:38:33 AM
There are different laws everywhere obviously. Here you have to be separated for 4 years before you can even apply for a divorce (and divorce is only new here too) - so it takes a while. Lots of separated but not divorced people here purely because of those restrictions.
