Telemarketers

I've never had the unfortunate experience of having to sell a product i didn't myself think was a good idea...
I meant not sounding like a telemarketer straight away, and introducing the product before they realise you are one...
If it's a decent product people listen for longer, then you can lead them around...

Lol... this is all true... but its all about the introduction... you gotta not try to sound like a telemarketer and get the customer interested before you get hung up on... or insulted or whatever
And it helps if you're selling something worthwile... so i guess i can't vouch for all telemarketers...

Telemarketers

I used to do telemarketing...
1. Most of the time the reason you get calls and you have a private number, is because it's OLD data. Meaning from before you had a private number, and YOU were too stupid to change it.
2. Most people like to tell their friends about how they totally snapped the telemarketer but in truth they are trained to overcome almost every objection. You are all lucky you never got my manager. The guy would just continue to talk over people until he filled out his lead sheet. If you easily overcame the telemarketer, you must have got a novice, or hung up.
3. Saying can you not call me again, isn't enough for us to take you off the call list. You have to say "remove me from your contact list".
4. Telemarketers are a dime a dozen, as are Telemarketing positions. If you go off too hard at them, don't be suprised if they tear you down, you have to remember these people have heard it all before, you aren't being original, funny or even angry compared to the other people. They don't value their jobs, they can get another one tomorrow.
5. I've done a fair bit of marketing, and I can safely say I've never hawked a product not considering. So every now and then you should hear them out. If their product isn't your cup of tea "remove me from your contact list please". You will get a "no problem" in return and they go right ahead.
I've actually told people who are complaining about how often they get telemarketers, exactly what to say. And made sales because of it.

men... do you consider your woman the better half?
Posted:

I've met plenty of girls who are beautiful in and out, and i've meant plenty who are slimy, scaly evil pieces of work...
I've met plenty of guys who are lovely, fantastic people. And i've met plenty who are sleazy, manipulative, chauvinistic, abusive ****HEADS...
Therefore... we all both suck and rule, as a sex and a species.

I'd like to think that women are the better half... But they have just as many foibles as men on a whole... I mean I love women. But DAMN they piss me off...

The most interesting question of all
Posted:
5/13/2007 8:08:55 AM
God is commonly referred to as "The Alpha and the Omega, The Beginning and the End" in biblical texts. In others it is referred to as the universe.
As far as I'm concerned. If there is a Creator deity, it would neither be Malevolent or Benevolent. It would have to be a 50/50 yin/yang to call itself "Alpha and Omega". I don't believe a creator deity would have much of a consciousness neither.
However that's not to say the processes of the universe didn't create governing entities or a governing entity to continue the processes and manipulate them at their will.

Asking a women to go fishing with you???5am in the morn
Posted:

I love taking girls fishing, even if they don't think they like it, they ALWAYS do. Not to mention they are extremely lucky, because they are usually first timers (beginners luck), not being sexist.
Some girls also dig the whole, I'm a guy so I'll kill it humanely and gut and clean the thing. It makes them feel like your a hunter/gatherer type. Which instinctively turns on our female primate counterparts.
Every time I've taken a girl fishing, she's outfished me and my dad (both above average fisherman if I do say so myself
). And we always have an awesome time.
So yes I would at least offer to take her.

When you think a woman is too good for you

He's full of shit and is playing emo to get a reaction from you. His ego needs stroked. If a man thinks any woman is too good for them then they have no self respect. I know i have my faults but nobody is better or worse than me.
I agree here. Most of the time the guy in this situation really is just trying to get you to come to him, if not for ego building, then because he is a little sceptical or fearful of rejection. If you like him, let him know. But don't go too far with the letting him know. I know from personal experiences that when a girl that you like let's you know how good you are, you start to scan around a bit more, which is now for me a lesson well learnt.

Hmmm... be careful if you're going to turn him down. He might try to swindle you some other way, even forcefully. It sounds VERY suspicious to me.

How can u tell if a man is bi
Posted:
5/13/2007 7:32:09 AM
I don't think I'm bi, because when the actual idea or thought of sexual relations with a man comes up, i get instantly mortified. But i do however stray close to the lines sometimes. Who knows, I might be a closet case, even from myself.

Is a photo really important??
Posted:

If you don't have a photo, your profile is pretty important. I talk to most people based on their profiles anyway. It doesn't matter if you're awesome looking, if your profile pisses me off. I will stay away. A persons looks tell you nothing about them. That's just me personally.

Illiteracy decreases your chance of response!!
Posted:

I'm quite literate myself, and usually a girl who can't spell or use correct grammar isn't quite what I'm looking for, but there are definately exceptions.
I once had a girl who couldn't read or write, and she was 18. It wasn't her fault however as she was basically raised without schooling on a hippie commune by her pot smoking parents (who mind you are both very well read and eloquent people, irony?). She was the sweetest, most artistic and musically creative girl. She was completely loveable in every way and I fell for her harder than any girl i've ever known.
So don't judge a book by the cover. It might look like a mess outside, but inside you might find the answers you've been looking for.

Share a ghost story or other weird things that happen
Posted:
5/12/2007 4:30:10 AM
I haven't so much had a ghost experience since I was very young and very imaginitave but I do however have a couple of other strange ones...
I remember one night I was asleep and dreaming a very average dream when the vision itself started to shake and then it appeared to catch fire (much like a cinema reel). I felt like what I imagine it would feel like to re enter Earth. When I woke up I was choking on bile, sweating, my heart was racing and I threw up.
I've had plenty of strange phenomena happen when I've prayed to various Gods. I remember when I first became completely convinced of a Divine existence I fell on my hands and knees crying out for some kind of response and assistance. And the CD player stopped, skipped four tracks ahead and started playing a song that's main line goes something like "Don't you walk away from me again!" and rather angrily.
I have many others but they are mostly from my time as a raver child and don't hold any significance to reality.
