"Only in america" my ass. Games are just as popular/addicting in europe, asia, everywhere. Try going to japan, where video games are part of the very fabric of there society.

Apart from sex with strangers being nasty and std ridden, whatever happened to morals? Its getting more difficult every day to find someone who has a shred of decency.

niceprmale4u, dont worry, your not bursting my bubble, thats pretty much how I've been treating it. This move is my new beggining, I'm just hoping it all works out for the better. There are times you cant help of looking back on the relationship though, and wondering what might've happened if any one of a million things had happened differently. I'm sure my prospects are gonna be a lot better there then they are here, but I cant help but feel a little sad that this chapter of my life is coming to a close.

Are your parents divorced?
Posted:
6/20/2005 7:34:15 PM
My parents have been divorced since I was 4. I saw my dad on weekends till I was about 10, since then I've seen him 3 times in the past 11 years. It definatley affects my relationships and how I view them. I feel very uncomfortable around other peoples parents. Very hard for me to open up to anyone, trust issues abound. I think divorce is the bane of society, and people use it for selfish reasons.

Me and my ex of 2 years broke up 6 months ago, in Jaunuary. We were good friends, still keep in contact with her. Shes now in another serious relationship, and I'm still kind of stuck in limbo. Im moving 3,500 miles away in 6 weeks, getting a little studio in portland, and the thought of leaving this part of my life behind, and never seeing her again is killing me. I know its been 6 months, but Im definatley still in love with her, with no end is sight. I feel like I let my soulmate slip away, simply becuase I met her too soon in life, when I wasnt ready for her. Anyone else been in a similar situation?

I agree with domeroth here, just start over. Start over with me
I know what your going through though, Ive been there. There came a point when I just didnt want to be here anymore. Everyone has there breaking point. Nothing anyone says to you can make you feel any better, I know. Slowly, very slowly, I got better. Im not 100% still, I still have days when i just stare at the wall, pondering if its worth it. I still feel very lost, still dont know what to do with myself, but at least now I'm willing to wait it out, for things to get better.

I blame it on the moral decline of society. We live in a time where its ok to get a divorce, it's like buying a new pair of shoes, no big deal. The way I see it, if you have children involved, the only excuse for a divorce is domestic violence. "Losing the spark" isnt an excuse for a divorce.

I have to agree with danceswithwolves on this one. Im what you would call your typical "nice guy", but I learned the hard way that nice guys really do finish last, so, I stopped all that nice nonsense. It really is strange how my luck has changed now that I act like I dont care. Woman who totally ignored me when I was nice, are really into me when I ignore them, or are indifferent to them. Sad but true.

How many here even approach real life women
Posted:
4/16/2005 4:25:21 PM
i approach "real life women". You just have to know when its appropiate and when its not. Obviously Im not going to approach somone whos with there family or a guy, or hanging out in a group of 10 all on there cellphones. But every so often I'll see a girl, and if theres good eye contact there, you can usually tell if it's alright to approach them. I can tell within the first 5 seconds of talking to someone whether i should just keep walking or not.
