Ablasion vs Hysterectomy

I had a hysterectomy in 2004 due to complications from childbirth-essentially my bladder was starting to hang out of my vagina. This is called prolapse. My vagina and cervix were also severly prolapsed. Donor tissue had to be used to reconstruct my pelvic floor. Although the surgery was one of the most complicated, I do not miss the periods one bit! Sex was rough for a few months after bed rest since there were several stitches that were healing in my vagina. But after that everything was pretty much normal sexually including orgasims!
I never had any problems with vaginal itching before the hysterectomy and have a few eposides a year. But no painful periods, pms or tampons!
