thin average a few extra pounds

To me average is the same as medium, a body mass index between 18 and 25. A BMI less than 25 would be slim, a BMI between 25 and 30 a few extra pounds and over 30 is big. People really should get their category right, it's misleading when they don't. It's easy to do, there are a few web sites around where a person can calculate their BMI from their height and weight.

I'm noticing an IM link under so-called 'serious members' too, I agree something seems fishy there. I definitely spend less time signed in here since they took the IM away, no doubt about it.

Having just visited http://www.userplane.com/, there's no indication there of it being discontinued. Maybe the price went up or something?? Without an IM I don't find POF nearly as good. Bring IM back!!

Honesty - does it really matter?

Honesty's very important to me....if a couple can't be honest with each other, I'd say that isn't a good foundation. How you can you build a good relationship on deception?

Why is smoking pot a crime?
Posted:

There is no good reason for smoking or growing pot to be a crime or any other kind of offense, everyone owns their own body and therefore has a natural right to decide what they eat, drink or smoke once that reach adulthood. Both are peaceful acts that do no harm to anyone else, so they should be completely legal.

Football baby!!!!!

I'm not a soccer fan. Soccer is the dull game, not the beautiful one. That doesn't change the fact that it's silly to call a game football where most players never touch the ball with their feet and there are times when it's actually against the rules to do so!

Who thinks that what hezbollah is doing really is the right thing?

It's ludicrous to trust anything the UN says. Most UN member countries are dictatorships run by vicious thugs. Those people wouldn't know anything about being just or moral, so their concept of what's legal is totally irrelevant to any discussion.
It's not Israel that has put Lebanese civilians in danger either, it's Hezbollah that has by hiding behind them and using them as shields after launching attacks on Israel.

I'm appalled and disgusted to think that anyone here would side with terrorists who fire rockets and civilians and then hide behind women and children. Hezbollah and all other Islamist organizations are evil, and siding with them is siding with evil.
Some posts have repeated the nonsense that Israel exists at the expense of Arabs who lived in Palestine before Israel was created. There is no truth whatever to the Arab claim that the creation of Israel deprived them of something.
There never was a Palestinian homeland. The whole region belonged to the Ottoman Empire until after the First World War when the Ottomans fell. Christians, Jews, and Muslims had all lived in Palestine for centuries. The British set aside a small part of the Ottoman Empire for Jews while leaving the rest to the Arabs.
Jews lived in Palestine long before there was a state of Israel and even before there was an Ottoman Empire. In 1939 Winston Churchill commented that Jews in Palestine "made the desert bloom." The resulting prosperity of the area attracted both more Jews and more Arabs, including some Arabs whose descendants would later make up the claim that Jews took over their country.
The suggestion that the Israelis are terrorists is both false and highly offensive. Israel is a civilized nation with free elections and the rule of law, while the Arab ones are run by brutish thugs who oppress their people. All people in Israel have civil rights, while the Arab countries don't recognize such things. The Arabs hate Israel and they've attacked it many times in an attempt to wipe it off the map.
The Arabs created the Palestinian refugee problem, not the Israelis. Jewish refugees were absorbed into the general population of Israel but Palestinians in Arab countries were kept in refugee camps for generations, promised a right to return after Israel was conquered and the Jews displaced.
Israel's cause is the cause of justice and civilization. The Arabs failed to defeat Israel militarily so they support terrorists who attack Israel and then hide behind women and children, Israel attacks no one but only defends itself. There a clear moral distinction between them; Israel is good and their enemies are evil.
Those posters who choose to side with evil disgust me.
