2006 NFL Fantasy Draft...

Ive got Holt at #6 , just ahead of Moss .
I think Warner can still do it , Plus , The Cards O-Line is always so bad , they cant run , and wind up having to throw a ton to get back into games . thus Fitzgerald and Boldin being ranked so high , plus , they have talent . Dont look to James to make them a running team .He'll probably catch 70 balls , lol .

Its all about the Russian Federation not going along with the agreement, not Malkin not wanting to play here. I heard tonight , there is a clause that he can quit his team , giving a notice , and still come over and play . Not sure how it works exactly , but from what they said , it may not be over yet .

well , as sad as it is to say , Ive given up on the playoffs . they just didnt play well enough against the Yankees , that killed them . But Its still fun to watch , more fun than in a long time . Thats the best line-up theyve strung together since the glory days , lol . ALways competetive , I always see a chance to win the game .
I hope Im wrong , and the 23 game win streak sounds damn good Chiefs .

2006 NFL Fantasy Draft...
Posted:

Im not putting Tomlinson in for #1 , because of the QB , who knows how it goes there , maybe he doesnt get the ball to LT as much , and Rivers is unproven . Johnson I moved out of #1 as soon as Roaf retired . Alexander is my #1 guy . Although , Id take any one of em , lol . Steve Smith has to be #1 WR , I have Moss at about # 8 ,he never showed anything last year , yes , I know he was hurt , but trust is a big issue , lol . Palmer has to be #2 behing Manning , look at his weapons . QB's usually arent as bad at comebacks as RB's . doesnt take em a year to get back into it .Gates ,Crumpler, Shockey , take yer pick , they all get lots of balls tossed their way .
Man , I can hardly wait til draft day !

How patheic is Reggie Bush
Posted:

I would have loved to see him go back into the draft . Its one of those be careful what you wish for things . He could have gone back in , slid down the draft charts , got hurt , lots of things , and came out with a lot less money . I think he finally woke up and realized what may have happened . McAllistar is a good running back too , Is Bush even a lock to start ?

Biggest teams in the world . According to a canadian who knows squat about soccer , and doesnt care to learn , or be told its really called football , and all that stuff .
# 1 - New York Yankees ( as hard as it is to type that )
# 2 - Montreal Candians ( Maybe you western europeans dont know that much about them ,
but ask some eastern euro's , they know . 24 Stanley Cups )
# 3 - L.A. Dodgers ( Tommy Lasorda is still the face of that team , could be forever )
# 4 - Dallas Cowboys ( Harder to type than the friggin Yankees )
# 5 - Harlem GLobetrotters ( Yep , All over )

The Penguins are having trouble getting Malkin out of Russia .Apparently theres never quite enough cash for those guys . They figured they had the deal done , but the '' super league '' or whatever the hell they want to call it, want more compensation for losing their players . Still hope we can see Crosby and Malkin next year together , would be fun.

That guy him took the words out of my mouth . you cant just tell someone this is the team to pull for . Watch some games , see which team you wind up cheering for , doesnt matter if it takes a full season ( and Im sure it wont ) . You have to decide for yourself .
Oh , and welcome to the world of Hockey ..... the coolest game on ice !

Paul Tagliabue is the man who came back from europe and decided to name this game of football . He knew it would drive all the europeans nuts . He hoped one day he could take over the world . He knew all of europes attention would be on making us change the name of the game , so he could implement his diabolical plan much easier .
Or , he's the outgoing commissior of the NFL , I cant remember .

Meanwhile the other seemed to always be in the opposite phase , lol . Im not sure how young your daughter is , and her understanding of the situation , she will get used to it , as sad as that is .

If youre not picking first , youre not getting Larry Johnson . Alexander will have another great year . I think T.O. will do good in Dallas , even Glenn had decent numbers there for a while . Peyton and Eli will both be strong . Warner will put up huge numbers with Fitzgerald and Boldin . Carnell williams ( if healthy ) will be good.
What about Tony Gonzales , is he done ? Or think he'll get more balls tossed at him this year ? Shockey and Gates will be the best tight ends .
Baltimore never puts up decent numbers at QB or reciever , I dont think McNair will make a difference. Brees wont do squat in New Orleans either I dont think .
Oh man , I can hardly wait , Draft day is like Christmas morning when you were a kid , isnt it ?
And as far as the flame war goes , why cant it be understood , this is what we call football , you know what the OP meant , just drop it . youre not going to convince anyone here to change the name , or that we should change . its football , and its goooooooood .

I hate the phone too , but call because you kind of figure its expected of you , or you will hear the why didnt you call me thing . Im not going to sit and think of some topic before hand , of what we can talk about ...... hmm , tonight , maybe we can talk about the war in afghanistan , that will be good . if it is just 'how was your day '? or hows it going , what are you up to , and no topic comes up , then say , ok , enjoy the rest of your night . why does it have to be someones fault , or think , why did he call , just to say that ? he called to show he was thinking about you , take it as a compliment .

Carter was looking at the 2.5 - 3 mill range . Nonis wants him for a million . Someone will pay him 2 im sure . Pisani signed for like 2 . 8 and had less goals in the regular season . Nonis is adament about staying like 5 mill under the cap . Nonis is probably giving him the story of how a anyone could have scored 33 goals playing with the twins , and therefore he should just sign for 1 .

Hockey Anyone?????
Posted:
7/5/2006 7:51:51 PM
Loyalty must be the main theme with Crawford , no wonder the Canucks never did anything. He was the only one they figured they could pawn Cloutier off to , and it worked , lol .
Burke must really have loved Pronger , traded one of his best players , and the next few years drafts , to pay a guy 6.5 million . He could have got Chara for 7 million , and saved all his guys ,and hoped Pronger went to the east. a major TARD in my opinion .
Maybe its because I cant stand the Canucks , but didnt Rutuu just take the absolute worst penalties ever ? In the last game they were in contention , behind one goal , tryin for the comeback , he took a retarded penalty WAY behind the play . That would have ben his last game for me if I was the GM .
Hope my Habs get somebody yet , and please dont let it be some French Canadian ready to retire ( the truth of that comment hurt , lol )
Roenick back in the dessert , talkin about how much he's been workin out , gettin ready for a new season , new attitude , hmmm , maybe a comeback year . What a force he and Doan could be .

invasion of the homeless
Posted:

Im not talking about changing anyone . But everyone is worth talking to once , the second time may be decided from how the first one goes .
Thats really a major generalization saying that they will never change once theyre set. the post before said he was homeless for a time , from a bad circumstance. Theres no doubt that for some , its just an easy way out , but not all .
The kids outside my place havent been around all weekend , although I havent really been around either , but Im sure they'll turn back up , and after reading some of the posts , I would like to talk to them now , and hear their story .
Thanx for the feedback guys .

There are 4 of them , two males , two females .
There is a dumpster about 25 ft from them , but not close enough I guess.
They are not in my yard , Its just not big out there , and they are right across the creek . Ive thought about giving them some food , and dog treats , but Im not sure if I really want to make it THAT homey for them .
Its a small townhouse complex , so there are lots of neighbours . But other than the guys right above me , I doubt if anyone else knows they are there.
Maybe I'll go buy some dog cookies tonight , and have a talk with them in the morning .
Dont get me wrong , Im not opposed to them being there . they have to be somewhere .

invasion of the homeless
Posted:
6/30/2006 3:56:10 PM
I'll start by saying , im not prejudging anyone , I have compassion for most people in a bad situation. BUT ......
About a week ago , some young homeless kids have taken up sleeping about 20 feet from my front door , on a creek bed . We are seperated by a fence , and about 10 feet of creek . It didnt bother me at all that they were there until a few empty cans and a little garbage started showing up . These are kids , like about 18 or 19 . and they have 2 dogs . The dogs are so used to me now , they dont bark when I go out to smoke , lol . They usually show up after midnight sometime , and leave in the morning . Its well hidden from the street , to avoid detection from the authorities.
They are not causing any trouble other than leaving some garbage . The garbage thing bugs me , and if it get worse , I will talk to them .
What would you do in this situation . Or are you in or have had a similar one ?

What makes guys jealous?
Posted:
6/30/2006 3:36:21 PM
I really dont believe most people that say they never get jealous . Everyone gets a little jealous , just at different levels . Its how the jealousy is acted upon that matters . Some people wont show it at all , others will go the control route on their partner . Most people will fall in the middle somewhere. I tend to get a little jealous if I fell like Im being put on the back burner all the time , no one can tell me they dont mind that. If its not dealt with , its not like im going to get all crazy , and controlling ,but im going to walk .
Oh , and Jealousy = insecurity ........ depending on the situation ....... what a pile of crap .

Bertuzzi traded!
Posted:
6/24/2006 2:05:21 PM
I love it , more dissention in the ranks.
Bertuzzi was never going to be the same in Vancouver , They had to get him out of there . Better for both parties .
Having Luongo , gives them a chance to win every game, a definite star calibre goalie.
Auld was a decent goalie , and better than Cloutier in my opinion , but he'll never be the goalie that Luongo is .
I dont think either team got a bettter deal , but it worked out good for both . and brings down the Canucks Cap figure .
And , before you start knocking Alain Vigneault , give him a chance . He did a great job with a VERY mediocre Montreal team a few years ago .
I cant believe Im sticking up for the canucks , ARGH !
GO HABS GO ! ( they better not make another retard move like passing on Brule for another goalie this year , lol )

Getting Rammed By Your Mechanic...
Posted:
6/23/2006 7:41:49 AM
You cant always just blame the mechanic . The mechanic is just doing his job . Its the shop owner charging $90/hr shop labour ,and wanting to charge 40 hours for diagnosing a bad battery , thats the kicker . If youre lucky , you can find an honest guy , who used to work for some rip off artist , and quit because he couldnt stand it anymore , but loves working on vehicles . It pays to know people ,lol . I go to Lordco , buy what I need , negotiate a discount ( because its fun ) and go to my buddy and ask what he's up to this weekend ,lol.

Aways loved their sound. The harmonies are great , the music is great , and fun. I got to see them in the early 90's , they did an outdoor concert here with America and a bunch of others. Was a scorching hot day , just like you would expect to have while listening to them . The big beach ball bouncing around the crowd , it was great .

Its still a mystery . Ive always felt that if you want to be with someone , you tell them . If they feel the same , they tell you . I know it sounds ridiculous , but it might just work ! Ive never been good at reading the signals , so I will only chase for so long , before I figure that she's just not that into me . Its always seemed like a game to me , never understood it . I know the woman wants to feel like she is worth pursuing like that ( and men too , no hate mail please ) but sheesh , let your feelings be known , and take it from there .

Potentially Good Threads Deleted, Shouldn't We Give Them a Shot?
Posted:

I agree with old inactive threads being deleted , and newbies being able to start or see a new one on what might be the same topic. Okay , some of the threads are done to death , but theres usually a new spin on it at least .
Every time I look into a new thread , the vote is at 4/5 or 6/7 voted to delete the thread , that stinks. Unless its a self pity thread , or something assinine , I always vote to not delete it.

I thought I read somewhere where you had moved on from Anderson ( cant help but follow the story line , lol )
OT ... Why is it that when people sing , you dont notice an accent ? its funny when you hear someone sing , sounds like they could be from down the block from you , but when they talk , theyre British , Scottish , or from the deep southern states or something . WHY ??

Dont meet her unless she knows its not a dating situation . If you want to meet her as friends , by all means , but make sure she knows as well . Otherwise, tomorrow there will be another man slamming thread .

I feel for ya , I really do . But do you really want to be with someone who would walk away , end things , says he still loves you , but doesnt make contact after 2 months ? My opinion is , he pulled the old I need some space routine . It's hard to accept sometimes , and I know people hate hearing it , but move on . Sounds like he did . Dont waste your time pining over someone who left you like that , waiting for his return . What he did was mean .
