I Need an Honest Review/Appraisal

Hi everybody. I get quite a few views, but no responses. Is there something glaringly (or even subtly) wrong with my profile? I think it's a little wordy, maybe it's boring?
Thanks in advance!

Somebody please tell me what is wrong

First, ignore that idiot that was so rude! :)
Your title says "someone to have fun with"... that can be interpreted as a "friends with benefits" invitation... at least to me :)
Second, while each of the things you say are fine, you list them one after the other, with no explanation. It's more like a laundry list than a description of yourself.
Like the previous poster stated, "to take care of me" sounds kind of needy and clingy, I'm sure that's not how you meant it.
Just my opinions, I'm camping (alone) on a Saturday night.... see how well my profile must be written???? :D

Thank you! I've made the changes you suggest, they make good sense! Let's see if that helps!

Any men over 35 seriously looking to get married?

Hopefully this won't get lost, this thread is really old! :)
I'm here specifically to find that special person. Even though my first marriage did not work out (there was an amicable divorce), I loved being married. It made wherever we were living (from a crappy college apartment to eventually, a big new house) feel like home. So I was young and it wasn't the "right" person, or maybe I wasn't the "right" person at the time...
I don't see the point in "dating" if it's not somebody I can imagine marrying. If I go on a second date, it means that I see something in that person that makes me look forward to "forever".
Anyway, that's my two cents as I sit at home on a Friday night :)

Two problems, the first being that I don't think my profile stands out at all, so please review and throw me your criticisms! :)
Second, I'm always told that I look much younger than my actual age (38) and have always dated girls at least 5-10 years younger (at least in the past 6-7 years). I just feel self conscious when I'm with someone who appears so much older than I do. Am I just being shallow and vain??? Part of it might be that I also feel like I have a lot more in common with people younger than I am... I dunno.... comments???
Thanks in advance!

"save the girlfriend hunt for post Iraq"
er.. Post Iraq is just a 12 month visit back here, before another 15 month deployment...
What woman can possibly resist that!!! LOL. I appreciate your responses :) Both here on the forum and the emails. Y'all are awesome!

Well, I knew that would be the case, hence my "disclaimer" :)

I'm not sure I'm expressing myself well... which is typical and probably why I'm still single...
Please look over my profile and give me some pointers? I'm being honest, and pointed out what I think is important, but I look at who's viewed me (some of them being VERY much what I'm looking for) but am not getting a response. And I'm too shy to initiate an email.
Thanks,
Adam

Random Acts of kindness

When I lived in Miami, I'd often pay the toll of the car behind me, because it WAS paying it forward. I'd left a relationship in Chicago, and driven home to South Florida to start all over, with basically what I could fit in a Mitsubishi Eclipse (which wasn't much!). Before I got to the last toll, I had to pay the toll with pennies from my ashtray. The plan was to just beg the next toll booth lady to let me through, as I all I had were my credit cards. It was about 3 am, with not another car in sight, as I pulled into the last toll plaza. Before I could open my mouth, the lady just said "Keep on going, the last guy through here paid your toll, about 10 minutes ago".
Since then, I've NEVER gone through a toll booth without paying for the next car. You never know who behind you is going through a really trying time and needs a reminder that there are still decent people in the world. And even if they're not going through tough times, sometimes it's just the small things that turn "just another day" into a great day.
<--- I've also been bought a beer a few times by complete strangers, when traveling in uniform... that's nice :)

Is it fair to "date" when I know I'm getting deployed to Iraq?
Posted:

Hi everybody, I'm newly stationed in Missouri, but will only be here until next spring, when I deploy for Iraq (I'm in the Army). I'd like to meet that certain someone, but I feel guilty looking for her when I know that I'll be leaving for over a year to go to war. So I've been hesitant about really trying.
What is your opinion?
Thanks,
Adam
