MEN ARE MESSES!
Posted:

Every one isn't a mess. My house is vacuumed, dusted, floors cleaned, and the lawn mowed every weekend. Laundry is done as the week progresses usually. You've just been finding "messes" I think. I've done the same thing when walking into womens places. Let me outta here!!!

What does Over the hill mean to you?

It's only a bad thing to folks that have lousy attitudes about aging. Their the ones with the issues with it. I'm more active now I've ever been in my life. It's all about attitude. We've all seen the worn out 30 year olds. You've got it, they don't.

Does their sun sign affect your interest level?

I'd never paid any attention to this in the slightest until a few months ago. A woman I went out with asked me my astrological sign. I thought she was a nut, but she hit it right on with what she was telling me. After that I Googled my astrological sign and it described me about 95% right on. I look em' up now. Don't know if it would change whether I did/didn't pursue some one, but I look it up to get some insight.

Over 45 Men, How should we dress? OK Ladies fire away!

Calling all men "fashion dudes" is enough for a make over call on you already. A lady once told me to "be yourself and everything will be fine". Words of wisdom. Don't worry about whether your boxers match your socks or not. Sheesh. Everyone is different and will look at you different. Be yourself. If your a metrosexual then do it well.

Hmm. I'd think you need to say more about yourself and specifically what your looking for. Blow your horn some but don't give away family secrets. Good luck to you.

Do you kiss yourself in the mirror when you wake up? Annoying! I think you've found your one and only love. You.

In print your response may be misinterpreted. If you were interested you might say "what exactly would you like to know" but qualify that with something on the nice side. Something that would be seen as encouraging. It's hard to understand the "tone" of something in print when you could say that in person and the guy would jump all over you.

I think a lot of us are guilty of looking for the "perfect" match. There's probably been millions of happily married couples out there that didn't match up perfectly and I surely don't want a carbon clone of myself. In casual conversation I've told people, not on online dating sites, that I'm not starting at ugly. Okay, so I'm I'm shallow.

Your "about me" section is mighty sparse. Tell me something about you and what kind of guy your looking for. Give some "flexible" specifics. The pics aren't very good.

That's not bad. I'd take the dislikes out though as their pretty common dislikes. Stay positive. Same with the foot/mouth sentence. Other than that it seems alright to me.
It's definitely not too deep.

Doesn't say enough about you. Get in there and tell guys about yourself. Don't divulge the family secrets. Just say something so that some one could see a little bit about what makes you tick. Good luck.

There's a lot of "God" in there.............liked it till then. If your totally into that aspect of your life then you may have to bide your time till that "guy" comes along. Otherwise toning that down some would probably help. Good luck.

No pics and your describing yourself in two lines.................that's it? Tell guys something about yourself. Open it up and talk about yourself some.
No pics equals no click.

Do I seem arrogant in my profile?
Posted:

Arrogant. No, I don't think so.
Improve your pics. Only two of them show you well, the ones with direct shots of you.
You obviously love what you do for a living.........tell me about you......not your job. To me, it doesn't tell me enough about "you". I get along with cats too, I talk to them all the time......get my point? What would you like to do with a guy? My 2cents worth.......Hope it helps.

Your main pic is too dark............can't see you in there. The "deal with it" to me comes across as kind of a %^$%. I think it would help to have some more interests in there. Other than that it's succinct and to the point.

Thanks EyeDye.......I've rearranged the profile as I've been thinking about that a while now. For now though I'll keep the pics of me and Piper as I like the pics and I'm not trying to fake anyone out. I have gotten good feedback on them from women. I'm not bogarting it.

Calling all 40-60Something Males?
Posted:
7/13/2007 9:41:54 AM
I'd definitely consider a woman my age long term but have found not one that's into the stuff I like to do. Not one in 4 months. I'm constantly looking at or contacting mid -40's women as it appears, at least in the D/FW area, that their still into outdoor activities. One woman told me that I'm in the wrong place for "outdoorsy" ladies but if I was in Colorado they'd be all over the place. Maybe so, but I'm not moving.
The key question is this: when the mid 40's women get to 50....is it over then? Don't know the answer to that. By the way.............nice profile.

Alright, I'm looking for some honest feedback on this profile. Let me have it! I seem to be having some issues getting across exactly what I'm looking for and who I am, and I find that hard to understand. Help!

Profile review? .......no, it's not too upbeat but it doesn't tell me much about you. Get some better pics as their all distorted. Get some one to take some pics that show what a good looking lady you are. Don't hide anything. God luck.
