A woman who wears a size 14 is probably somewhere around 140-150 lbs. I would say that is average. (depending on age as well)

I think everyone is placing too much emphasis on this. Why not meet the person and see if you find her (OR HIM) attractive to you and go from there?

And yes, I am overweight. And while you won't find me on the bike trail, you will find me in a swimming pool, walking the beach, and sometimes in the fitness room at my apt building.

And yes, once in awhile, I am in the chinese buffet. However, I stick to mostly chicken and veggies.....and I allow myself 2 pieces of general tso.

I'm a pretty terrific person in a non-perfect package. Like everyone else.

Why don't men like smart women?
Posted: 7/14/2006 9:22:20 AM
Wow...all these pages and it just isn't that difficult. I wouldn't go out with a man who is looking for a stupid woman. Truthfully, I don't think that's true of many men.

And Greystone, I LIKE debating politics at times! And even though there may not always be agreement, sometime you can learn from debate.

However, it would take a lobotomy to make me like Mr. Bush......

Karl Rove - CNN PiƱata for 18 months, not a peep about his absolution
Posted: 7/8/2006 8:27:41 AM
Karl Rove should be hung by ... well, you know where, but I suspect there wouldn't be much to clamp on to.

And Bush should be hanging with him. Bush STATED that he would prosecute anyone suspected of leaking the info about Plame. Course, he's lied the whole time he's been in office, whats one more?

Except....this administration has stripped the security that every covert agent previously had with this country. If our own government can't protect our agents.....then what's left?

As far as Plame's status being "well known".....I doubt it. CIA agents don't work that way. It is possible that a few of their close friends and family knew, but it was Rove who made sure the whole country knew, and then some.

For him to escape indictment is criminal.

And by no stretch of the imagination is Wilson to blame. He was sent to Niger on a fact seeking mission. When the facts didn't suit Bush's agenda.....he went ahead and accused Hussein anyway, dismissing Wilson's investigation. Wilson called him on it.....admirably so. As a result, Plame is "outed."

'nuff said.

AVERAGE SIZE for females....
Posted: 6/26/2006 4:20:45 PM
If I describe myself to a guy, I usually say, "I'm not skinny...so if skinny is what you prefer, then I'm probably not your type." And it they aren't intersted, they aren't interested.

Life goes on........

I prefer a man who replies to my comment with "well, lets just meet and see how well we get along."

Seems to be a lot of very shallow fish in here......both male and female

Political Office
Posted: 4/28/2006 1:21:23 PM
Where to begin?

The war in Iraq (took a wrong turn on the way to Afghanistan, I guess)
Lack of supplies for the troops
The paycheck our troops receive
Apathy towards the abuse at Abu Ghraib
His handling of the Katrina disaster (and yes....shared mess)
His re-organizing of FEMA (and hiring his unqualified pal)
Giving a token tax break (that I didn't see) and then allowing the gas prices to spin out of control
His views on the homosexual community
His inserting himself in the Terri Shiavo case (along with his equally disgusting brother)
Wire tapping
Fear tactics
Valerie Plame.....

There's a start...........

why are men so rude to women, judging them by looks
Posted: 4/24/2006 7:07:41 PM
I'd rather find out at the oneset than meet the guy and go out with him a few times and then have him just stop talking....

THAT is just so rude.

I want to meet a man who has the balls to be straight forward and honest. And it doesn't need to be in a rude way like that jerk was to you. A simple "I'm sorry but you aren't what I'm looking for" will do just fine.

That's ok. I get the last laugh. They don't know what they could have had.

And you're pics are fine KittyKat.....be glad you found out so fast what an ASS this guy was and I hope he's reading this!

PITTSBURGH STEELERS

My concern now is how it is going to go if Batch OR Ben can't play.

And I hear you O-T-B in regard to the beer! Although I do like Yuengling at times!

The Pastrami sounds real good though and I miss up-north pizza!

I get really homesick for Pittsburgh at times, -- I miss going to baseball games (ok, ok...they'll improve!) and I miss the changing seasons.

But then a trip to the beach and the bike week stuff helps.........

LOL...nephilim......

You think you have all the answers......

I will keep your age in mind.

I agree with you that you have to find someone you are "attracted" to, but your assumptions may end up costing you someday.......

You assume "fat" women can't be hot.

You assume "tattoed bikers" aren't tender and caring....

You assume that a man who looks beyond the outside package and is seeking a nice woman is "settling."

As a "fat" attractive, clean woman I am hot. (however "hot" is reserved for a man I care for.)

One of the most tender and caring men I ever had the pleasure of dating....is also a big ole' tattooed hairy biker. We remain the best of friends to this day and knowing him has enhanced my life.

I trust my "instincts" for the most part. If I like the man, and he's a good man, I generally find that he IS attractive to me.

I don't find your attitude attractive at all........but it is not "fat" women, or "women with children" or "chubby women" who are missing much with you. It is you that has cut out a whole bunch of women who could turn out to be fantastic. It is you that will miss out.

What is it with women and/or me?
Posted: 8/16/2005 10:37:47 PM
Mediccop....

Sent you a PM!

Any woman who would laugh at someone asking them out is just a snooty b*tch and you are lucky she laughed. Better finding out how nasty she is BEFORE you take her to dinner or a movie............ She probably chuckled all the way home to her empty apartment.

And you're right....if a guy treated me like she did you, I would definitely label him as a jerk not worth any more time. (and my feelings would be a little hurt too, as I'm sure yours were.)

Just keep the faith that we aren't all like her........

Dirty Talk or No Talk
Posted: 7/6/2005 7:38:03 PM
Dirty talk is different from dirty language.....

"oh honey.........that feels so incredible......your****fits so tight inside me. Can you feel the warmth from me as I close tightly around you?"

or........

nothing sexier than telling your lover what you are going to do to him just seconds before you do it.......

That, to me, is sexy.

Calling me a "cumslut" would be akin to a cold shower.

Creativity is the key.......

why do men just want sex
Posted: 6/29/2005 10:42:12 PM
I wonder if we get the impression that all men just want sex because we women talk about it all the time. Most of the posts in here are about sex.......and the replies in the posts go from flirting, to provocative, to downright graphic at times. And I am not excluding myself from that. Maybe we should show these guys that even though we can be great lovers....we have a lot more to offer than just that. I don't want to be someones "f**k buddy.......I want more involvement than that.

Women cannot deal with the truth or I'm talking to the wrong women.
Posted: 6/18/2005 9:28:23 AM
Hi Robert,

I don't think that Mel shot your ass off, she was just being honest. You were being honest as well....and that's never a bad thing.

You are a very well spoken man, but you are ultimately saying what way too many men say on the internet.....just not as well. Removing the flowery content of your words, you are looking for sex. Again, not a bad thing......at least this way you will be connected with women out there who are just looking for sex. Then you will both be happy.

My problem with internet dating is the lack of time put into it. I am an overweight woman.....that being said, I don't consider myself to be unattractive. I am a very easy person to date......probably too patient and at times, I need to be a little less nice. When I am with a man I care for, I am also an extremely passionate person. I am not trying to sell myself to you.....I am looking for more than a one or two night thing.

Is this a man vs. woman thing? Are most men looking for sexual gratification and nothing more?

The internet is a disposable thing. If you meet someone and find yourself thinking the next person might be better.....then its just a "log on" away....and not enough time is given to seeing if that person really would have been more.

Ah well.........

Live and learn.

Could be that if a man who is with a woman who doesn't want to try new things, he won't be comfortable doing that himself.

Well.......not doing it himself......

Wouldn't need a woman then!

She's probably lonely.

And then she meets a man on line and it is soooooooooo different from meeting one in a club or at work, etc.

You probably know what I mean. You tend to "give" more of yourself when you are sitting at a keyboard.....you reveal more of your feelings, your thoughts, personal things about you that you probably wouldn't lean across a bar to do. There is more intimacy to it.

I have had a man tell me something on line that just "touches my heart"......for instance, a guy I know whose wife left him and he is missing his little boy......

Or a good friend of mine who when we met on line told me about his girlfriend dying.....

And I don't usually meet a guy right away.....we have usually chatted for awhile first.

Give her a break dear!!

Do women really want a nice guy?
Posted: 4/18/2005 3:41:11 PM
Interesting question coming from a man! (and encouraging!) My very sweet, very nice friend (whose boyfriend just dumped her for a married gal who treats him like crap) and I were wondering the same thing about guys. Sometimes it seems like men walk right past the nice ones to take up with the one who is nasty. And it's not always because she's built like a brick you know what......

Why is that?

Yes women want nice men. (and yes, it's nice to have a little bit of "bad boy" thrown in the mix!) But he needs to know the difference between "bad" boy and "mean" boy and always look at me with "that look" in his eyes.......
