Yep that's right Steve...I am going to be in "The Graduate". Though I don't think it will be anything like the original...this will probably turn out to be a comedy...of errors!!!! LOL Any way, you all have a great time tonight... Don't expect to find Mr/Mrs Right....you may be disappointed. But, mingle, meet new people and maybe make a new friend or two. Just prepare yourself to have fun and if you don't know anyone...introduce yourself to the hostesses they will show you a good time, they did for me...you won't be disappointed that way.

Ok. I am now one of the people I complained about. I am not able to attend this event after all. I have to be at my daughter's graduation in Indianapolis earlier than I thought. I was told to be there at 3pm on Saturday, now I have to be there at 9am. I could have slept if it was still at 3, but, now...I have to leave by 4:30...that is usually about the time I get home from the dance and of course, breakfast. Nicole and Laurie...have another one two weeks from this one.

Hey, good start with sign-ups for this dance. Now if only they all show up? Weather and emergencies is the only excuse to sign up and not show to an event. It is like getting an invitation to a party and responding yes and then not showing or not even RSVPing. Expectations are high because of the better chances of meeting new people to have fun with... then when less than half show that signed up, expectations are lowered. And when expectations are lower, there's not a lot of questioning on whether you should take the time to go to another event...you just don't. Okay...I guess I have had my say on that matter. Next...

Not a bad start. Even with the glitch the invite was received. Do we really have this dance annually? I have been doing this for too damned long. But, not long enough to stop...have too much fun. Come out, meet new people, see old friends, dance and just have fun. I miss the icons...I want my icons back.

Steve is right, the strip-down was only a few guys...and though they were extremely hot, we needed more men involved. I swear, if more men got involved in the strip-down, word would get out and we would have more woman attend the dances, more women, usually attracts more men. More men...yippee Oh, what a nice cycle... oh, sorry Steve, did you mean more of both the sexes should attend the dances...

This is too cool. I don't have to wait too long to see all the great people I have met at these events. I want my damn icons back!!!! I would put one in here. These dances are a great way to meet new people or see old friends, get out of the house, exercise by dancing and just have fun. Of course, just like any other event, you may or may not meet the "person of your dreams", but, I can guarantee you will have fun and meet some really wonderful people. Give it a try...and if you are worried about coming alone and not knowing any one, just introduce yourself to one of the hostesses or myself and we will introduce you to others, you are not alone for long.

I think we should write to the moderator of POF and get our little icon dudes back. That should be POF s resolution...stop fixing what is not broke and bring back icons. Are all the people signed up going to attend this dance? There were a lot of people signed up for the Xmas dance and less than half showed up. OK enough Bitc*ing Laurie and Nicole are the perfect hostesses. They always throw a good dance. So, come out to meet new people, dance and have fun. What have you got to lose? A few hours of your life... you may find you have a lot in common with the other people that attend these dances and make new friendships or a new love interest.

One more day to see some really awesome people...you all know who you are... dance, have fun and meet some new awesome people. Hoping all that signed up will definitely show up becase the entry fee are both great causes. You are so right, Mary and Steve, the club is dark... I think we will need to get some glow sticks or something that blinks in order to find everyone...

Have not Speed Dated, however, I have been to many of Tammy's dances. I have always had a great time and enjoy the dancing and Outdoor Patio. If you have never attended a dance...this is one you will want to attend. Tammy is great at hosting these dances and Samy's is a place with lots to offer for all ages.

If we still had icons, I would place some here... Like the dancing banana, the head-banger, and the others that show a good time... but I can't, because there are no more icons... Yes, Steve, I still WANT my icons...I really don't know what you mean...I am the icon. One more day and then I can see all my good friends, dance, meet new people and possibly make new friends. Only thing missing, the pool and/or the dunk tank. It does not get better...

I also went alone to my first POF dance and Laurie, one of the hostesses, introduced me to a few of the people she knew and now...now, there is a huge group of us that have become good friends. Yes, some of them have found their significant other, but still come out to be with the friends we have made from these dances. Do not come with the idea of meeting your Mr/Ms Right...that happens rarely, come with the idea of meeting new people, possible new friends and just having fun. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. Damn it, damn it, damn it... I want my icons back!!!

Mark we are so proud of you...4.0 GPA No icons with the smiley guy going crazy...had to resort to the above...damnitall We will keep our fingers crossed that you can join us on Friday. It will be a great time... Dancing, meeting new people, seeing friendly faces, spending time with people you already know...and still want to see or hang out with.... Who could ask for more??? Starting over, even if the young guys aren't signed up, there are many young guys that attend the dances at Samy's. I have been to many and there is a mixed crowd of ages from 20s through 60s. Attend the dance and you will have a great time...I have never been disappointed at the dances at Samy's, good company, good music, good hostess and good time!!!!

Hey Tommy Still in the boot for another two weeks...doc says it is healing but still need to be careful to avoid stress breaks, so more of the boot. That is why I wasn't at the Blur...that and the snow... Can't believe that it was still snowing by me this morning and afternoon. When will it end? Miss all those POF people and can't wait to see them all again, hopefully prior to this dance. Maybe we can all meet for the SuperBowl somewhere. Any suggestions????
