Dog Breeds
Posted: 3/25/2008 7:14:44 PM | I just had to euthanize my 12 year old Bishon Frise and am still grieving for this little dog - my kids were just a little jealous of this baby. I have a wonderful oil painting of her in my living room.
This breed has now taken over our neighborhood since I got Cleopatra in May,1996. They are the most sweet-tempered puppies - they love to sit in your lap - sleep in your bed and share your meals. They were bred to be lap dogs for royalty (England, I think)!
Cleo weighed in at 12 lbs and could be carried under my arm. They are wonderful with children. There is a Bichon rescue that you can check out on the internet. On the down side - Cleo and I each had hair appts every five weeks. Price for her $30- for me $25. I used to laugh a lot! I actually now take care of a little three year old (Saydee Laydee) whenever her owner/parents go on vacation. | | | |
