Ads taking over my IM window
Posted: 3/27/2008 7:14:16 AM
Hi and thank you for your quick response. I clicked on your Firefox link and the first thing it said is "You must be using Firefox" which I do not. I use Internet Explorer and I have my Pop Up blocker ON. Any other suggestions?
Thank you ~Carol

Ads taking over my IM window
Posted: 3/26/2008 7:05:31 AM
Is this happening to any of you? In the middle of IM chatting with someone the entire Userplane window is filled with advertising and you can't get back to your chat without closing the window. This of course makes the person you are chatting with think that you have been rude and "closed the window" on them.
This has happened twice in the past few days.

Funny Names For Kids
Posted: 1/10/2008 6:16:03 AM
I was recently told a story from a mom of a teenaged boy. His friend's name is Jennifer Italia. Now that in itself is not so funny except the day he was going out and his Mom asked him where he was going and he said "To Jen Italia's house"!!
How did her parents NOT think of possible nicknames for their child before naming her? LOL

One more: A set of Korean male twins (age 17 now) that I personally know of:
Min Suck
Min Ho

Ok thanks for the info about double posting.. I haven't posted here before so I wasn't aware of protocol.
In reference to your reply....I did everything instructed AND sent an email to Userplane. Whoever Userplane is, they have not read my email.
It sure is a tough time of year to have this happen...
As if men and women don't have enough challenges with communicating...LOL

Messenger NOT working right for 2 days [CLOSED Thread]
Posted: 12/22/2007 2:18:13 PM
This issue was sort of addressed and then the forum was closed. I have done all the necessary tests (Javascript etc) and I emailed "Userplane" (UNREAD)
I did all troubleshooting possible. The Messenger never seems to connect. This is not only happening to me but to some of my POF friends too. We have emailed each other through POF stating that the Userplane Messenger is not working and to please make contact through AIM/AOL or Yahoo. It has been confirmed that this challenge seems to be site-wide. On rare occasions, the messenger connects but usually not. This is going on for the past 2 days.
What can be done to fix this?

You've already posted here --> Instant Messenger not working as of late

One post is sufficient, or if you have additional information, post in the same thread.

Thanks - Trappedonbayst

Instant Messenger

That function works fine on jdate and they have the same messenger system. If someone missed an IM, they would automatically be emailed a message with the subject line "Missed IM" and a copy of what the message was. Although, having not been an actual paid member of jdate for well over a year I can't say whether it continues to work properly.

Speaking of the messenger...it has not been working properly for the past couple of days. It just keeps trying to connect. I ran the javascript tests etc and I sent an email to userplane (no reply yet). I read your reply in the closed forum on this topic and while it may sometimes be the case that the user is no longer logged on, this is happening when trying to connect with EVERY user. Many times I've ended up IMing through AIM or Yahoo and the other parties have also been experiencing technical diffilculties with their messenger.....so I know it is not just me or my computer.

Happy Holiday!

Income range?
Posted: 7/8/2007 8:00:57 AM
Many other dating sites have an area in which people can post an income range. This is most helpful when contacting perspective dates. Is this something that can be added to our profiles?

Suggestion: Marital Status question when signing up
Posted: 7/8/2007 7:59:07 AM
I am curious about the marital status "single"
In my definition it means "never married" but I have IMd with people that state they are "single" when in fact they are divorced, separated or widowed. May I suggest that it be more clearly defined on the "application" when first signing up? I personally would NOT be interested in dating a 50 something man that has never been married while the younger people may NOT want to date someone that HAS been married.

Thank you ~Carol
