What does it take for you to be monogamous?
Posted: 6/17/2009 1:56:22 PM
I've never cheated when in a relationship, because I know the pain it causes. It's not that I've never been tempted, I have, but it's wrong.

My ex cheated because she felt the grass was greener. Maybe she was right, but our kids don't think so. She also couldn't be alone. Cheating was her way of finding out that the next guy would stay before she got rid of me. I feel sorry for her in a way (small way) because she is now with someone who is probably cheating on her. (what goes around)

I just think it's better to end one relationship before you start another.

Thin Overweight Average

I'm 5'9 and 177 pounds. I bench 235. I play hoops twice a week. I play tennis whenever I can find a game. I was a martial artist on and off for 30 years now. I'm always trying to drop three pounds of fat and gain three pounds of muscle. Right now I'm in relatively good/ athletic shape. In a woman I look for me equal or at least not the women listed as "A few extra pounds". (A few seems to run 30 or more pounds here) Please try to have your best days ahead of you. (even if they're not) Don't give up on being better tomorrow than you were today. That does take work, but instead of viewing it as work, if you think of it as fun. . .I'm happy! (If this is not fun for you, we would not be a match) If you pin me down to giving up a size I like, I'll say a fit/thin/athletic/average woman who is a size 2-8 is what I like. When a woman hits size 10, my interest goes out the window. There are some HOT women out there who are size 18s, but they're not for me. Height, Hmmmm, 5'0" to 5'9

religion in a relationship...deal breaker?
Posted: 4/1/2009 9:46:45 PM
If you met someone and they worshiped the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus, could you overlook it. When they start to tell you how Santa is going to take them to the North Pole when they die to make toys, could you respect them? If they saw in your eyes your total wonder over how they could possibly be so foolish, would they want to stay with you knowing how you felt. It's one thing to date person. Dating can be just that. . .dating. Nothing serious. A few drinks. A few movies. A few dinners. A few rolls in the hay. BUT if you start to really like the other person, and then they tell you a big giant in the sky controls all the good things on the planet, and a bad red guy with horns and a pointy tail forces people to do evil, you may just find it really hard to be together.

Ladies That hate recieving oral sex
Posted: 3/19/2009 10:09:48 PM
My ex-wife didn't want it. She almost always stopped me if I started heading south. I pretty much forgot what it tasted like, what it felt like to slide my tongue across a clit, etc. The new GF likes it. I also like it. I can't figure out the ex's attitude. I guess that's one reason she is the ex.

A potential partner with Alcohol issues.. is it worth the pain
Posted: 9/11/2008 3:45:04 PM
OP, run now, run fast. Why go through years of "I'll stop tomorrow". Go to a meeting. Listen to the stories and think "Do I really want to keep going to these meetings?????" Are these people happy with their partners. Should they have gotten out sooner. Should I get out before I get to attached, or have kids or property with this person.

BTW my Dad and brother drank. My other brother gambled his way to jail. So it's not like I'm just saying s**t. It is painful being around people who have huge adiction problems. So again RUN!!!!

Ya, I know. . . . .harsh. I can live with it.

Snooping, is it okay if your happiness is being jeopardized?
Posted: 9/11/2008 3:30:37 PM
If I'm doing something wrong and a girlfriend were to find out by going through my personal things . . .I would only be mad I got caught. She probably had a reason to do what she did. One obvious reason is she didn't want to waste time on a guy who maybe is lying to her. If I have nothing to hide and she goes through my stuff, I guess I'm a little put off, but maybe the relationship gets better because her fears are now put aside.
Also after being cheated on by my ex-wife, I can see why people check on their partners. They just want to know what's going on. They want to know what REALLY is going on, or not going on before days, weeks or years go by. I wish I had known the facts about my ex sooner. I guess that's my baggage. So for me, I'm a little gun shy. To much knowledge in a good relationship should never hurt it. Knowledge in a bad relationship just ends it quicker.

Athletic or A Few Extra Pounds
Posted: 8/22/2007 10:57:01 AM
Is George Forman "athletic"? How about those big sumo guys? Maybe the lineman in the NFL? They are all world class athletes, right!!! Would it be better to list height and weight? Saying you used to weight lift means nothing! Used to is in the past. POF only gives a few choices. When I read average, I think size 10. If you listed A FEW EXTRA POUNDS I think size 14 or more. Sometimes WAAAAY more. On the other hand. A few extra pounds could be a person who is in shape but feels they could lose 5 pounds. WE NEED MORE CHOICES!!!!! Tell me the woman is 5'7" and 140lbs. Show a picture. Let me figure it out.

Guys and Strippers
Posted: 8/9/2007 2:03:27 PM
I've never really liked going to strip clubs. I've been dragged there a few times in a group. When I've been there I always wonder WHY are the women doing this??? Obvious answer. . .the money. I can't touch them, so no happy ending for me. LOL So again I wonder. . .why are we here. It's always nice to look at hot women, but it just seems weird all around. I'm sure I'll end up going again in the future, but it always makes me a little uncomfortable.

Take back my cheating wife and restore the marriage???
Posted: 8/9/2007 1:50:36 PM
She cheated before. You will still be you and she will still be who she has always been. I think you will always have trust issues with her. If you can move on, maybe that would be best in the end. If however you can't move on, or maybe you want to be back in the home full time with the kids, then maybe go back. I vote to end it.

GUYS!!! If you met the right woman, could you wait for the sex till marriage?
Posted: 8/9/2007 5:43:58 AM
I wouldn't wait. I might want to be in the relationship for two years before walking down that Looooooonnnng isle again. (If ever) I'm NOT going to be dating someone that long and not have a physical relationship with her. It just wouldn't feel right to me on many levels.

If a woman told me that, I'd be gone!

gun control in the usa
Posted: 8/7/2007 12:54:15 PM
I feel hunters need rifles to hunt, great! Does that hunter or anyone else need that to be an automatic weapon? No!!! I own a handgun, plus a rifle for hunting, but my question is. . . Would this country be better off without handguns. Handguns in this country kill more Americans than are being killed in the war!!!!!! Outlaw them, have gun buy backs, have the US give us a credit towards a new rifle, knife, or bow and arrow, whatever. I just can't see a guy getting in an arguement in a bar and whipping out his bow and arrow! LOL There isn't anyone anywhere with any brains that deep down doesn't know that deaths would go down if they stopped selling the guns.

The arguement sometimes put forth is handguns are useful if your house is broken into. Unless I'm sleeping with my loaded handgun under my pillow, it's kind of useless. In my case, I have kids. The gun has a lock on it. It's unloaded. The keys to the lock are hidden away from the gun. It would take me four or five minutes to get it loaded in order to be useful in a break in. If you are someone who keeps a loaded gun under YOUR pillow, you may be more likely to be killed by your own gun, than by the frightened guy who is breaking into your house. You might alswo want to move to a better area.

One funny but sad thing is the predictability of what we will see about four or more times each year on TV. Some young innocent person will killed by a gun within every urban area. The next week you will see the parents of that child on TV marching with 50 people, all calling for the end of this useless violence. The broadcast will last 30 seconds on the 10PM news. We will all block it out for another two or three months, when we will see almost the same story again on the news. Another sad family and another march. Between those two marches, about 40-60 people will be killed by guns in most large urban areas. Another countless number will be shot but live. Then about once per year some well known person will step forward to try to stop the NRA over something, and they will be labeled as anti 2nd amendment nuts.

I know my post will not change anyones mind. The NRA has brainwashed people into thinking they need that $450 glock, and an NRA membership. As Woodward and Bernstein were told "follow the money". The selling of guns is big money!!!

I looked at your profile and I think you look hot. Your chest is not huge, but you do have a chest to be happy with. As someone said 'when you are 40, they will look great. I'd stay away from the knife.

Thin Overweight Average
Posted: 8/2/2007 4:31:22 PM
I'm a fairly athletic guy. It does not come naturally to me. I work at it and enjoy doing the work, or should I say play. When I read thin and athlectic on this site, I hope they are telling the truth. When I read average. . .I think dress size 12,14,16, maybe 18. I read e-mails and posts here that say the average American women is a size whatever (about 14) That's all well and good, but we all look for things to do with our partners. Activity/sports are a few of the things I find I need in life. If I read thin or athletic ,and in interests I see tennis, golf, working out, bike rides, etc. , I think that person and I have a starting point. If I read eating out, cooking, gardening, and spooning, I think coach potato. If they say a few extra pounds, I think 40 extra pounds or more. Combine that with no picture, and I think 70 extra pounds or more. These are not always true guidelines, but it seems to be more often true than not. So for me, if I read a few extra pounds, it might as well say unemployeed, homeless, smoker.

I'm not the perfect catch either. It's not like 25 year old models are breaking my door down. Why is that???? I'm 50, we have nothing in common, and I'm not rich! They have standards that I don't meet. Will I loose sleep over it? No! So anyone out there that is "A few extra pounds" be happy, but your not for me. We would not be happy together.

How do I get my stuff back...?
Posted: 7/30/2007 2:07:19 PM
I'd get in touch with him and tell him "the next person I'm going to talk to about my stuff is you kid (s)". He may be a jerk but he doesn't want his kids to meet his ex-girlfriend. Maybe you have some of his undies to return. Would he want you to hand them to his kids? NOOOOOOOO!!!!! I bet if you say it in a very firm pissed off tone, you get your stuff back quick.

nawwww.. this isn't working for me
Posted: 7/30/2007 1:56:26 PM
Sure guys like to get laid, and so do the women on this board and at the store where you shop! However many want to get laid only after getting to the point where it feels right for them. One thing to keep in mind is that this is the internet. People often say things on the internet that they would never say in person. It's kink of like the jerk driving next to you on the road. The guy will make faces at you and flip you off for little or no reason. Get the jerk out of his car and he's Mr. Even Temper. Some people on the net say crap just to get your blood presure up. They do it to fire you up. When you respond with the"Oh my God" post; they just won! Some people actually feel exactly what they right here. Those people also shop and buy gas next to you.

My brother would F**K anything years ago. We would go to a bar at night and sure enough, he'd be there at the end of the night, often talking to some butt ugly woman. A half hour later she'd be yelling "harder harder" in his room. He'd beg me not to tell people what he did. I always told everybody!!!!! It was a joke to all our friends.

As stated in a number of posts here. The days of f**king everybody you want for fun are gone if you care about your life. STDs Kill!!!!! Many of us have gotten carried away more than once, but it's the biggest roll of the dice out there.

As you can see by my post. I'd normally want to be on the safe side. I'd wait for date 3 or maybe date 10 or maybe I'd feel after 5 dates that this relationship was going nowhere. In that case, I'd never get to it. Then again maybe we'd do it on the first date, but but but, probably not!

Good luck finding Mr. Right and not Mr. I gotta get laid right now.

Why do men stare at womens boobs & think we don't notice ???
Posted: 7/20/2007 1:35:44 PM
I used to work at a jewery store. Women would come in and bend over the counter all the time to look at the jewery. Obviously when a woman does this, her boobs often go on display. I simply instinctively looked. It was great when the woman was young and attractive, but often she was old, wrinkled, liver spotted, and droopy. Those were the times I cringed inside. So the answer is. . .we can't help it. If you don't want to have them looked at, put them away. I can never understand it when a woman wears a top that is cut where even a few inches of cleavage is showing, and then becomes offended if you glance at the girls. Try as I may, I just got to look. Probably in my casket, when the women bend over and look in to say their last good byes, I'll glace up and think, "nice tits". LOL
