to cleverkitten, your'e thinking nearly on my wavelength but I thought more lack of something in the trouser department makes up for posing with the fish, the bigger the better, plus the same goes with the cars, bigger, more flash, usually speaks volumes !!!

stay friends ..? or let go..?
Posted:

I think its always best to let go,make a clean break and move on,its not good to stay friends its not the way to allow yourself to close the door on the relationship you had,you need to make the break to move on and look forward to a new relationship,Ive always done this and never returned to any of my previous fellas or even spoken to them,I just move on,oh heck, sounds hard but you gotta do it!!

male menopause
Posted:

I always wondered if there was such a thing like we women have to cope with,so after searching on Google low and behold, there it was but also called Andropause,I've known men from the age of around 45 onwards going through mood swings, lack of sex drive to virtually non exsistence, depression, weight gain, all the trappings that go with the female menopause,so you blokes out there of a certain age,how you feeling,is this you?

Cat and dog owners are to be told to provide entertainment and mental stimulation for their pets under new government advice.
Posted:
11/5/2008 3:06:46 AM
if owners provided all the love and care an animal needs then there shouldnt be any need for government interference, but looking at the ads for the RSPCA and newspapers that show mindless adults being cruel to them, then all that has caused the government to step in,all animals have a brain, feelings etc,and its up to the owners to show them what they are capable of,its just like house training, being obiedient when out walking, you teach them and they will learn, therefore in return you always get unconditional love back from them, very rewarding.

to all who are attending the vicars and tarts party, yes it was me who came up with the idea,as these parties were the trend years ago, thought it would be a good idea to see one re-appear,so put the suggestion forward to my very good friend BB,who liked the idea very much,it must be my saucy nature!!,but lets not go there!!,so hopefully I can attend but if not I know you will all have such fun with this idea,ENJOY!!

Letting your son/daughters partner stay
Posted:
4/9/2008 1:37:31 AM
I was never allowed to have boyfriends stay over when i was younger,my dad was very strict in every sense of the word,so after that I never ruled with an iron rod like him,so when my daughter was going steady with her boyfriend I allowed him to stay over, times have changed i think and its more of a relaxed society, but having said that I'm not sure if its a good thing or a bad one!!, plus they make good housesitters when your'e away!!

I used to work in a nursing home for the elderly, wearing the nurses uniform, you know the sort, blue overall, fob watch, black belt, flat shoes and black tights, had to pop out to the nearby shop,a passing post office van passed rubber necking me and crashed into the wall,he was ok just a bit embarrassed but uniforms do 'things' to the hot blooded male, but I think men use uniforms to their full advantage sometimes,as do some women in uniform, although traffic wardens are never drooled over !!

Empty Nest Syndrome - How did YOU cope?
Posted:

I've yet to experience the syndrome, carn't wait actually, and I dont mean that nastily, mine is 32,looking for a place but deep down is unsure of taking the final leap,my wish is to see her settled in her own place knowing she is ok and coping well,I've had trial periods when she's been away for weeks at a time and must say enjoyed it!!,some people get on better when they are apart and have their own places,

Moving on, getting over your ex, starting over again!
Posted:
3/15/2008 3:16:53 AM
I always believe that once a relationship is over it should mean over,I dont believing in keeping contact with ex's at all,I can never understand why people do,in my opinion it isn't moving on,because they are still there floating around in the background,ok,if children are involved fair enough but if not, then I believe in closing the door on that relationship and leaving it there, then you can say you have moved on,

Sad day for my dog!
Posted:
3/15/2008 3:04:57 AM
Iknow what you are going through, been through it before and have yet to do it again as my dog is 16,going blind and deaf, plus the lack of mobility in his back legs are deteriorating,so although I'm trying to prepare myself for the inevitable, nothing really can prepare me,so just allow yourself to go through the normal grieving process and slowly it will get a little better with time and you will remember all the times you had with great happiness,
to SJS poem was very touching, bought tears to my eyes!

Taking a new relationship slowly - why do that?
Posted:
3/11/2008 7:35:43 AM
I so agree with taking things slowly in a new relationship, from past experience I saw my then b/f very day and weekend, which was really too much because it did cause the relationship burnout, but now in present relationships I make sure we would see each other only a few times to begin with until it got stronger, then still taking it a little bit more at a time,no rushing if you want the relationship to work,

How do you deal with the early stages of a relationship?
Posted:
2/29/2008 2:51:29 AM
I agree with storm300,just enjoy each time you spend together, have fun and get to know each other without having great expectations and hopes, that kind of thinking usually ruins things and doesnt always stay the course, and like previously mentioned, leave the past in the past and let the future take care of itself,if it becomes something more then thats good,in my personal opinion,I always keep my eyes wide open, dont let my heart rule my head, just go with the flow and dont expect too much at the start, enjoy!!

Posted:

In one simple word,no, but I would like to be told before finding out from someone else,I feel thats where the trust goes out the window leaving you to be always wary, once you know about it,it leaves you wondering when the next time will be,

Can the eyes lie ?
Posted:
2/25/2008 11:29:20 AM
I do believe the eyes are the windows to your soul,I find that if someone can hold your gaze without looking away then they are being truthful and genuine, but if they look to the side or any other direction then that gives them away and should tell you that they are not being honest, tears in the eyes mean emotions of one type or another,

Huge egos
Posted:
2/19/2008 12:02:57 PM
I've experienced this before,it reminds me of stag rutting!!,they think they are much better/bigger(if you know what I mean) than the person you are with at the time,so they will say absolutely anything to lure you away,I think they wonder how the guy hooked you,and feel they need to go one better and bring on the big ego thing hoping that you will be so impressed you will have to dump your guy and sway towards the charmer,

This can be a bit of a nuisance at times especially when your'e in the middle of messaging someone but I just click on no,on the other hand I have talked with people as far away as Australia,America,Italy etc and found them very interesting to talk to,but there is the option to turn it off or just allow favourites to message you,I haven't initiated any before, but when they know I'm not interested they seem ok about it and wish me well on the site.

Is it possible to renew a mans faith in women
Posted:
2/5/2008 1:49:31 AM
since being on this site I have spoken to many men who have lost faith in women after being cheated on or hurt in some other way,but it does work both ways, for us women too, which I think this has now created the term f*** buddies which was the topic of discussion on here a while ago, its up to the man to see how he feels and wether he can continue to keep looking for the right one and not let the hurt in him take over his life making him bitter,

I so very much agree with message 4, its up to you what you do,rods and back spring to mind, but in my opinion ex's mean ex's,I like to think they are part of my past and move on,you never get back what you had,I think you could be clinging onto her in the hope that it will be ok,you could end up bringing baby up too, her family should be doing the caring for her, nice people get taken advantage of so be careful about this

Older Women And Younger Men Dating.... What Do You Think?
Posted:
2/3/2008 2:31:06 AM
since being on this site I must admit to having qiute a lot of younger men(30 upwards) interested in dating me,even though I put my age preferences on my profile, they still keep contacting me,but I feel more like their mother than a potential date,as I have a daughter who is 32, which they would be more suited to her,so in my opinion, for me ,its something I'm not comfortable with, but the flattery they give me is very nice!!
