A blonde goes into her local pet shop in search of an exotic pet. As she looks about the store, she notices a box full of frogs. The sign says: "Sex Frogs! Only $20 each! Comes with complete instructions." The blonde excitedly looks around to see if anybody's watching her.
She whispers softly to the man behind the counter, "I'll take one." As the man packages the frog, he quietly says to her, "Just follow the instructions." The blonde nods, grabs the box, and is quickly on her way home.
As soon as she closes the door to her apartment, she opens the instructions and reads them very carefully. She does exactly what is specified:
1. Take a shower.
2. Splash on some nice perfume.
3. Slip into a very sexy nightie.
4. Crawl into bed and place the frog beside you, and the frog will do what he has been trained to do.
She quickly gets into bed with the frog and to her surprise, nothing happens. The blonde is very disappointed and quite upset at this point.
She rereads the instructions and notices at the bottom of the paper it says, "If you have any problems or questions, please call the pet store." So the blonde calls the pet shop.
The man says, "I'll be right over."
Within minutes, the man is ringing her doorbell. The blonde welcomes him in and says, "See, I've done everything according to the instructions. The damn frog just sits there."
The man, looking very concerned, picks up the frog, stares into its eyes and says very sternly: "Look, I'm only going to show you how to do this one more time!"

Your first car?
Posted: 5/20/2006 8:15:21 AM
My first car was not my high school hot rod, lol, but it was a dark green '69 Plymoth Road Runner with a 383 Magnum (it meant it sucked more gas, lol) engine. My senior year I moved up to a '70 Olds 442! (was one of the Top Ten Muscle Cars ever built according to Hot Rod Magazine) Man.........those were the days!!

Prison joke
I have already sent this one out to several here on this 'fish pond' and had favorable responses. To everyone else now, I hope you enjoy.......
THE ESCAPEE
A man escapes from a prison where he has been kept for 15 years. He breaks into a house to look for money and guns and finds a young couple in bed. He orders the guy out of bed and ties him to a chair. While tying the girl to the bed he gets on top of her, kisses her on the neck, then gets up and goes into the bathroom. While he's in there, the husband tells his wife: "Listen, this guy is an escaped prisoner, look at his clothes! He probably spent lots of time in jail and hasn't seen a woman in years. I saw how he kissed your neck. If he wants sex, don't resist, don't complain, do what he tells you, just give him satisfaction, now matter how much he ravages you. This guy is probably dangerous. If he gets angry, he'll kill us. Be strong, honey. I love you". To which the wife responds, "He wasn't kissing my neck. He was whispering in my ear. He told me he was gay, thought you were cute and asked if we kept any Vaseline in the bathroom. I told him where to find it. Be strong, honey. I love you too".

What Is a Soulmate?
Posted: 5/4/2006 11:15:56 PM
KUDOS to "foolsgold" (msg. 25) and her definition of a soulmate!
I PERSONALLY believe that their are MORE THAN JUST ONE soulmate(s) in a persons lifetime. Please let me explain why. Now I am not using the same 'ol Hollywood version of that word or what you might read in romance novels, but rather a more realistic view of the word. What is viewed on the screen and read in novels only 'romances' the idea of a SINGLE partner for life. I PERSONALLY believe that you actually have SEVERAL in a lifetime.
Did you not have a sibling that you were closer to than the others? (I fear that this will be taken in the wrong manner by some, but) I do NOT believe they ALWAYS have to be of the opposite sex either. Have not you ladies had 'girlfriends' or guys have 'buddies' in your lifetime that you felt an unusually common bond with? What about a co-worker that you just really relate to well on a very casual basis? I PERSONALLY believe that ALL of these examples can be viewed as "soulmates".

^^Yeppers, I am going to have to agree with Joy on this one^^
Unfortunately sir, you do not know of what you 'speak'. Although I do quite often have people guessing my age younger than I am, I can provide a very lengthy list of BEAUTIFUL ladies (from this POF site) that would blow your 'theory' out of the water. Seriously 'dude', their are waaaaaay to many LADIES on this big 'ol fish pond whoose physical appearance
DEFIES their chronological age!
I do not mean to demean you, but with age comes wisdom and experience.
Happy fishing everyone!
PS......I would obviously have to ask each of the LADIES I write of their permission before I went to listing/posting their 'handles' on a thread. IF the OP cares to write me, then I will gladly produce such a list.

ITS LIKE A GOLDMIND FOR MEN HERE IN POF
Posted: 4/10/2006 8:56:14 AM
AGREED.......their are PLENTY of ATTRACTIVE LADIES in this pond
, but you are referring to the 'bad apple' syndrome. I DO think it is fairly easy to 'get laid' IF that is what you are looking for, but I have some interesting conversations and made a few friends on here along the way!
I think most of us 'fish' find it is much safer to hang-out in the Forums and enjoy some witty banter along the way.
On the JADED side of things you come to realize that is what USUALLY bites about this internet dating thing.......it seems like 'they' are always waitng for something better to come along. It is to easy to be replaced when you do not have a intimate relationship with someone.
Their are pluses and minuses to this big 'ol fish pond, but I will focus on the POSITIVE side of it. I will choose to ENJOY the people (Oooops....FISH) I come in contact with and if they choose to really know me they will be able to see what I 'can bring to the table' when it comes to a relationship!
Keep SMILING!!!

Hitting on women in gyms ?
Posted: 3/30/2006 7:35:36 PM
It is a NO-GO for me! I WON'T GO THERE because I am under the impression she is there for the same reason I am........to WORKOUT!!
Although I have been told by more than one person
to get off the internet and get into the gym to meet women, lol, the 30 years that I have been in and out of gyms have told me otherwise. MOST do NOT like to be approached or bothered.
On the other hand, (because FORM is critical to me) I have offered suggestions/advice on the proper way to do an exercise to get the best/most benefit from it. (IF I see it done incorrectly) MOST women are at least approachable WHEN you are TRYING to help.
PS.....a good workout partner is HARD to find, lol

Well Juls.......I know that the 'grass is NOT always greener on the other side' because that pasture USUALLY has just as many weeds & thorns, but I also believe that LOVE has no boundries either!
I totally disagree with MARCO 45 who says: "I find that woman that live in other countries are full of fals hopes and dreams....
". I believe that one should never laugh at anyone's dream. People who don't have dreams don't have much.
I would personally travel the world in search of the 'woman of my dreams'. No, I have not done any international travel as of YET, but I do not rule that possibility out. My friends are amazed at the amount of travel I do in my search, but hey......I LIKE TO TRAVEL!
I WILL search the ends of the earth (IF I have to) to find that one that gives me a chemical reaction everytime I see her. The one who I can connect with on a PHYSICAL
level, a MENTAL level and even a SPIRITUAL
level. Someone I can have FUN with everyday for the rest of my long life ahead!!!
I am sure their are a lot of FINE men their in the UK......just as their are ladies in the USA......but do not be afraid to look beyond the borders if that is where your heart takes you. My compliments to you and best wishes for success in your search!
Happy FISHING

Fat or Thin?
Posted: 2/22/2006 8:59:57 AM
IF I had a choice, it would be THIN. Their are far LESS health related issues to being thin than being fat. To me, it is all about proportion. I am more concerned (as we ALL should be) with my percentage of bodyfat than what the scales actually reads.

Cardio Exercise
Posted: 2/1/2006 11:44:38 AM
Good point! "princess" you should really be MORE CONCERNED WITH BODYFAT THAN WEIGHT. As you tone your body you will be replacing the fat with muscle. I had a training partner once (female) who appeared to weigh about 120 lbs. or less. I was shocked when she told me her weight would vary between 130-135 lbs. She was very strong, but still sleek & slender. We only trained about 3X a week on cardio as we were just 'maintianing' what we had. I personally up the cardio when I feel the need to 'lean out' at times. (but I mostly lift for size and strength) IF you care to write me, I will be glad provide suggestions for your arms & abs.
Although I thoroughly agree with your statement concerning motivation, I will say RELAX as consitent, persistent effort WILL produce results. When I train someone, it IS important to design a program to produce the QUICKEST results. That is why I agree with you.....RESULTS DRIVE MOTIVATION! Just please be realistic in your expectations!!
CONGRATS and keep up the good work

KUDOS to the last post!
Eloquently written and very well stated!! Ooooops......have to edit as I was referring to Linguatic's post.
@foxfire......a standing ovation to you as well for TRYING to refute such antics as "World" tries to express. Problem is......he is so FAR left that he lives in a 'fantasy' world and it is pointless to exercise a rebuttal. I now read his posts as for pure amusement and entertainment! I must confess though......it is fun to slap him around a little with COMMON SENSE, LOGIC & REASONING.......which seems not to enter his mind. (not to mention a good dose of REALITY based on TRUTH and not on conspiracy theories

Well "princess"......."awaitingyu" has given you excellent advice! The only thing I can add is to remind you that MUSCLE BURNS FAT. Your pics reveal nice tone legs and I agree that their is no need to 'bulk-up', but you can add muscle in certain places to accenuate your figure.

Question about cancer
Posted: 2/1/2006 8:16:49 AM
Dislike having to contradict "princessnaughty"......(do NOT want to get on her bad side
), but they have determined the biggest cause is 'FREE RADICALS' that float around in your system. Their effects can be countered by the use of ANTI-OXIDANTS (such as Beta Carotene or CoQ10). It is also important to keep a 'akaline' body for cancer cannot survive in such as state as compared to an 'acidic' body.
PS......their are several books to read up on this topic as well. My personal suggestion would be: "Never Be Sick Again" by Raymond Francis.

Fair enough. I can see how you could draw that conclusion if you were only reading the 'headline topic' or 'thread topic'. Only "sweet.gurl" conveyed on here original post what she was referring to:
"I understand that there are other countries that threaten ALL of us, but why not leave it up to the UN or other European countires to deal with North Korea and Iran. Seems to me we're looking at the wrong WAR MONGER.....".
Therefore, I was directing this thread back to its' original intent........and NOT taking off on a tangent about Social Security.

DUH........and the purpose of that post is WHAT? How does that have ANYTHING to do with what the current thread is about? Their are plenty of other 'Bush bashing' threads to post on IF you find that funny. WHY do I even bother to ask for people to FOCUS on what the TOPIC thread is about???

Okay FISH......let's TRY TO FOCUS! I know this is/was just another 'Bush bashing' thread, but let's at least TRY to stay on topic, eh? (lol, the 'eh' part was for our Northern neighbors
) ......and just how did I know that 'grog' would jump on?
First off let me say "HA!" when it comes to the EU or the UN.
What a JOKE! I guess EVERYONE DOES NOT KNOW how corrupt the UN is. IF the UN had taken care of Saddam Hussien, why would have President Bush HAD to "dirty" his hands? Pres. Bush even CHALLENGED the UN to do so, but resolutions without CONSEQUENCE are MEANINGLESS!!! Can we at least agree on that??? Just how many YEARS and how MANY resolutions did Saddam just 'thumb his nose' to the world BECAUSE HE KNEW HE COULD? It has been said (and this is not a direct quote) that 'all evil needs to advance is for just one good man to do nothing'.
Now let's look at N. Korea. We had 'Ol Bill sending Jimmy Carter to fix (some would say APPEASE) the problem. Guess what..........the N. Koreans LIED to us! GASP!!! The N. Koreans WERE making weapons grade material. (who would have 'thunk' it?) NOW they tell us THEY have a bomb. We now see the same thing developing in Iran.
I would now like to TURN THE QUESTION around to the original author of this post. "sweet.gurl", do you really think that the UN or EU has the CORRECT answers to your question. I mean........are we going to go with the doctrine of APPEASEMENT that has FAILED THROUGHOUT history? (Should I go on a little history lesson to prove my point? Just look at the stark contrast between Chamberlin vs. Churchill when it came about WHAT to do with the Germans and the sake of Europe) PACIFYING AND APPEASING EVIL NEVER WORKS!!! Evil MUST be stomped, killed & destroyed in order to stop it.
War is never an easy task and SHOULD be the last resort. Woe to the leader whose decision it falls ...........as it takes strong resolve to make an unpleasant decision.

Total Gym - anyone have one?
Posted: 1/17/2006 8:44:40 PM
I will have to concur with the previous post as I have owned a Bowflex for a few years now and I love it!
It is SMOOTH and it is a QUICK workout as well. If I am not building or training specific......then it only takes 2-3 times a week to maintain what I have (or my current level of fitness) I can get a really good workout (total body) in about 20-30 minutes time. Gotta love that!!
I also will agree with Sweetiie and say that you definitely need a good set of dumbells as well. (I have the kind that stack inside themselves which takes up a heck of a lot less space than traditional dumbells) I added a recumbent bike for my cardio as I can sit back and read while get my 'SWEAT TIME' in. The last thing I added was a dip/pull-up station that can work your abs as well. I live in a two-bedroom Condo and this all fits in my second bedroom that has been converted. Total cost for me was about $2K.
To answer YOUR question, I think the "Total Gym" can be an effective piece of equipment, but I PREFER the Bowflex to anything out there. (and I have the older model that only weighs about 70 lbs. total)
Oooooops........I was not counting the incidentals that can add to your workouts. Jump rope, exercise ball, swivel plate (for obliques), hanging straps (for lower abs) to name a few, lol.

Just what kind of drugs are you on to come up with a statement like: "the average 75 yrs old has 5lbs of undigested red meat in their intestines"? Hmmmmm?? I do hope anyone who takes time to read this thread does not SERIOUSLY TAKE THAT AS FACT!!!
Oh, BTW......just what Med book did you get THAT from?
PS.....If you are going to post something as 'fact', at least have the common courtesy to have a SOURCE to back up such a claim
.......it MIGHT add some VALIDITY

Well Joy,
I will gladly compare myself with men in their 50's, lol.
Seriously though, I am sure IF we knew each other in 10 years.........I am sure you would STILL look AMAZING!!

DECEIVING PROFILE STORIES ???----Rant here
Posted: 9/29/2005 1:49:16 PM
Well I guess I am fairly fortunate then! I have only had TWO bad dates and I UNfortunately have been doing this for a couple of years now, lol. The "worst" was a lady who drove down from Tulsa when I was living in Dallas at the time.
PS......I have to TOTALLY believe Ms. "Joy" being that some of us have read her 'fan mail' after she posted SOME of what she receives

What do you think?

Oh, what the **** Ms. "36c".........might as well be critiqued by the opposite sex too! Had a good 'bud' (OTB or Mr. "Bus") review it awhile back for some kicks and I thought he was fairly accurate. So go ahead and give it a 'stab', lol. My question is: "How do you keep up"?
Sign me,
CURIOUS
PS......KUDOS to the ones I have read so far!!
PSS.....NO, that was NOT a 'suck-up'

I have a question for the supporters of President George Bush’s “War on terror”.

@ grog27:
You are hilarious! Here folks we have ANOTHER conspiracy theorist.
I hope you can please explain to me about the FIRST election that you refer to. WHY is it that AT LEAST SEVENTEEN different news sources that did a investigation into the said election ALL came up with the same result? IF even ONE of them had found a different vote total.......would you not think we would have heard about it.......FOREVER!!

@ Im listening:
IF you have any kind of intelligence, you know good & well that is a mis-representation. Unless you are so badly ill-informed or just jaded in your thinking, I would venture to say that you are just an instigator. With that kind of falsehood being your premise for discussion, then your question is mute. That is because that is NOT what the President is "trying" to do!
I hope next time you choose to post, please at least make your quote ACCURATE as to make a valid discussion.

"These reviews would be more entertaining to the reader if there was less lying (some of the flattery...please!) and more brutal honesty. Just saying."
Okay Skylar......I KNOW you can be 'brutally honest'
......so scrap the "flattery" and tell me what you REALLY think. (shudders and runs for cover, lol)
Did I hear someone yell: "INCOMING"
PS.....Remember, this is SUPPOSED to be SOMEWHAT ENTERTAINING

I LIVE in the THIRD most popular vacation destination and I am STILL exploring it! (since I just moved here, lol) Would ENJOY someone to come explore it with me! Although I have made SEVERAL trips back to Dallas to visit friends there.

"The advice I can give you is follow your heart. It knows whats best for you MOST of the time!"
Sorry zgirl.......I will have to disagree with that! The old addage that: "Love is blind" is so true when it comes to matter of the heart!! It is MUCH WISER to use your head than to follow your heart. It saves a lot of heartache in the end.

Key Ingredients.....what might be overlooked?
Posted: 7/23/2005 9:06:53 PM
I had the good fortune of seeing Russian comedian Yakoff Smirnoff's show tonight. During his show I was enlightened as to an ingredient that successful relationships must/should contain. I have compiled a list over the years of said 'key ingredients' to include: HONESTY, TRUST, COMMUNICATION, RESPECT, UNDERSTANDING/COMPASSION, LOVE and added tonight....LAUGHTER!
This is my first post and I would like to know what the other 'fish' could add to my list. (and possibly WHY you think so?) It will be interesting, but it WILL BE APPRECIATED as to your valued input!

Frivolous lawsuits
Posted: 7/22/2005 3:18:35 PM
Gotta luv Skylar! Looks AND Brains too!!
OT: give me a break about a jury of our "peers".
Almost ALL are made up of ill-informed people. MOST of higher education are USUALLY excluded. (how many Doctors do you know that serve?) It is a process attorney's use to 'stack the deck' in their favor in order to PERSUADE those most likely TO BE persuaded. Care to debate that one??
The most ludicrous ARE the tobacco lawsuits. (in my humble opinion, lol) HOW in the world to people get 'awarded' judgements against these companies. It DEFIES LOGIC to think someone will be given a large sum of money for VOLUNTARILY introducing a harmful and foreign substance into their bodies
Think about it.......does ANYONE know of someone that took that first 'drag' on a cigarette and did so effortlessly? HELL NO! The first time ANYONE smokes their FIRST ciagarette the BURNING
sensation and the AUTOMATIC COUGHING is usually extreme! ONE MUST FORCE THEMSELVES to take up this nasty habit....and to think a 'jury of our peers' are actually awarding these people. Where does COMMON SENSE prevail?

Guys and Cats
Posted: 7/18/2005 4:52:02 PM
I have owned a cat (different ones) ALL my life. I have enjoyed the companionship of several dogs as well, but I prefer to have a YARD for that. Being that I have spent some time in rental housing (apts., condos, ect.), I have not always had a dog my entire adult life like I did when I was a child. I like them BOTH, but have had more cats than dogs because of not always having a yard. It is just that cats know HOW to use a litter box, dogs don't!
