Indeed, something in the younger range would be awesome, but that means someone of our age needs to shout it out from the roof tops about the event.

paintball game or lazertag
Posted:

I recommend going for the Laser tag since everyone is on the same playing field of machinery. When it comes to Paintballers they generally end up with guns that fire around twice what the stock ones you rent. It's like they need some sort of advantage over the whole experience factor. Makes you think they just like picking on people, which from the sounds of some of the posts in here, seems to be the case.

Are all men potential rapists?
Posted:

Well anything but anything but Classc
There was no bashing, libel, or insults, nor disgusting sex based comments. Perhaps you should understand the rules better before trying to thrust them in the face of others. There was no "attack" as you claim so don't try and play some sort of victim when I pointed out the giant holes in your rebuttal. Oddly enough you try and play the sex card yourself which would be against the rules you tried to bring up. Quite silly if you ask me.
As the point I made stands, those who wished to castrate individuals for the act can easily be likened to those who want to cut off the arms of those that steal, which is far too barbaric. I wish you the time to reflect upon your thoughts so that you can hopefully find the folly of your comments so that you can grown and learn so you do not try and play the victim when it is unneeded. I find it a sad point that you would try and play it up on that angle when no such thing happened.
Though if you wish to suggest that the male perspective is that we shouldn't cut the arms of people who steal, or the legs off of those who run away, it speaks volumes to what you think the female perspective is, which is atrocious, and obviously not what most reasonable women would think.

Puhleeze what a silly response from someone who doesn't understand the whole message, yet tries to mock. It's silly to even consider the idea of castration because it would lead to quite the slippery slope. One block builds on the other to the point where cutting off hands seems right and proper, and if you want that you might as well move to the middle east.
With such a shallow mind, I'm surprised you don't suggest we train all women to be omega level sluts so they want the sexual activity, and so the adage of "You can't rape the willing." applies.

"Castration is the logical consequence to the inability of some males to learn how to put their pecker in only appropriate places."
Well this is just silly. Next you'll be telling us that we should cut the arms off of people who steal so they can't steal anymore. Or cut off the legs of people who run from the police.

When do you put down an interest as an interest?
Posted:
8/7/2009 12:24:45 AM
Just curious, on your profile when do you consider an interest and interest? I have noticed that a lot of girls 4X4, dirt bike, and UFC as their interests, but when you talk to them they either haven't done it, or have done/watched it once when they were young. That doesn't really seem like they are interested in it. Now i am not narcing on that, I am just curious on when do you put your interests down as interests, is it stuff you actually do? I mean sky diving is an interest that I haven't done yet, but I have researched it quite a bit.

First date etiquette: Should men pay?
Posted:
8/4/2009 8:57:18 AM
Well if people want to keep traditions, it shouldn't just be the ones that benefit them.
Some older traditions involved buying the girl for something like a goat.
Another tradition involved fathers giving dowries, where land and money was given for taking their daughter off of their hands.
How about when women were considered property and pretty much slaves?
So if people want to keep things traditional you might not like the traditions that come up. Then you also can't get mad when you tell me to act like a man, and I tell you to act like a woman and clean the stables. Telling people to keep the traditional roles really won't move society forward, and do you want to be stuck in a time where there was no place for women in a medical school?

I believe studies have shown that even just talking to someone on the phone, hands free or not, causes the problem too. So having some hands free device won't really matter. Hell I think it was even on Mythbusters. So when you're driving... No phoning.

I am pretty sure that they don't want children... For dinner.
Sure it is a delicacy, and super tender. Indeed they taste better with a lot of love. But -- I guess -- some people don't want to eat them for dinner.
Breakfast is okay though. Good with eggs.

How don't we influence evolution? Probably the best example of it involves antibiotics. Many people would die without them, and so by creating them, instead of humanity slowly gaining immunity to the "bad ones" we help them evolve at an astounding rate.

Equal rights don’t exactly exist in a lot of the other species on the planet. If we take a look at the spider kingdom, a great deal of male spiders are consumed by the female after mating. If we are looking to level the field across all field of life, maybe some women should take one for the team here so that the spider queens can live in luxury, or solve that problem first.
Oddly enough a lot of girls also have problems with spiders in bathrooms... Makes you wonder why.

Sometimes you just have to be mean to them to get a response. I recall one relationship my friend started. He sent her a friendly hello, and she deleted it. He followed it up with, "Hey ****." and insulted her a bit in the letter. Well oddly enough she responded to that. Then they got to talking, and it turned into a relationship. So it seems you can get more flies with salt than honey.

What do you find hot in photos?
Posted:

After browsing quite a few photos there are obvious ones that peek my interest, which I find to be fairly hot. Sometimes it's something along the lines of a girl with a sword, a girl rock climbing, or a girl water skiing. Then there are other pictures that I don't really care about, like a group of people at a pub or something, or them with an ex. I am curious though what do others find that plucks at the harp cords of your heart, and what makes you move on?

Same way when it comes to school right now. There are no girls in the engineering program, so talking to them comes as a second. Since I started taking up yoga though, I have found that there are girls out there that I can and should talk to them. Just have to start off with saying something to them first, that isn't cheesy.

Budgeting and saving money tips

Turn off your cable TV, and download all of your music, movies, and television shows. That way you get to choose what you want to watch, and when!
Fake a moon landing in your basement, and tape it. Sell that sucker online and make gillions.
Steal cars for trips in between places. Don't wreck them or anything, but this way you don't have to pay for insurance or gas.
Instead of giving money to pan handlers, give them empty gift cards. That way you still feel like you're giving something. Also you could give the excuse, "Can I get a receipt for this so I can use it as a tax reduction?"
Host potlucks in your home, and confiscate all the pots, which include the food. Just sound the fire alarm to get everyone outside, and then lock the door, saying the aliens are trying to get you.

Kelowna Single Mom & Baby Murdered...
Posted:

For you it might remind you of empathy. Can other people learn other things? Hopefully otherwise you are not digging deep enough. You only want to blame the person that hurt them? Alright, good for you. That is certainly well thought out, because that will solve everything. Just blame people for doing things, so that we can stop them in the future right? We can absolutely control other people so that they don't do these things in the first place right?
But if you want to learn from their mistakes, well that's taking it to the next level and is a starting place for being proactive. Obviously if you put yourself near certain people, label them bad boys or what not, this is what can happen. It's like having a snake in a crib. There are signs you can pick up on if you are astute enough to pick up on them, so that snake doesn't come close. If they sound like your gift from God or whatnot, well if something seems to good to be true... Well guess how to finish this.
If you want to think there is a personal agenda to saying she shouldn't have been with a bad boy. Some people might think those bad boys are just message board trolls, thinking they are all tough. I personally don't even think about them being bad boys, no matter how hard and often they try to do that. Some people might think those bad boys are worse than that, and my hat is off to them.
But if you are just looking for only empathy in the thread, that would make it fall under self pity. Self pity threads can be full of, "I'm sorry this happened to you." If you want this to be warning thread, well then we can take it to the proactive level. One that doesn't suggest that out government sucks, that there needs to be more laws in place, and more programs, that women are always victims and need help. Doing all that on this forum isn’t going to change anything. Saying, alright this is where this person went wrong, hopefully you can then take something out of it to make sure it doesn’t happen to you. That's about all that can happen in a thread. If you want to prove me wrong, well message me when you get some laws passed.

Kelowna Single Mom & Baby Murdered...
Posted:

I don't want to be a downer on the thread, because I already said that people learn from this lesson. But with a little rebuttal...
Young single mothers made the choice to be mothers, or to keep being mothers. It's sort of like rewarding someone for flipping burgers. It's easy to get the job, and while it can suck depending on the company, you might be rewarded down the line for all of your hard work. You'll probably get burned along the way, once or twice, but you chose to work at Burger King instead of McDonalds.
The guy was a murder... And she decided to go see him. She decided to let their paths in lives to wind down that dark corridor. Do we really need to put funding out there to tell people that it may not be such a good idea to shack up with a murder? There were probably a few signs that should have tipped her off, like I don’t know... That bad boy charm? It sounds like she knew him for a while, so maybe it is about learning to make a proper first impression and judging if this is a person I want to know beyond tonight.
And if you are worried about the whole women getting taken advantage of and beaten, I guess they should take some special defences classes. You should always learn to be able to protect yourself, and for that hopefully you can help move this credit website for adult fitness along, which might help cover something along those lines at... adultfitnesstaxcredit.ca
With that in place we don’t have to just specifically help mothers, but rather everyone. So that everyone can either get in shape, or take whatever classes they want. Doesn’t that sound a bit less... Jaded? Might as well make it a bit more equal opportunity.
But why do ask questions like how many bad choices have I died over? That is just silly. I learned to avoid going after certain types of people as friends or relationships from hearing about stories like these. It’s not the first time someone killed someone else, but if you learn that you should avoid some people, you probably won’t end up in the same situation. So hopefully people can learn from this tragic... Example. There is always going to be murders out there, so you might as well learn to try and not include them in your bedroom.

Yes... What happened sucked. It is an unfortunate situation at the end of a lot of bad choices. Let us allow this to be a reminder, so that we can learn from it.

People who don't shovel
Posted:
12/17/2008 2:41:18 AM
I am only a renter of part of the house, so it’s not really my issue when it comes to shovelling the sidewalk. Problem is though that the snow ploughs are the ones putting the snow on the sidewalk, all compacted, which makes it difficult to walk on, let alone shovel up. It was cleared, and then the snow plough came by and pushed the snow back on... So it's a battle that cannot be won.
Plus it makes for a hell of a time pulling out of the driveway.

Virtual Loser Points

I wonder when a mod or something will pipe in on the subject, but I think -- sadly -- our points are gone for good. They also lowered the points we get a day to 30 too.
It sucks because I was saving them up to blitz a girl on her birthday.

I`ll probably stop by. It means I can`t go to the comedy club though :(. Heh, I`ll just have to figure out where that is. I am still a bit of a Kelowna Newbie. I guess Google Maps will be my friend.

Virtual Gift Points
[CLOSED Thread]

For quite a while I had saved up virtual gift points, to the point where I had about 20,000 I believe. Now I go into my gift point section and see that all but 2000 are gone. What happened here?
