Since the announcement, Palin has brought nothing but unwanted baggage to the ticket. She’s under investigation for corruption, has a mere year and a half’s worth of experience as Governor, and issues with her family, such as the pregnancy of her unwed 17-year-old daughter, have snowballed into front page news. Buried beneath the avalanche of Palin is John McCain, the man who is supposed to be the focal point. There are those that believe, rather foolishly, that disenfranchised Clinton supporters will back Palin, but even Clinton herself has rejected comparisons made by Palin. Clinton and Obama may have their differences, but they are differences that are in no way as severe as those between Clinton and Palin, whose ideologies, no matter their gender, are vastly different. At this point, the McCain campaign is in serious peril. There has even been talk of replacing Palin, though at this late hour that would most likely cause even more damage to the campaign’s credibility, which is already at a low point.

So what does The Rebel Flag stand for? Does it exist as nothing more than a modern showpiece of Americana, or do those that unabashedly and naively promote its image sincerely believe in what the Confederate States of America stood for? In short, is The Rebel Flag a symbol that still promotes the sentiments of the Southern Confederacy? And if so, then is included in that promotion the belief that African Americans are members of a sub-human species? To me, The Rebel Flag is a symbol that reflects an ideology, no different than the Swastika. However, it is not for me to say that The Rebel Flag is something that should be stricken from memory or use. Free societies are based on the rights of citizens to express their beliefs, no matter theirr ignorance or naivety. That said, I do believe that those that continue to promote it, in whatever fashion, should never forget the ideology that it ultimately represented.

Read the "Left Behind" series of books, based upon the Book of Revelation. Think about Obama's primary purpose, which he continues to claim is to bring peace and heal division. Obama is the peace bringer, at least according to this most recent speech. Keep that in mind while you're reading. There are initially twelve books in the series, I believe. You'll find that to be quite enlightening and the men who wrote it are biblical scholars, unlike myself. Umm, did you forget that you were in the fiction section at your local chapters when you picked up these books? Oh and Left Behind is fictional too. Zing.

Lets cut the sh**! Spending any more money on your military is outrageous. The war on terror is really not just a war on Iraqi's Afghani's or muslims, it is truly a war on us all. The billions and BILLIONS being spent on this war, is money that will never be spent on education, healthcare on the reconstruction of your crumbling infastructure or to train and place the millions of workers who have lost their manufacturing jobs. The war on terror is really a war on the majority of Americains who keep getting less and less, while the defense industry is literaly making a killing. Can America really afford any more wars? The struggle against this kind of spending is really just a struggle for a better life in YOUR country. To fight against this war is really to fight for your own intrest and not the false intrest of the big corperate defense industry, the left AND right media and the white house.

If I get taxed $1000 on a carbon tax and then get it back through income tax, why would I as a consumer change my buying habits at all? I am not put in any better or worse off position. For this carbon tax to have the impact on consumer demand, Dion must be lying and we will all take a tax hit. The rich and most corperations will be taking a hit, with most of the taxes going back to people on the lower income of the spectrum. What the main purpose of this tax is to get people and the industry to make changes to their lifestyles and production. The less carbon you use, the more money you will save.
