Advice is advice... The most important thing to remember, is that we are ALL human and are hurt by the rudeness that people exhibit toward us... no ifs ands OR buts...

If a guy doesn't email back what is the cut off period-a week? couple days?

Personally, I think it is very rude!! Why waste someones time?? Is it that you are waiting for someone prettier to come along? I don't get it.... Even if that interest changes, at least have the courtesy to respond as such....
I love when weeks go by and then they tell you they've been soooo busy, yet you see that they are on several times a day , just haven't had time to " get back" to you!!!
Yes, as a rule of thumb... replies should be within a reasonable amount of time .... NOT weeks later! duh!!

Those who walk away.

well... its not clear as to how long the folks that you are referring to have been single.
But in my opinion... The men in my age group (i will be 45 in October) that have been married , don't really want the relationship! They want someone to sleep with as they can do that without emotional ties.... My question to them is.... what happens when you ARE older, find yourself alone, because you were waiting for the perfect woman to come into your life, ONLY to find that you are alone in your old age! At this time of my life, I am in my "peak" years... and I feel as though I am wasting them looking for the love of my life !!
My thinking is that these men are trying to get as much use out of their penises BEFORE ED
sets in... then they want someone to become the nursemate and want to be taken care of!!

I've had a few of those.... perhaps its a way of showing interest, to see if the recipient writes back.... It would be nice if this site had some sort of "wink" one could send to show interest!

How about when someone says, "so tell me a bit more about yourself " and then reads and deletes your reply?.... Rudeness is one of my pet peeves, and goddamm*t I get plenty of ammunition here! I also respond when I receive an e-mail, whether it's thanks or no thanks....If someone were to speak to me in person, would I just walk away and not acknowledge the fact that someone spoke to me?? This is what the world has come to basically ... Someday, we'll all wake up and be old and alone, cause some of us thought that that someone prettier/thinner would come along and sweep us off our feet!
Their loss....

Toilet Seat up

well... I used to crazy glue the cap from a 2-liter pop bottle to the inside of the toilet seat LID, Toward the front edge , Hence the seat lifter HAS to hold the seat up and then was forced to lower it after use! After hearing my husband cuss me out several times, from the lid smacking him on his peter... I knew at that moment that, not only does it work, but that they learn rather quickly!

age and intimacy

Well, I certainly have gained a lot of information from you all!
While, we had this discussion on the probable cause... there does seem to be several factors involved that may pertain to his situation... We are no longer involved in a sexual relationship, however we are GREAT friends and are involved as such,,, He knows that whatever the problem, He can always talk about it with me, honestly, and openly...
on other occasions, gentlemen that I had been involved with up to the point of an intimate relationship...would throw in the towel and end the relationship when it would become apparent that there was a problem...usually saying things such as, "I guess I'm not ready for a relationship at this point". Soooooooooo then I go on believing that its the lack of attraction or perhaps I did or said something to have this happen...Let me tell you, that is ALWAYS in the back of my mind, as I find myself so insecure and afraid to be in a sexual relationship with anyone....
Thank you all, for your honesty and openess...You've all been a big help!

to respond to your statement....you are assuming that these have been "casual" relationships, in which they have NOT... I don't treat people as circus animals and expect anyone to "perform"...it is only after a stable relationship has been established can one determine whether there is mutual attraction, and trust. I was married for 15 years to the same man , the ONLY man I'd ever been with until my divorce 7 yrs ago...
I'm trying to learn is all!

As a female in her 40's...I'm curious as to how many men are in need of medication to achieve an erection... It seems as if EVERY man I have ever dated suffered from some degree of E D.... OR is it me???? DO you guys eventually lose the desire for intimacy???

No... you're not being insensitive... You are being realistic in the way that you need your independence! I was in the same type of relationship for a while, and learned to be repulsed by his presence ... He was clingy, and insecure...thought I was screwing everyone I knew, inevitably I learned that he'd "bugged" my bedroom , put a GPS on my vehicle, and yes...would CRY because I wasn't paying enough attention to him...He was in competition with my kids for my attention!!! GOD yes...Run away quickly!!!!

Let me tell you....Bad idea !!! I dated a guy from this site for a couple of years, and he had himself a house key made. ( In case of an emergency of course), well... seems that while I was at work, he'd let himself in to do " work on my computer" ... He was snooping around and installed a " zip program" and would back up my computer and read everything that I had sent as well as received thru my e-mail. After breaking off the relationship with "creepy" , he continued to send text messages threatening to tell everyone I was a lesbian ... After this guy I thought about it ! LOL . THERE is NEVER a reason for someone to be at your home while you are not there! BOTTOM line !
