it's usually not the color of the skin that makes a difference...it's cultural differences. i have often said - race is not a color...it is a state of mind. i offer jennifer lopez as an example. she first became known as the hispanic girl who played Selena...then she got a nose job and lightened her hair and was mistaken for white...then she dated p. diddy and became so accepted as a black women that she was allowed to record a song using the "N" word"...now she's with marc and hispanic again. it's all a state of mind and i will be happy to see the day when dr. king's words come to pass and a man will not be judged by the color of his/her skin but by the content of their character.

i know this wasn't one of the choices, but i truly enjoyed the time i spent in ixtapa, mexico. my main photo was taken aboard ship as we were pulling into it's port. i truly enjoyed this spot for many reasons...it was november and the water was warmer than the sand. the only children i encountered were the locals selling goods and they were very well mannered. the fishing is good. locals actually fish right there on the beach and then throw their catch right on the waiting bbg and cook it up. you get groups of tourist in short burst from the few cruise ships that are allowed to dock and the party is on- then they leave and you get periods of calm and quiet. there are small hotels right on the beach, a private resort further up in it's own cove and lots of bed and breakfasts within a block of the water. i didn't want to leave.

age is just a number. it is the number of years one has had on this earth to experience life. don't get me wrong... i have met some mature 20 year olds and some inmature 50 year olds but except in the area of sex - you cannot compare a 20 year old to a 40, etc year old.

thank you for this post. i was beginning to think i might be the only one who felt that way. unfortunately i am contacted by these individuals and most of them actually comment on the fact that my profile seems "upbeat" and energetic. i have tried to share with a few of them that the profile is not only the first impression a person gets of them... but that it is also all a potential mate has to go by as far as knowing who they are. needless to say i have been cursed out several times by these already angry people who do not wish any negative comments about themselves. people tend to put their best foot forward in the beginning - right? i have decided that if the angry profile is their best foot...i don't want to know anything else about them. also - if this post has been done before, as a new member, i appreciate you bringing the subject up again

seperated people are legally still married, period. i also prefer that if they are divorced they have been so for at least 6 months so that any bitterness has a chance to fade away. to me there is no gray area either you are married or you are not.

i'm sure i will be opening myself up for attack by a lot of women - but i can't keep silent. ms. nona37, i looked at your profile and noticed that under type of relationship sought, you have "dating". perhaps you should change it to long term and only accept dates from those looking for long term. it has been my experience that people who list dating as the type of relationship they are looking for are just on here to date... also, i wonder how much time you spend getting to know these guys before you are going on "dates" with them cause usually a jerk or jerkess can't hide there true colors...
