Dating shift workers
Posted: 3/1/2009 10:43:45 PM | I'm gonna resurrect this topic for my sake, even though it hasn't been touched in years. I've worked shift work for 24 consecutive years. I'll be the first to admit that it definitely puts a major damper on ones social life. It also places a marked strain on relationships.
However, as someone else here commented, I do have lots of vacation time to take off during the year which sorta makes up for the week-to-week socialization deficiencies.
In my case I simply put aside enough resources to go to my favourite vacation destination yearly.
But nonetheless, it sure would be nice to meet someone who understands the plight of a shift worker. | | | |
