I admire women that loves sports. especially a Vol fan! Surprised your not a Gator fan lol. Anyways, if a woman likes sports, means that when we wanna go on a date, that a sporting event would be an approriate date. I could so fall in love with a sports enthusiast. If you wanna talk about the Vols 07 season, drop me a line, always willing to talk sports with someone!

Man what a game between Switzerland and Ukraine. I always love games that end in PK's. Switzerland players and fans do not need to hang their heads in defeat. The game was awsome and very physical...my type of soccer game. I hope this is a sign of things to come for the rest of the World Cup.

At this time, in the 53rd minute it's 2-0 Germany. Sweeden had a chance to get at least one goal off a PK, but Henry Larson over shot the goal.
I'm rootin for Germany and Argentina today. We'll see how this wonderful day of soccer plays out to be!

best FOOTBALL rivalries
Posted:
6/21/2006 3:52:24 PM
hmmm...best football rivalries in my opinion would be:
NFL
Pats and everyone else...lol
Titans and Texans
Titans and Ravens
Titans and Jags
Cowboys and Redskins
Redskins and 49ers
NCAA
FSU-Miami
Gators and Vols (Florida and TN)
TN and Vandy
TN and Bama
Now I can go on the record and say that probably the best Highschool Football rivalry in Tennessee would be the Coffee Co./Tullahoma rivalry...same county, been goin at each other strong since the 1920's. Games are brutal and very close at the end.

Why Doesn't America 'Give up' on Soccer?
Posted:
6/21/2006 3:43:59 PM
ant1ers, i've gotta disagree with ya on the part of the injuries. I grew up playing soccer, suffered many injuries, once removed from the game, I went right back in within a few plays. Simply put, if you love the game as much as I do, then you don't wanna sit out the entire game because of an injury. Sure, you risk making the injury alot worse, but that's gotta be the risk you've gotta take. And to those people that think soccer isn't a sport, give it a try. I've witnessed so many guys taken off the field by stretcher from sersious injuries, such as, broken legs, ribs, torn acl's or other ligiments, I myself have witnessed my own friend/teammate get carted off from a concussion he received from the opposing teams player going up to head the ball at the same time. He missed the ball which caused him to headbutt my friend at the same time, at full force. I absolutley wish my college had a mens soccer team, cuz I'd be out there in a heart beat, as a matter of fact we don't have athletics at all.
I do love the NFL, MLB, MLS, and the World Cup. Gimmie any of those on TV and I'm watching it. Of course I'd rather play them then watch...lol

I enjoy both football and soccer, but would rather play soccer any day. As far as the NFL goes, I'll stick with my Titans. I believe we'll have a better season without Steve McNair behind center...but hey that's just my opinion. I don't have a favorite soccer team, I just try to watch all the games that I can.

Nothing against you red5, but we're talking about American Football on here, although I agree that soccer is a tough sport, I've been playing soccer since I was 5, I'm 24 now, and I love every bit of it.
On topic....I still say SEC is the best, I'm never gonna change my mind on that....

Upcoming College football season.
Posted:
6/19/2006 4:02:35 PM
I'm looking forward to the upcoming 2006 college football season. Nothing thrills me more than watchin my TN Vols run through the big T. I believe that TN's schedule this year is a pretty tough one. Home against Florida, Alabama, LSU, and Kentucky. Away against Georgia, South Carolina, Arkansas, and Vanderbilt. I'm not to concerned about their games against Air Force, California, Marshall, and Memphis. With Spurrier still at the head coach position in South Carolina, they could be a good team to watch for. Many things to look forward to during the SEC season this year, whether your a Vols fan or a Razorbacks fan, I see a very exciting season this year.

I'd either go with Labonte, Waltrip, or Marlin. That's a tough one though. One of those three that I just listed though, simply put have more expierence under there belt. But then again, who knows, some unknown rookie could really make a statement this month at Daytona. Good luck in your pool!

STEALERS !
Posted:
2/8/2006 10:45:03 AM
Ok I gotta say something....first off, I'm not a fan of either team. Never have, Never will be. You could say that I'm neutral on this subject. Let's leave it at this...Steelers can soak in thier "win" cuz next year I'm not seein a repeat. Seahawk fans, don't let just this one game get your panties in a wad. Sure, I watched the game, and was dissapointed in some of the refs decisions. I mean how do you get a low blocking penalty when Hasselbeck *sp* wasn't even blocking the guy that they said he blocked. In all actuallity, he made a tackle. I was pretty impressed at Parker's run, as well as that little trick play that had Hines Ward throwin for a TD. People are pointing out that Parker broke the Superbowl record for the longest yard, which is true, but they failed to mention that the saftey from the Seahawks, his name has left me at the moment, broke the record for having the longest interception return in Superbowl history. Anyways, just my two cents on this matter.
By the way...Go Titans...even though they had a very $hitty season.

Can't root for the Colts in the Super Bowl...they got upset....:-( So I'm gonna say Seahawks and Jags.
Congrats Greg on your new found love for this awsome sport. Football like most sports is a never look away sport. You never know what'll happen. For instance, the Colts were undefeated coming into the playoffs, and everyone including myself thought they'd go all the way and be undefeated the entire season, but got upset. So who know's what'll happen.

NFL Draft 2006
Posted:
1/11/2006 4:44:43 PM
I think that this years draft class is phenomenal. With people like Bush, Leinart, Young, Cutler and many many more great athletes, I see this being the best year.
I think it's gonna be like this:
Texans grab Bush
The second pick will be Leinart
Titans grab Young...here's why.
Vince and Steve McNair became really good friends back when Vince attended a QB camp put on by McNair. That's big news for Titan fans. Also check it out...Vince and Steve's QB style are almost identical. Run N Gun, and tough. That's the story goin on around here in Titan land. And I'm a firm believer that he'll get picked by the Titans. If however the Titans don't get Vince Young, than more than likely they'll wind up getting Jay Cutler, which is nothing wrong with that either. As I always say...time will only tell.

Best of luck to the Bucs next season. Anyone know who has the upper hand this year in the playoffs? Please don't say the Patriots....I don't like them either!

After what I saw last night, I honestly don't think anyone should complain. TX played on heck of a game. USC had a chance to win the game, but Texas prevailed in the end. Next year I think Texas will be back and Vince Young will win the heisman...just a slight prediction...
Congrats to both teams for an outstanding game and outstanding season.

You know everyone..we can say anything we want to...but apparently Citizen is more focused on the Yankees then someone like the White Sox or the Red Sox who have overcome great odds to win the WS. I remember when the Twins made it to the Playoffs, and when the Marlins made it to the Series and won...hmmm...do I see a trend??? If you think about it, he's really never mentioned anything other than the Yankees. He didn't mention how the Braves have won 14 straight pennants. Name another team that has done that. If baseball is so "fixed" then why haven't the Yankees been more dominent? Sure the Yankees have very good players, but a team that is "stacked" like the Yanks, can loose any time any where, just like any other team in the Majors.

I honestly don't care who goes to the Super Bowl this year, as long as it ain't New England, unless whomever makes it plays the Pats and beats them. It would be nice to see the Bears go to it this year, but I'm with everone else, don't see it happening this year. They continue to play this well, then maybe they'll be there next year. Of course, I hope my Titans make it next year...:-)

Hey bro...baseball sucks that bad dude, then screw it. Us real baseball fans don't need someone criticize it everytime because of acquisitions a certain team makes. Every team in the MLB has a chance to make the playoffs. It just depends on how the team playes throughout the season, and how healthy a team stays. So what if the Yankees grabbed Damon...whoopdee doo. Good grab by George S. if you ask me. I for one will never stop watchin the game that I grew up on and have grown to love.

It is sad to see Furcal go, but you can't rely on one person to be your team. Brave's have replacements, and have the green to get the next SS. Of course no one can replace Furcal, but there is someone out there somewhere as good if not better than Furcal. I wish him the best of luck in the future.

As far as political standards go, which I honestly stay away from. My entire family is Democratic until election time for pres. then we choose whatever. I don't own any guns, unless you call a bb gun and a paintball gun...real guns...lol I do however plan on gettin either a glock 9mm or a glock .45 calibur. If not them, then a Smith & Wessen 9 or .45. If I had the money, I'd screw the those and go straight for the Desert Eagle...lol I plan on being a cop in a couple of years when I finish school, and would prefer my own handgun to one that the dept. has already used.

But unless LSU steps up and not let GA bully them around like they did for GA's 14pts then LSU will be going home without a championship. The Dodgers have also showed interest in him. Hope he makes the right choice and stays with the Braves. Also Braves are possibly thinking about pickin up Juan Pierre...what a boost to the outfield that'll be.

And the dude that mentioned TO besides me is right...I remember some of the issues Irvin had so Dallas should be used to that. I just don't see Dallas getting him for the rest of the season. He's still under contract with the Eagles and gettin paid to sit on his ass. Perfect job for anyone if you ask me...lol

I'm a huge Braves fan and a loyal one at that. I'm really shocked to see Furcal get traded...especially to the Cubs. That'll make at least two former Braves players on the Cubs team that I can think of...Grag Maddox...hell of a pitcher for the Braves, and now Furcal..probably one of the best SS I've seen play. But, as many have already said..the Braves have a really good farm system...probably one of the best IMO. I could sit here and name off the entire list of rookie's that came into play last season but that would take me all night....let's just say one word that can describe their ability....AMAZING! Can't wait for season to kick off again...I'm having baseball relapse...lol

At that time I had plans to go into the military so I wanted to be in shape before I left. Well things happend in my life to prevent me from doing that. Now I'm going to college to earn my Associates Degree in Criminal Justice. I'm continuing my running habits in hopes that I'll be better off in the Police Academy than some of the new trainees are.

nah man, ya'll all wrong...lol let him come back home...he graduated from university of tennessee chattanooga...let him play for the Titans...that's if he can handle the fact that Drew Bennett, Brandon Jones, and the rest of the WR's are quality players, and will not give up their starting spot that easily. But I could be wrong. Wherever TO goes, he'll be productive and that team will have more spotlight than the others. God forbid though that he goes to the Texans...lol
