I'm sorry to read about your heartache. Time is the only real thing that heals. Lean on your friends and family. Concentrate on getting through the day, tomorrow will start anew. Get out of the house. Find some hobbies. Keep physically active. Chat with new people. Travel. Words of advice from someone that also knows. It DOES get better and there a lot of great people out there waiting to meet you. You just don't realize it yet. Hang in there! :) Hugs! Alicia

Because there is no safety net especially in the case of women. Some people are not who they present themselves to be (both physically and mentally) when chatting with someone else online. Some people might present themselves as "normal" saying on a first date they would like to go to a movie, a nice dinner, a walk in the park, etc. when all they really want to do is grope you as soon as they meet you. They shouldn't say they want to form a long term relationship or to date if they just want to "hang out" (aka hump). Women also have to be careful because of obvious reasons. I have personally found a person on this site that has the same photo on a Singles_ _ _.com site but has different information listed such as different hair color, height and location (Tucker, GA and New York, NY). Neither of the people would verify anything with me such as giving me personal email addresses, phone numbers or more photos. They sure as hell wanted to meet me though. I also believe that people could be anxious about meeting the person they have been in contact with because they want to be physically attracted to the person and to have chemistry as they do online or on the phone. They in turn hope the other person is also attracted to them as well.
