Turn in the employers will benifit more than reporting illegals. They are coming here for a reason,basically to work for next to nothing and happy to do so. As long as employers are breaking the law they will continue to come. I periodically transport produce out of South,Tx. and have worked with illegals, some of the best people I have ever known. A wall is currently being constructed along the Tx./Mx. border. Personally I don't like this idea and do not see it accomplishing much,just an inconvience for someone trying to get entrance. They will pole vault across if needed.Is it wrong? No,but IMO reporting employers will get better results. I do agree we need to protect our borders as does every other nation but we need to deal with employers who care only about cheap labor therefore getting to the root of the problem.

It's a public forum so anyone can post their opinions. I think it comes down to common sense and being fair. Forget the bitter feelings and make the transition as painless as possible Everyone benifits and kids know when their is tension between parents so always try to avoid this. Remember , to all the men bashers who take pleasure in their ex sufferings,you also have sons that will be married some day and have children.What goes around comes around.

Listen: To anyone who thinks that supporting a child needs to have strings attached to that support...well...is just crazy... 1) The person who's in physical custody of the child/ren has many more financial burdens placed on them...As well as, the time and physical burdens of raising the child/ren 2) If you think that you can control the custodial parents discression in spending of the support...well that's what the court system is for..knock yourself out. Crazy?Knowing the CHILD SUPPORT is going to the childs well being is crazy? OK 1)She may have the responsibility but I wouldn't say its a burden. In my case she has lived most of the last 13 years on what I pay alone so doesn't apply here.Time,yes I would agree she has that. 2)I agree here and have done that. Their are many ways to accomplish this. Be creative. Done

Really I've not seen one of ya'll speak to the good of the child....bashing the ex...but nothing about the good of the child....and if you're actually in divorce or seperated...and you are this worked up with your ex in 3-D...I can only imagine that you behave the same way around your children....shame on you....none of your arguements are about your children...they are all about controling the ex...~ 2irish1 ~ Imagining things and knowing the facts are not the same. I have been paying 13 years and have at least 3 more to go. The first year their were times when I had to decide which days I could afford to eat. Nothing special and lots of men have been through this. We do this out of love for our kids so that we know they are provided for and we can spend a weekend together. I have no problem paying when I know it is going to the childs wellbeing and will continue to help even when she becomes an adult. Thats even better,I know the money is going directly to her. Holding someone accountable for money handed over has nothing to do with control and everything to do with your childs wellbeing. How can anyone not see this? Saying it's control mentality makes me wonder if they are not relating this to themselves. Personally,I have never once bashed my ex in front of my kid. Why? Because she is the mother and would never do anything that would add confusion. Shame on you 2irish1 for making these assumptions to all the working men that care about their kids but at least we know what you think of us. To your credit,your doing an excellent job of sucking up. Not my style but hey if its working run with it.

This was a performance bonus. The performance was in the crapper. Without the taxpayer these charity cases would of been unemployed. The taxpayers alone saved the company and they still want to continue on the same track that got us here in the first place by awarding bonuses to the undeserved. These people can and should be replaced with people more deserving. The greedy and elitist is exactly what has and will bring this country down. For all the good and hard working people in America,we are not the ones cutting shady deals behind closed doors and screwing other countries but we are always the one they know will end up paying the price,whether its war or a struggling economy. These people need a wake up call.

The company I am contracted to allows me to pick my loads and my hometime. No questions asked, so I generally stay out a few days and take the same amount of days off. I think the pill popping days went out twenty years ago. Most companies give you suffuicient time to deliver loads therefore no need for speed. Random drug screening is mandatory so if you meet someone who seems jittery he is probably on redbull or some energy drink. Being in this business twenty years and seeing alot,I would say from my experience that guys hooking up with lot lizzards are a minority and like someone stated earlier,they should pay you to do them. Relationships with truckers are not for everyone but it can also be a great life for two people on the same page and seeing the big picture.

I recently recieved an e-mail with no photo but I read her entire profile and usally do not disqualify just because of no photo. Some people prefer to send photo's later,no problema. Her e-mail stated first that if I didn't mind smart,intelligent and witty women then maybe we could get to know each other. Then she wanted to know what type of business I own.Then wanted to know what I am doing tonight. Speaking for myself,when I send an e-mail I am polite and keep it short,then if she reads my profile and likes what she sees we go from there and I like the same. No need to tell me how bright you are or how attractive you might be. Shows lack of confidence and I prefer to keep it real and much more concerned with a womans heart. I like a short introduction with no BS.

Someone mentioned being freindly as attractive and sexy. I tottaly agree,a smile can make an average woman attractive. Thats a fact. American women are the least friendliest on the planet,especially caucasian women. Arabianangel brings up some valid points but some of you just want to be nasty and make ignorant statements instead of trying to learn. Suit yourself but alot of good men look right pass you and have no interest. I will use Mexico as one example, the women there can be very poor and might have only one nice change of clothes But they put most women to shame and then top off with a friendly personalitty and a smile, no competition. I've dated women from different countries and it is just just flat out better on so many levels.Femininity,any correlation? Yes,without a doubt.

Well said RosiaG; I have a lifelong friend that went thru a divorce last year. He was married at 19 and his ex was 34. He worked 30 days abroad and home 30. His wife would not even give up sex when he arrived home. Ended when she was served papers. He's now 48 and resides in Brazil with a 24 year old woman, that he adores. She fully understands he has to work away and are living a great life together. Just an overall different mentallity and she loves being a woman. It seems to me the only difference between women and men in America is the plumbing. Femininity is very sexy and a woman that doesn't feel she needs to compete with a man is indeed a woman. We are different for a reason.

I agree with someone earlier,that it takes a special and well grounded woman to be with a trucker. I've been driving over over twenty years and while they do have guys that spend more time looking for sex,majority are more concerned with getting a load delivered on time, finding a place to park and getting rest for the next day.

I'm not sure why it is a crime but its noway any worse than alcohol. If you want to sit in your living room and smoke, in a free country it should be legal. Treat the same way as alcohol with no driving under the influence.

When he comes back misbehaving the best thing you could do is take a fighting stance and front kick him in the groin. Then we he drops to the floor grab his free arm and perform a arm bar until he says uncle. Seriously though, I think yelling to much is just as damaging as hitting. It's hard being a parent sometime and yelling often probably does no good. Tell him a few times and if he doens't listen try some form of punishment.

I have on a couple occassions. Maybe they had an interesting profile or just funnny and complimented them. I once ran across a profile of lady trucker,myself being a trucker noticed she was in good shape and sent her a nice compliment. I told her I rarely see lady truckers who keep in shape and she was doing a good job, also thinking we could discuss trucking issues that could of benifited both of us. In no way did I suggest or want a date. I like my women South of the border, but anyway she replied with a negative comment asking why I only commented on her looks and got her feathers ruffled up assuming I wanted a date. That was the only negative feedback I ever got and the rest just thanked me and we went our merry way.

They really need to legalize weed and regulate like alcohol. Nobody deserves to be put away for smoking pot. Now, hard drugs should stay illegal and strictly enforced. Mike Phelps is being ripped apart for holding a bong ,thats ridiculous. Kelloggs dropped his endorsement and I drop Kelloggs. We need prisons but keep it for serious offences like child molesters. I also believe prison should be tough but rehab should be available as well so when they come out they have something to work with.

A family member began a surname search and traced our family back to Ireland. Not sure how we ended up in South,Louisiana but I would like a vacation to Ireland someday. Pazoozoo; I tottally agree with your stance on the vets. Its a disgrace for any of them to be in that type of situation. You would be surprised the people that see them and say they are bums or lazy without knowing the facts. As for Henrietta, I still believe it was a good thing. As for her son, I know nothing about him except that he is 37. He could be disabled for all I know. What I do know is two homeless people have a roof over there heads and thats OK with me. Who am I to judge? I read so often where people use this verse out of the bible about giving and teaching to fish. If I am not mistaken it also says the one who gives to the least has won a prize in heaven. I always admire a person who can give and expect nothing in return. This is something rare in the country we live in.

Good for Hernrietta. How can anyone be against this? Florida does get cold in the winter at times. I could care less of her past and making all kinds of judgements. Nobody knows until you have walked in her shoes,just assumptions. I much rather pay for this then some CEO giving himslef a bonus. There is much more corporate welfare handed out but we hardly ever hear about it. Just hope you are never sleeping in your car and need help. Tortilla & Chicken Soup; 1 lg.white onion chopped,1 can diced green chiles undrained,1 can stewed tomatoes,5 cups chicken broth,4 cups cooked chicken diced, 1 tsp ground cummin, 1/2 tsp. dried red peppers, 2 tsp worcestershire sauce, 2 cups whipping cream, 3 lg. avocados cubed, 1 pkg. corn tortilla strips. In large kettle, saute onions and chiles. When onions are slightly limp,add all other ingredients except whipping cream,avocados and chips. cover and simmer for 1-2 hours. Turn off heat and stir in cream. Place avocado in bowls, fill bowls with soup and sprinkle with tortilla strips. I like this recipe and hope you do as well.

Lots of good advice. For whatever its worth,try not obssessing over it and keep your head up. Start transforming yourself and doing things you did not do when you were married meanwhile rebuilding your self esteem. She has moved on and I agree with NMkeith, you need to get your ducks in a row now,because the longer you wait the worst it can be . Take care of your kids and spend as much time as you can with them.I'm not sure where you are located but consider taking a trip down south,Mexico is a good escape for a single guy and a very good chance you will meet a beautiful senorita that will take care of you and you never know she might follow you back. I am divorced 12 years and moved on years ago but I know exactly how you feel when you say reaching out with nobody there. Good Luck and know things will get better in time.

No age restriction in Louisiana. With that being said I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving a 10 year old alone for ten hours but I do believe your husband was doing his best and should not loose custody. I also believe you hurt your kids more than helped and now your kids are living in a strange enviroment. Another reason I believe your ex should retain custody. Try getting more involved with your kids and maybe you and your ex can work out a schedule that will benifit everyone involved.

It matters to me but I would cook equally for her as well. If a woman tells me she can't cook are hates it then that is a dealbreaker for me. This is a message that should not be ignored in my opinion. Reading some of the replies it seems American women are above cooking and you better not even expect that huge sacrifice from her. I also understand if a woman works then it should be a shared responsibility but if she does not work outside the home then cook a meal now and then. For all you guys who have no problem if a woman cooks,I say good for you and you will have no competititon from me.

I agree with someone earlier that I haven't heard that word in over twenty years. I think the last time was on a drilling rig when I broke 4 of my fingers and my brother the driller called me a****for sticking my hand in the wrong place. One woman said she was called that and they never found the guys body after. I am not sure if I should report her or not. Myself; I would never be with a woman who would allow someone to talk disrespectful to her except in the bedroom if she wants me to. Only respect both ways would work for me but maybe this couple was close enough to know it wasn't meant in a bad way or maybe he said she was cunning and the OP misunderstood. No violence requried over a word because their are better ways to shut the person up.

Well said Capitano; After my daughter turns eighteen and decides to go to college I would have no problem giving the money directly to her knowing it is being used for college. If Obama wins he has stated that any young adult willing to do community service or military will be guaranteed college assistance. So this is one way to afford college and if the father or mother can afford to contribute,then even better. We don't need a bitter person trying to leach off the ex for personal gain. Time to move on.

This would be a deal breaker for me and her comment can only be taken three ways. She is trying to make you jealous,trying to make you move in ASAP and last she is telling you she still has feelings for her ex. Either way she is playing mind games like someone stated earlier. Example; You tell your long distance g/f you are lonely and you think of your ex and not her and you want to be honest. While you are being honest you tell her the sex with your ex was so good that you dream about her and how she made you feel. Now what have you accomplished? Do you think she will be understanding and feel closer to you for being honest or will she say adios. Seems like alot of drama to me and not much consideration for your feelings. I would suggest letting her know how it made you feel but then again if you have to alert someone that talking and thinking about their ex makes you uncomfortable then clearly you are not made for each other and she needs a mate that enjoys that kind of stuff. In most cases the mother gains custody but their are exceptions. The stats show when the role is reversed the percentage of mothers who do not pay child support is far greater than the men. Even if she does not pay you still should never speak bad about his mom and always encourage a good relationship.If she chooses not to be around then you have done your part without being spiteful. I agree, its her bad choices to make but it is his obligation to step in and keep a close eye if things don't seem right. This proves that she could be an unfit mother and it is wise if you keep records,dates,times,places and she does not have to know you are doing this. Spend alot of time with your kids and if things are bad they will eventually say. Seems to me she has bad judgemnet already if she is dating a Bum and not putting your kids first. Be aware that he could end up living off you therefore taking away from your kids and another reason to pay attention. Tim Isbell;I somewhat agree with you but your grammer is the damnest thing I've ever seen.

I disagree with some of the post who offered advise. It does matter who your Ex is dating and you really should keep a close eye on this and keep records of things that seem unstable. Without going into detail my son had a terrible experience when he was 10 with my Ex's husband and I had to step in and get the law involved. My Ex. actually tried to hide it,telling my son not to tell me because I would get mad and go to jail but I always taught my kids if someone tells you not to tell a parent,teacher,cop then you should know they are hiding something. You are their father and have a obligation to see they are being taken care of even if you live apart. I f you are blessed your Ex will find a decent guy and then count your lucky stars for that.

I can relate to this and I believe the best thing you can do is meet with the guy one on one and let him know you have no feeling for your ex but you do respect her as your kids mom. Then let him know your main concern is your childrens well being and you will be there every step of the way. Let him know you are not a threat to him as you are divorced but you will be hands on dad. If he is logical he will listen and life can be somewhat normal. I must confess I did this with my ex's boyfriend because he was getting loud and out of control.Problem when I confronted him in a civil manner he laughed and had this smirk on his face so till this day I have his tooth imprint on my knuckle and since then has improved his attitude. I definately do not recommend this approach but had no other choice. Caution,sometimes guys like this try to stir things up just so you pay your child support but never see your kids but don't allow this to happen. On a positive note; with time things will improve and life will become stable. Good Luck

Lazysummer; I know exactly where you are coming from and you are accurate in some of your statements but some "can't handle the truth" and will always make up ridiculous statements even at their expense. I am not sure how we got on who invented certain types of music and such but if we look across the world and here anyone with a pulse can see and determine for themselves what race has excelled and made positive contributions but never to exclude the simple things that matter just as much. I am not at all a country music fan but a Black man stated and can be argued that rap started with country music and a country musician named Johnny Cash but I don't believe you will have White Folf knocking doors down to gain this title. Also, for the person who called you trailer trash;well that just shows her own ignorance and if it were you who made such a statement it would be a whole different scenario ; know what I'm saying? It seems to me that some make up stories to make them selves feel better but again at their expense. Anyway, I believe people should date who they are attracted to and live and let live is a good way to approach life and not worry about who invernted Johnny B Good.
