Why does racism have to be brought up in a lot of topics. This had nothing to do with race. e was asking if the people are slow to date here. Yes they are.

I was at the 57 on Atlantic last year and it was elbow to elbow in there. It was pretty much a mixed crowd. I liked it. The one in OP sucked. Like you said, Mr. Right to many. I had a pretty good time, I enjoy going out to Famous Amos and getting to know everyone on a quieter level. Except for the little ruckus. Looking forward to Saturday. Let me know.

Yes he chose the wrong wording. If he had worded that better, I probably would have said oh how sweet, a real gentleman. I was just bringing up a point. I see this a lot in some peoples profiles. If they had just worded it better, they probably would not come across as shallow, when in fact they probably aren't. I love reading peoples profiles.

Maybe I'm wrong. What crossed my mind is---> Everyone would stop well that's only in the movies anyway. Arm candy, trophy wife, or shallowness. I thought of Shallow Hall. I see a lot of different ways people put things and when you re-read them you actually can see what they are saying.

Okay mostly to the ladies,
If you read this on someone profile what would pops into your mind?
This is from someones profile. Just quoted it.
"A woman you don't mind waiting that extra half hour for her to be ready to walk out that door. Even though you have reservations for 7, knowing your going to be late. However when we do walk into that room. It stops and everyone stares! Because she is on my arm beside me."
I find it quite amusing that he actually put this on his profile.

Quite a few show up. If they were more centrally located more people would probably come out. We need to find a place in the heart of Jacksonville. Does anyone have any ideas? I live by the airport, so not much up here. This town is so spread out. Some where like Riverside, San Marco or Landing would be a great places.

If he wants to see his son. He would be the one doing the driving. It's his responsibility to pick up on Friday and drop off on Sunday. He needs to follow court orders. It's not what convenient for him but whats convenient for the custodial parent. If he does not call an legal aid and ask them what to do.

how do you tell if a guy is married?
Posted:
9/14/2008 6:23:13 PM
Found out he was married. His wife called me one Saturday morning. I guess that answered my question. We talked for a while, I felt so bad for her. She was so nice about it and adult, I was expecting her to lash out at me but she apologized for him doing that. I told her she had no reason to apologize, that he was the one who needed to apologize. She said she already knew she just need the proof he was actually meeting people. WTF!! I am so leery of meeting men now days. This is not the first time this has happen from online dating.
Always follow your gut feeling. That's why God gave it to us.

how do you tell if a guy is married?

I have a similar problem. We only been out 3 times in over a month cause he is always gone on the weekends. I think the guy is a married. He's military. He lives here on base in base housing, tells me because he gets his kids a majority of the time. He owns a house in Atlanta suburbs, says he fixing it up to sell. Been divorced 10 years he says. He goes up there every weekend. So I ask him is he married and swears up and down he's not. He says he will take me to his house to show me he's not (the local one). Ok maybe his wife still lives in the house in Atlanta because they own it and can't sell it yet. He says he been here for a year. He does not call when he is gone, I guess phones don't call out of state. He tells me this is his last time he's going up to Atlanta for a while. His cell number is Atlanta are code. I really like this guy and he says the same to me. I do have his local home phone#. I want to give him a the benefit of the doubt but my gut keeps telling me he's married. I got a call while he was in Atlanta from a blocked number, they would not speak just sat on the phone. I want to know if he is married. If he's not I don't want to screw it up, he is really nice guy and hot on top of that. I seem to attract the married ones. I have gotten phone calls from wives and girlfriends before.
I am beginning to wonder if I have a sign above my head saying if your married pick me.
What would you do, if you were in my shoes? Email me privately if you wish.

I want to know right off the bat if someone is not interested. This has happen so many times. I think people are afraid they my hurt your feelings. I hate to be strung alone, this is so unfair. If I don't tell someone in their face, then I will email them and tell them.

Has anyone been brave enough to meet someone with no pic at all?
Posted:
8/23/2008 12:01:13 PM
Sometimes I look at profile without pic, even talk to a few. I ask for a pic and they end up not my type. It doesn't matter If I have a pic or not, I still really don't get emails. This online dating it starting to cause me low self-esteem.
From another site, one guy emailed me without a pic. So I ask for one. I saw his pic and thought what the hell, so I met him, man was he handsome, pic did him no justice at all. HE said the same for me, we still talk but have had bad luck in meeting again, because of the weather here in Florida. So he ask me to meet him Friday before he left for the weekend. I melted when I saw him again. We'll see if we will meet again. Says he's very interested but we'll see.

confused,, how do i get my man back?
Posted:
6/28/2008 5:22:21 AM
Yep I would say it is the age gap. He can't give you what you want. He sees the future. You have not even begin to live at 27. I dated a older man when I was in my twenties, I look back now and think I'm glad we didn't stay together. I am now 40 he is now 57. He has nothing to offer me. I look at him when he picks up our daughter and I am not interested in anyway. I think to myself, what the hell was I thinking back then. He's a good person and a great father but he probably wont be around to much longer, drinking and health issues, might I say. Try and get over him and move forward. Find someone closer to your age. Learn from my experience.

So many young divorces
Posted:
6/13/2008 8:11:16 PM
Too easy these days, divorce lawyer on every corner. They do not want to make a commitment. They do not want work out their problems. I think people get married without really thinking it through. Maybe they are in love with the idea of a wedding or marriage instead of the person. I been divorce for 14 years now. I divorced for a very good reason, adultery and abuse. Since then I haven't met the right person. No one I wanted to be with for the rest of my life.
