Hi Everyone - Any good luck?

Hey Mystic
I'm with you <img src=http://www.plentyoffish.com/smiles/icon_201.gif border=0> I've met the woman of my dreams. She emailed me first and I responded and the rest as they say is history. Been spending every weekend with her, either at her place or mine, and talking on the phone the rest of the week.
So my advice to everyone is answer that email, you never know where it will lead

Who Is Most Likely To Marry AGAIN?
Posted: 3/29/2008 11:46:18 PM
Here's my 2 cents worth
I think it all depends on who wanted out of the marriage in the first place, as to who is likely to get married again.
I personally didn't want it to end, although I accepted it and moved on, and am still single after 7+ yrs. I had dated my ex for 5 yrs off and on since HS when we married and after my divorce I needed some time to experience life, and now I'm ready to settle down again, so here I am fishing. I have had several relationships since, all ended mutually, distance/time or family issues.
On the other hand my ex wanted out and had a BF within several months and was married within 18 months to "mr perfect" that lasted less than 2 yrs. My girls even said he wierded them out. She tied the knot for a 3rd time in Sept 07. He seems like a nice guy and my girls like him.
Mutual family friends have boycotted her last 2 full blown church weddings, because they tell everyone that she threw away the best guy she ever had.

Still living with the Ex?
Posted: 3/23/2008 6:59:47 AM
Hey OP I had to check out where you were from, sounds about like a gal I met in NE Iowa. Only she wasn't living with her ex anymore, but doing all the house work, cooking and babysitting for him because of their kids that lived with him. He was paying rent for her.
When I told her that I still liked the rock music that was popular when "we" were growing up she told me that she had grown up and was into country music now.
I dropped her like a "hot potato"

A Man's Take on Women Drivers
Posted: 3/21/2008 6:56:37 PM
This story sounds funny, and it is but in real life it wasn't. I used to drive truck and was passed by a lady going 65 down I39 in Illnois applying makeup and reading some papers and talking on her hands free cell phone. Needless to say 2 miles down the road, I was the first on the scene, to find her car rolled over in the median, she ran over something in the road and blew out a front tire, and was very lucky to be alive, with only a broken arm and shaken nerves.

Daylight savings time for third shift workers
Posted: 3/10/2008 2:55:48 PM

Keep the longer days where the sun can provide the most productive light and the environment can benefit too

The day is still only 24 hrs long. We just shifted the clocks so that we moved a hour of daylight from the morning to the evening.
As for 3rd shift workers, I have first hand experience, I just started a new job, working for the largest ag tractor manufacturer in the world, and any one working over the weekend clocked in and out after working the normal # of hours you were supposed to work and then the supervisor's had to make adjustments to the time sheets.
Another occupation that DLST makes a headache for is OTR drivers. Can only drive 11 hrs in 14 hrs and then need to take a 10 hr break. DOT regs state that when time change occur that a driver willnot change their clock time until after their 14hr on-duty time and then must take 11hr off-duty break.

Posted: 3/1/2008 3:05:05 PM
I'll make it unanimous Gas rules electric drools.
Having grown up on a farm, when ever the power went out during a winter storm, we always had hot food and a warm kitchen.
When I was married, we had to have electric stove, she had grown up with electric and didn't like gas.
When I was looking for my current house, it was gas only for me. Heat on Heat off
This my 2cents worth

Anyone quitting smoking because of Doyle's tax increase?
Posted: 1/16/2008 6:24:09 PM
Grannie
You could ask any friends that drive truck OTR if they would pick up smokes in Kentucky or other southern states where they grow tobacco and taxes are lower. Another poster mentioned indian casinos or smoke shops they're good places too.
Although quitting would healthier for you and that precious little bundle you're holding in your pic.

agave nectar, the latter having the lowest glycemic index among currently known natural sweeteners, making it acceptable for weight watchers, diabetics, and health conscious people in general

Weight Watchers also use applesauce as a substitute for sugar. My sis-in-law is a leader so this is how I know, not sure on amount to use though.

Here's my chocolate cake recipe
3c flour
6T cocoa
2c sugar
2tsp soda
1tsp salt
3/4c oil
2c water
2T vinegar
1tsp vanilla

mix dry ingredents in cake pan. Add liquid ingredents, mix by hand with big spoon.
Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes.
AWESOME

Maybe 90 is to to old for this cute guy to date or maybe he's not interested since you have seemed to lie about your age and figures that you lie to him again & again

Why are most men looking for Friends with Benefits?
Posted: 10/27/2007 5:57:58 PM
The only benefit I'm looking for right now is a good home cooked meal. The last lady that I was seeing was the head cook in a cafe, and her fridge contained juice boxes for grandkids, half finished raisins, and curdled milk. She wouldn't cook a meal for me, I never asked why, and we always went out to eat, unless it was at my house, and being the gentleman that I am, I'd pick up the check, once in awhile she would. So that is the only benefit I'm looking for right now

Halloween costumes: You, a special somone, or crazy ideas
Posted: 10/27/2007 12:14:36 PM
I'll give a little background info first. I delivered petroluem products to farmers in the rural area where I live. The company that I worked for used 2-way radios for communication and I was "OPEC" when they needed to get ahold of me.
For my costume I put on a bed sheet with a bright belt, a white rag with black head band on my head, lots of costume jewelry, sun glasses, I always grew a full beard for the winter season, so I looked the part of a Arab oil sheik. To top off my costume I carried a new gas nozzle tucked in my belt and walk up to people I knew and say "This is a stick up give me all your money for my oil" Today that would probably get my a$$ kicked.

Animal Rights
Posted: 10/20/2007 5:34:27 PM

We should be using the prisoners in prison for medical experiments and research......at least they can serve some form of purpose!

Can you say Hitler, Nazi, SS. Many prisoners of WWII were used for medical "tests" and people really complained back then.
I agree with another poster, let patients sign an affidavit, allowing for medicenes tested without animal testing, if thats the way they feel.

For Shift Workers
Posted: 10/7/2007 8:19:38 AM
I tried to have a relationship with a lady that worked as a waitress, with Wed & Thur as her off days. Talk about hard to plan anything, as I drove OTR at the time I planned on seeing her Sat evening and/or being home Wed or Thur and spend the day with her.
When I was married, we owned a flower shop, talk about not seeing each other. Holidays, like Valentines Day, Mother's Day, Easter wasn't as bad, but for the week heading up to these, I was lucky to see my ex, from about Wed on. As she would put in 20 hr days getting ready for the rush. Then there was the weekends, weddings on Sat, and funerals visitations on Sun. we couldn't plan to far ahead, and my ex and I have told our daughters that they would be better off going into a different career.

I'm sure I'll be nervous when it happens again for me, with my medical history and drugs, I'm taking but there's other ways to make up for that

Posted: 9/29/2007 11:40:13 AM
OP I feel for you, see I listed a major health issue in my bio, also. I personally feel that being honest up front is the best thing a person could do. I would think it proves that we don't try and hide anything from anybody.
I've had lots of lookers but only a handful of e-mails, but I feel that biggest reason they run is, I still have kids in HS and most of them are empty nesters.

Burning pain in shoulder
Posted: 9/23/2007 8:34:47 PM

anatomically speaking shoulders have very poor blood supplies so they heal/build slowly.

I was involved in a roll over truck accident in June 2006,following this my left shoulder had a pain in it, but a MRI didn't show any damage, so tried phsyical therapy, didn't really help. It is gone now though, I had a triple by-pass on July 9th this year, no pain in there now. Don't know your history but talk to your doctor. Good Luck
