A family is sitting at the dinner table and the son asks to his father," Dad, can you tell me how many kinds of "boobs" are there?
The father with a grin says , " son there are three kinds of boobs. When a woman is in her 20's they are like melons, round and firm. When she is in her 30's and 40's they are like pears, still somewhat round and firm but just hanging a little. Then after 50 they are like onions".
The son looks at his dad in questions and says," Like onions?" Dad replies," Yes, when you look at them they make you cry".
The wife and daughter were disgusted with this conversation. The daughter looks at her mother and says," Mom can you tell me how many different kinds of willies there are?" Mom smiles and says," Honey there are three phases that a man goes thou in life. When he is in his 20's he is like an Oak tree, big and hard and strong. Then in his 30's and 40's he is like a birch tree. Limber but reliable. And finally after he passes 50 he is like a Christmas tree."
The daughter looks in wonderment and say," A Christmas tree?"
The mother says, "Yes dear, it's dead from the root up and the balls are only for decoration."

look like this.

3 tea. sugar
3 tea. baking powder
1/2 tea salt
12 oz. beer
No.2
3 cups self rising flour
3 tea. sugar

No.3
4 cups Bisquick
3 tea. sugar

No.4 is correct for wheat bread
Also you can use a sugar substitute or completely eliminate it if you wish.

EASY BEER BREAD
EASY BEER BREAD
EASY BEER BREAD
Do not use light beers. Budweiser, Killian's and others are good. Bread changes flavor by using different beers. Use beer at room temperature.
No.1 No. 2 No.3
3 cups regular flour 3 cups self-rising flour 4 cups Bisquick
3 tea. sugar 3 tea. sugar 3 tea. sugar
3 tea.baking powder 12 oz. beer 12 oz. beer
1/2 tea. salt
12 oz. beer
No.4
1 1/2 cups regular flour
1 1/2 cups wheat flour
4 tea. baking powder
1 tea. salt
1/3 cup brown sugar
12 oz.beer
Put all "dry" ingredients listed in the recipe of your choice from above into a bowl and stir it up. Slowly pour in "room temperature" beer. Gently mix. DO NOT whip the bubbles out of the beer. It will be "lumpy". Pour into a greased loaf pan (5x9)
Cover the pan with a light towel or a few layers of paper towels and put in a warm place for 20 minutes.
Pre heat oven to 350 degrees and bake for 40 minutes until browned on top.
Remove from pan and let cool.
VARIATIONS-below can be added to "dry" ingredients. Add beer last.
OLIVE PARMESAN BREAD- 1 cup chopped olives (any kind)
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tea. Italian seasoning
ONION BREAD- 1 small onion chopped
1 cup shredded cheese ( cheddar or pepper jack etc.)
2 tea. basil
1 Tab. sunflower or sesame seeds
CHILI CHEESE BREAD- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 (4 oz.) can diced green chilies -OR-
1/4 cup diced hot peppers
SUGGESTIONS
Spread 2 Tab. melted butter on top before baking for a golden crusty top
Use a cookie sheet or foil under pan if using butter on top to catch drips
Line pan with skinny piece of parchment paper to cover bottom and sides as it acts as
a "sling" for easy removal
Let "cool" completely for nice slices
USES
Can be sliced and toasted. Good with butter and jelly
Cubed and used to dip into fondues
Can be used for sandwiches
Can be dropped by a tablespoon on a greased cookie sheet and baked
Can be dropped by a tablespoon on top of stew or casseroles and baked
Good with soup,stew,beans,chili and salad
ENJOY!

WHOM, HOW or WHEN did you begin your love of cooking?

I have a real decent and easy and cheap bread recipe for you and others in this forum that might like to try it. I will post it after this. But first I'd like to tell you a story about it. My 92 year old neighbor and friend gave it to me about 5 years ago.
She said that during the Depression when bread ingredients were either too expensive or not available this bread became a popular alternative. In her time it only consisted of 2 ingredients. 3 cups of flour and 12 ounces of beer. She said they could get Government supplied flour and sometimes had to make their beer. She said that she fed it to many starving homeless people along with a huge pot of beans.
The recipe has gone thou improvements since that time. You can add extra ingredients and fancy it up. I use it if I have unexpected company or short notice. No time for shopping. You can whip it up in less than 10 minutes with basic staples you have on hand at the time. Of course it takes another 60 minutes before it comes to the table.
I hope you enjoy. Compliments of Granny Metcalf who very recently passed.

WHOM, HOW or WHEN did you begin your love of cooking?

My grandmother was my cooking inspiration from as far back as I can remember. Every Sunday after church the family went to my grandparents house for supper. (14 adults and 23 grand kids) They raised poultry and had a huge garden.
I also chased a few chickens with their heads cut off when I was a kid! Maybe
that's why I some times say," I feel like a chicken with my head cut off!"
I was around 6 but very eager to help my granny in the kitchen. I loved being with her. We would cook and sing and dance and play while we worked to put supper on the table. I spent a lot of weekends and summer time with her in the garden and the kitchen. I was the "one" grandchild that wanted to learn everything she knew. She taught me so many things in many different areas. In the kitchen she taught me southern cooking, scratch baking, how to butcher meat, canning and pickling foods.
Age 13, my mother became terminally ill and I became the "cook" for my family of 7.
At age 25 my grandmother passed. My relatives especially the men asked me to take her place as head cook in all family gatherings and holidays. I cooked everything that my grandmother cooked many years ago exactly like she would have prepared it and I did it for many years.
I taught my sister's daughters as much as they were willing and I "retired" from that honor when I turned 50. Now I just stand around the kitchen sipping wine, singing,
dancing,telling jokes and supervising.
I am currently employed as a cook in a oil field work camp on the North Slope. I have had no formal cooking training and very little other paid cooking experience. My grandmother gave me the skills that got me the job!
YES, I love cooking and have since I was 6 and in my granny's kitchen.

How long have you been doing online dating?
Posted:

I have been doing this for 6 weeks now. First time I've ever tried anything like this . It has been a wonderful experience. I am very pleased so far .
I received so many lovely replies from nice gentlemen that I had to "hide" my profile after 3 weeks. Most all of them are "long distance". So we have to break the ice and get to know one another thou e-mails. It's time consuming and difficult. I couldn't find the time to communicate effectively with all of them. I find it difficult to have to "eliminate" a nice guy that I am communicating with because I prefer to give my time to someone else that I feel more connected with.
I am currently communicating with a wonderful man who is "Long Distance" and I'm talking over 3,000 miles! I don't know what the out come will be but for now I'm having much pleasure in getting to know him better.
I'm having a great time in POF and I love the forums too!
I think people that have been fishing on this site for a long time really do not want to be in a LTR or maybe they are just too set in their life style and too picky.
I wish for every one here a fun time fishing and a true love of your life.

At 45+ How long we wait to have sex???
Posted:
9/21/2007 7:34:15 AM
It depends on how "well we know each other" not necessarily "how long we've known each other or how many dates we've had. When "we" decide to try to build a relationship and when the chemistry is right it will "happen" naturally. It could be any where from one to ten dates. If it's right, it will happen when we are ready and nothing is going to stop us then.
I agree with natgoat that the "stronger the chemistry" the sooner it will happen even if you think you have to wait for another 4 or 5 weeks. You'll never be able to last that long if you really want each other.

how do you feel about getting old?
Posted:

I don't want to be "old". I do not wear "purple yet".
But I remind myself that my grand parents are past, both my mother and father are past, most of my aunts and uncles are past, some of my cousins are past, my little brother is past and some of my dear friends are past. 100 years is such a short time to live. There's just not enough time.
I don't want to be "old".
Until I am past, I will "live" and hopefully I will have know love and happiness again before I die.

Dancing at clubs and such
Posted:
9/18/2007 2:23:57 AM
If you like to dance. Dance with anyone and everyone. Don't be shy about it. Just ask and if they say no, keeping asking other people.
Where I live is it easy. I dance with kids and young men and old men and really old men. I dance with girls and old women. I have even been known to dance by myself if no one else wants to.
I think that if a woman that you really want to dance with sees you dancing with everyone that's willing and having a ball, that when you ask her she will probably want to have some fun too!

I am also a Virgo. Never met any sign that I really felt negative about. I guess I am the naive Virgo type. Help!
So what do you think?
Virgo and Virgo,Leo,Aquarius or Taurus?
P.S. I know we are only having a little fun with this. Right?

Is kissing more or less important to you in a relationship as you get older?

Yes it is true that in Alaska we do have longer periods of darkness in the winter.
Nothing to do with what I am try to communicate here.
We also have up to 24 hours a day of sun light in the summer months.
Darkness or lightness. What does it matter when comes to a "good kiss"?

I do prefer the "in-the-moment" action shots. I think they portray more personality.
I did one of those girlie glamor shoots with a few of my girl friends. You get to put on several different outfits and a hair stylist does your hair in a few different ways and even had two glasses of wine. They had a set up like they were filming a movie and I was their subject. Had four people fussing over me. I had a blast with it. It was fun!
So I did post one of the pictures on my POF profile. I think it is very high quality and shows your facial features close up and clearly. But the rest will be snap shots as soon as I get some currant ones to down load.
I think it's O.K. to post a professional picture if you chose. But not necessary.
I wouldn't spend the money just to post it on POF pro file. But if you decide to have it done for other reasons then please do share it with us.

Yes,I agree beachgirl. The kissing says it all. And I do like so much of what a lot of you have to say here.
funnygirl, celticmist, shipoker, teresa, sassysky, willow I like the erotic kissing descriptions. Yes, I want some of that too!
For me, kissing sometimes is reassuring and relaxing and sometimes it's stimulating. A wonderful aphrodisiac! I personally could not be in a relationship without lots of yummy delicious "kissing".

Don't feel too sad about it. I have similar kinds of problems. In the real world men my age seem afraid of me too. The young guys love to talk, socialize and party with me . They tell me that I'm beautiful and a "hot mama". I don't want to be their mama.
The elderly guys (65+) love me too. Think I'm a "sweet babe" But there is too much of a generation gap and I don't have much in common with them. They remind me too much of my father and I'm not looking for a daddy.
The men that I am most attracted to closer to my age (50-62) seem to want something different that what I am. I think someone younger, thinner, better body and maybe less assertive. They seem to be most interested in the girls that are (25-40)
I think that you seem like a nice lady. You are pretty and your shyness I would think would be a "sweet" attraction. The cane shouldn't be a problem. I'd date a man that used a cane. Better to be safe than to fall and hurt yourself. If they are too "fast" for you, that's because they are not considerate enough to "slow" down. You don't need to be with a guy like that anyway.
I agree with you that on line dating sites seem like pretend dating. I wonder if people here are really serious about finding a "life long relationship" or if it's just entertainment and a way to socialize with out being committed to actually go out and do it. I know that I have made first contact with "many" and my mail box is still "empty". I have slowed down some what in "fishing" out of disappointment.
I guess it's better to pretend date than to sit in front of the TV alone and the forums are
interesting, entertaining, educating and fun! So it's not a total waste. We could look at it like this:
Fish the site and see something you might like, then bait your hook and reel it in.
Fish:
Make an honest attempt to get to know your fish and see if it's a match.
One or both might jump back into the pool to look for something different.
Either way, you start fishing again. Maybe all you might seem to do is "catch and release" or be "released"
But, maybe, eventually, some day, with some luck and maybe a small miracle, you just might connect with the last love of your life and have a long term relationship.
By the way that green "prick"
No need to be afraid of it. Just be cautious
because "they" are out there too, looking for some "action"

Should I worry if my boyfriend has a close relationship with female friend
Posted:
9/14/2007 10:18:13 AM
This post caught my eye when logging on to the site because of I what I experienced 5 years ago.
My best friend had what I and everyone around her thought to be a happy 29 year marriage. I met a man that I really cared about and we became engaged. I asked my best friend of 20 years to be my maid of honor and she accepted. She had known my fiancé' for about 12 years. She knew him much longer than I and they were friends.
I never thought twice about it when her husband was out of town or fishing or doing something else and my friend and my fiancé' would spend time together.
It was shocking when I learned that she left her 29 year marriage and my betrothed left me to be with her.
I am not saying that this is your situation. But let's look at some facts here.
You and your man live together. I will assume that means that you are in a committed
relationship. I'm understanding from you that your man does not include you in weekly social outings witch include this woman. You said that this woman barely spoke to you and that she felt uncomfortable in your presence. Your man told you that he was in love with her at one time in his past but she rejected his love and they remained friends. Your man told you that he would not give her up because he has love for her.
I am certainly not an expert on love advice. I saw all the signs but gave the benefit of doughty and trusted both parties in my situation. I think that you probably do trust your man even if he has earned it or not but why should you trust this woman?
Do you think that if this woman changed her mind and decided that she was ready for a relationship with your man that he would leave you for her?
I think that if your answer is even a "maybe" and given the above circumstances that I would be very cautious.
Maybe you should make it a point to join them on their outings. Tell your man that you would like to get to know his friend better. If your man does not welcome your company than run baby run as fast as you can.
I can truly emphasize your situation and wish you luck

How long have you been doing on line dating?
Posted:
9/13/2007 2:30:00 AM
I have been on this site for about a month now. I have never tried on line dating before. Don't really know the rules or how things are going to work yet.
I am so excited that I am going to find the love of my life,my knight in shinning Armour and soul mate. Life is going to be so good.
I jumped right in there and went to work reading profiles of men that I thought I might have a real connection with in my state and all over the USA just a few weeks ago. Spent days fishing and reading .
I made the first contact with over 20 men and spent hours and hours of hard keyboard labor e-mailing them with introductions and telling them more of myself and why I thought he and I had a lot in common. Then I waited for his return. And I waited. And I waited. And I waited.
Surely out of 20 contacts I'd receive 4 or 5 responses. That's reasonable, right?Someone would find me appealing enough to want to get to know me better. Isn't that what it's all about? You make a contact and he e-mails you back.
The site administrator sent me an e-mail. It was my first contact. He said that people get more responses when they get involved in the forums. I started looking and came
across this one and thought to myself Yes, let's see how many "months" it took other people to find their loves!
Boy was I surprised! Kinda Shocked! Then I got really depressed!
When I got to the second page I started laughing so hard I had to get up and walk away to wipe the tears, blow my nose and get a shoot of whiskey.
You guys have a wonderful sense of humor about the whole thing.
You busted my bubble.
And brought me back down to earth.
Thank You
It 's becoming painfully obvious that the forms are probably the only thing on this site that's going to give me pleasure.

How many of you have initiated contact??
Posted:
9/11/2007 6:35:07 PM
I have been the main initiator on this site. I have so far conducted a though search of profile types that I feel would be most compatible based on what I am all about and looking for and the contents of the profile.
I prefer it this way. The men that have initiated contact with me have had nothing in common. I don't think they read or comprehended my profile throughly. So I decided that if I wait for the men I was interested in to contact me it would never happen. I know what I want. I know what I like. So I decided that I would have to try and find it myself.
First I look at very basic things that are important to me such as age and height. I am a
very tall woman and prefer taller a man. I'm somewhat open to age but do not want a generation gap that may interfere with interests and communication. The first thing you look at may be different. It may be the photos or the interests or the section about who that person is. For me this is just a pre screening process. I know how that sounds but this is a very serious endeavorer and you have to start somewhere.
Next I look at the photos. I imagine kissing or being intimate with that person. Some I might feel no way, others maybe, and then there might be a Oh Yes that's sweet. Maybe that's not right but it's just how I feel. Don't get me wrong I am not attracted to pretty boys. His looks just have to appeal to me. His smile or his eyes. A way about him.
Last I read the profile very carefully and any assessments that are attached. Yes this is the most important part. We must have common interests and have a similar relationship point of view. I must feel that this is a person that I want to know better.
Although I feel that the profile and how he articulates is MOST important I screen my
picks from the above because I feel that it is important to have both a physical and mental attraction.
If it all works out, then I send him a e-mail , introduce myself, tell him a little more about myself and invite him to view my profile.
And don't feel bad because I have initiated many contacts and have had very few responses. That's O.K. We are looking for just one. The one. The love of my (your) life.
If it were easy we would not be here. This is the most difficult pursuit of my life too.
Don't give up. Review your profile and expand on it. Add more photos. Reevaluate what you are looking for and who you are contacting.
I wish you luck in the most difficult search of your life. Happy Fishing!

Long hair on older women
Posted:
9/11/2007 5:27:53 PM
I have also had long hair most of my life. I had it cut twice above my shoulders. Last time was 30 years ago. I have natural curly hair and short cuts were unmanageable for me. I found that when it was longer it pulled the curl out to a wave and it felt more comfortable. I kept telling myself that when I turned 50 my locks had to go. But when that happened, I couldn't do it. I love long hair and I think I look better in longer hair.
I am 53 now. I think that it is unfair for some to say that we are struggling in a desperate attempt to stay young by not cutting our hair short. I am also thinking outside the box now.
