Posted: 10/24/2007 3:29:26 PM Ok all you MMA/UFC fans out there the deal between Liddell and Silva has been "inked." What's everyone's thoughts on the matter? With as much hype as there has been surrounding this bout over the years anything less than a "war" will be "uncivilized." lol  skyjumper1776 Joined: 8/28/2007 Msg: 17 (view)   UFC and Pride Posted: 10/15/2007 4:59:11 PM I was reading an interview with Dana White and from what I gathered he made it sound like Couture wouldn't be able to fight Fedor in another organization because he is still under contract with the UFC. He also said that there is no truth to his contract expiring in nine months. As far as Coture goes, I'm sad to see him go. I have great respect for him as a fighter and rather enjoyed watching him fight. Especially when he handed Tim Sylvia his ass through 5 solid rounds to regain the title. That's not to say I don't enjoy watching him fight or more importantly respect him as a fighter. I just never really got on the "Liddell Bandwagon." I just don't know if I'd go so far as to say Liddell is done yet. Yes two losses in a row does not look good. However, he is still, without a doubt, one of the most feared strikers in all of MMA and especially in the UFC. Will he get the belt back? I don't know to be quite honest. He has a tough road ahead of him but that's not to say I don't think he is capable of doing it. I will enjoy watching him try!!!!   Show ALL Forums
