Class action against Yahoo Personals and Match.com for fraud
Posted: 11/21/2005 9:25:37 PM
Where do so many people get the idea that Match.com and Yahoo Personals are free to women? Nothing could be further from the truth. I have been a paying memer of both for over a year. These threads have been interesting, as it may explain why I don't hear back from some that I contact. On the other hand, I HAVE met LOTS of real people on both sites. Proof was phone calls or meeting in person. For that reason I was surprised to find out so many bogus activities were going on.

My biggest complaint has been all the "Africans" who impersonate good looking American guys that contact me on IM from Yahoo Personals. It doesn't take long to figure them out because they say they are from some state and don't mention a city; they mention USA;(which an American wouldn't do), they say they are raised in American or the UK, but are working in Africa on business, and, they don't use pronouns or plurals correctly. Why they bother to lie is beyond me....what do they expect to gain when their real identity is discovered, which is usually within a few seconds. They all have the same M.O.! They all sound the same with sickening romantic poetry and wanting to get married within 5 minutes of talking...SICK.
