What is going on? Posted: 8/3/2009 6:49:30 PM | Met someone online about a year ago; we seemed to hit it off, but then never met in person. Happened to come across one another again a few months ago. He kept asking to meet and I was amenable, but since his schedule is erratic due to the sort of work he does, I told him to pick a time and we'd go with that.
Since approximately March, he has hinted at meeting and then disappears. He has reappeared in May, June, and July - approximately a month apart each time - but in July he actually committed to a date and said he'd get in touch to finalize. It didn't happen.
Today I get both a voicemail and a text message telling me he's got the day off and wants to come over and meet me. Never mind that I'm at work. When I told him no, I was no longer interested, he pressed harder to meet, and finally said, "I'll give you some time to reconsider."
I am patient and understand that sometimes things happen, but this is a definite pattern. Why in the world would a guy do this if he's already shown that he's not really serious about meeting?
Thanks for your input. :) | | | |
