We don't know if the individual charged is the individual in the video. We don't know if he has a lawful excuse, which would mean he didn't commit a crime. Unlikely, but we don't know if he's NCR. We, essentially know NOTHING.
This is from one of the earlier stories about this crime.
On the night of his arrest, minutes after Patricia Marshall called 911, the Sun has learned that
James Cedar admitted to police
to frequent forays into the Marshalls' back yard under the cloak of darkness, peering though partially-closed blinds, seeing all three woman in various states of undress at various times, and then pleasuring himself.
If you do want to know more about this, Google Mark Bonokoski of the Toronto Sun. He has written a series of articles about the case. The unusual part of this is that the accused retained a high profile lawyer and the the head prosecutor for the St. Catharines area, Wally Essert, is the one who dropped the charges.
However, in a long letter to Patricia Marshall following her discovery of the charge being withdrawn, also published here, Essert's nutshell explanation was that, despite the
overwhelming evidence against Cedar
, convicting him would be considered an act of piling on.

I agree with going for the touchdown on the last play of the half, but not the play called. The quarterback sneak is the obvious play. There was a comment in the paper today that "there were 9 men in the box", but that is how the Bombers lined up on Sask's 3rd and 1 plays and Jyles made the yard that was needed. With the D line a yard off the ball and the O line knowing the snap count, a QB sneak should always be good for a yard or two.
The defense was on the field a lot, but they are responsible for that. They allowed two long Sask drives in the first quarter. The Bombers D has a lot of trouble with a QB who makes quick, short passes. Durant did the same thing Calvillo does and his play in the first quarter was the key to the game. The Bombers made some adjustments on defense at the half and if it wasn't for the interceptions and the fumble, they had a good chance to win.

So You Want To Harvest Your Dead Family Member's Sperm?
Posted:
4/17/2009 3:39:07 PM
Personally, I don't see this as any different than obtaining sperm from a sperm bank.
Another difference is that, in a normal sperm donation, the donor and his family don't know anything about or have anything to do with the baby. I'm guessing that the mother doesn't plan to donate the sperm and walk away.
How is she going to manage ths so that she can stay in the child's life?

Top That Story ......... The Love Things That Make You Go ... HUH??? ...

I had an ex that would stop talking to me for week or two at a time. If she came home and found me watching sports on TV, that would be enough for the silent treatment.
Usually, I wouldn't know what she was mad about and since she wasn't talking, I wouldn't find out.
Usualy, i would turn off the game when I saw her car pull into the driveway, just to keep the peace. One time, during a silent treatment, it occurred to me that since she was already punishing me, why bother turning off the game? She came in, looked at the TV and gave me the wtf look. She looked at the TV again and stomped off when I didn't turn it off. That was a bit of a turning point.
Thank God, I don't have to put up with that crap anymore.
BTW, how much do those tokens cost? I can see being mildly annoyed if he gives up the token, but stil mad the next day. He should be runing away as fast as he can.

It's ridiculous to sue a company that makes a legal product because someone misuses it.
Can we sue a car manufacturer if someone goes through a red light and kills someone? How about if I cut my finger off with my table saw? Yep, it's the saw's fault.

The Swedes should of left their goalie in, and accepted Canada's victory of 3-1, instead of the Swedes embarring themselves, of being beat 5-1 by Canada.
I disagree completely. If you have a chance to win, you go for it. Losing 3-1 or 5-1 makes no difference. If the Swedes had given up and "accepted Canada's victory", then they would have has something to be embarrassed about.

Body type descriptions

To me, the purpose of the information we put on our profiles is to give others what they need to decide if we are a match. Everyone has preferences. Tall or short, fat or thin, smoking or non-smoking.
I think some people look at this as advertising to try to get the most responses. I preferred to be honest because I didn't want to waste my time meeting women who were not looking for someone like me. If a woman wanted someone tall or thin or without facial hair or with a full head of hair, why would I lie and post 10 year old pictures and list my height as 6' when I am actually 5'8"? I also had a clear head shot and a full body shot on my profile. I could have misrepresented myself as thin or athletic, but the last thing I want to see on a coffee date is the look of disappointment on a woman's face when she doesn't see what I lead her to expect.
Besides, oops says I have the body of a god. Excuse my while I go and Google "Buddha".

What's love Got to do with it?
Posted:

Basically any two people can make a relationship good and right if they both want to.
That would not work for me. I don't see the point of having to make a relationship good. If the relationship is not great from the start, I would rather stay single and keep looking.
I also don't think a great relationship takes a lot of work. There will be times that you have to work through things as a couple, but if you are always "working on your relationship", why bother?
If your relationship is like playing golf, would you spend all of the time on the driving range working on your game or would you spend most of the time playing the course with an occasional trip to the range?

Municipalities to push for new infrastructure tax
Posted:

Municipalities already have the power to levy taxes. They want to brag about no tax increases, so they increase or implement fees. Now they want to add 1% to the sales tax and I'll bet, come election time, they will all be crowing about how thay haven't raised property taxes. If they had any balls, they would just raise the taxes and be honest about it.

If You Could Give ONE Piece of Advice to the Opp Sex.....
Posted:

I don't need advice or you to fix anything (giving unsolicited advice or blowing off my feelings is like waving a red flag.
When someone tells us about a problem they are having, we are wired to start looking for a solution. That's just what we do. Telling us a problem and expecting us to not try to solve it is like handing us a box of nails and then acting surprised when we start looking for the hammer.
If you want someone to listen and nod sympathetically, you are better off talking to one of your girlfriends.

I agree with deranged. If he/she tells you that your relationship is monogamous while he/she is seeing other people, you have a player.
You have to take the responsibility to have the monogamy talk. If you assume that you are monogamous, you may just be seeing what you want to see while the other person thinks you are casually dating.

If a police officer, with their training and generally decent physial fitness and a nightstick on his belt, decides he needs a gun or a taser to deal with a person threatening him with a knife, why should an unarmed civilian be expected to jump someone who is actually using a knife?
As others have said, the young man likely was dead before anyone could have intervened and, had someone been brave or foolish enough to jump in, we probably would have been mourning another death.

Posted:

Do both parties in a relationship have to take equal responsibility for its failure.?
IMHO, the point isn't deciding whose fault it is. The point is looking at what you did and deciding how you can change yourself so that your next relationship is better. It may be as simple as looking for signs you missed that you should have ended the relationship earlier or it may be that you can see how you could have handled things better. It's not about assigning blame.

When I joined POF, I was just out of a 10 year relationship. Since we had never lived together, technically I was divorced, but I was not ready to date. (I said that in my profile)

I was very impressed by Dinwiddie. The 450 passing yards is the highest so far this year and will probably make him the offensive player of the week. Bryant is doing a great job receiving and I can't see them sitting him out when Milt gets back.
The one worrying thing is the way Calgary marched down the field for the go ahead points. The defense needs to be able to stop that sort of thing when the game is on the line.

A ticket is either a winner or it isn't, so your odds are 50/50.
The "self check your tickets first" rule is probably to stop someone from asking you to check a bunch of tickets when there is a lineup at your till.

What do men want ????
Posted:

I agree with most of what RO is saying, especially the WTF moment of meeting someone who looks nothing like their pics or description. That behaviour doesn't deserve even the consideration of staying for a 10 minute coffee.
If you're "older", and all other things are equal, you're not going to generate as much interest as you would if you were "younger". And that's regardless of gender.
I know that this is not true for me. I don't feel that I would have enough in common with someone even 8 - 10 years younger than me to sustain a relationship. I was 52 when I joined the site and I set my search criteria to the 46-56 range.

What do men want ????
Posted:

and what are men looking for ..... a Barbie doll????
Every man has his own preferences, but I think the majority of men prefer women with slim to medium builds. In "Internet Dating Site language" most men will interpret a body type of a few extra pounds and no picture to mean a larger woman.
Physical attraction is important to most men. This is why we want to see a picture. There are other things we want, but if you are not attracted, there isn't going to be a romantic relationship.
Women have preferences, too. When I was looking, I saw profiles saying the women were not interested in men below a certain height, or men that are balding or have facial hair. There was even a post about a year ago from a woman who said don't bother contacting her unless your penis was in the top 10% in size.
Regarding the Baja get together, there were about 40-50 people there between 5:00 and 8:00 when we left. This is more of an after work thing and people either head home or to a bar later for the rest of the evening.
