Protein shakes ect..
Posted: 10/30/2009 7:36:49 PM
The best protein I have ever used is BSN syntha-6, comes in 9 flavours and mixes really well.

Heres my shake of choice..

-2 tsp of 100% natural peanut butter
-1 banana
-half dozen strawberries
-2 cups of vanilla yogert
-1 scoop of bsn protein
-250ml of skim milk
-1 cup of raw oats

It tastes unreal.. And do this twice daily and you are getting over 44g of protein. perfect for me.

What is your opinion of Kurdistan Iraq? I hear it is actually pretty safe there. They have the sixth largest oil deposit in the world and seem to be on there way to becoming somewhat normal with the new airport in Erbil and all.

Thoughts?

Veras win is a perfect example of a kickboxer vs just a boxer.. Vera picked him apart and KS couldnt do anything about it.

The only fights I got wrong were Leben and Nog.. The rest I was right on the money.

When you have one fighter going up against another fighter with a higher skillset and more tools to beat his opp it is almost allways a done deal. Perfect examples of this were the Marquardt and Vera fights.

I think AO would fit in very well with Detroit given the amount of Russian and other european players they have.

I wish Bolt would have ran all out at last years 100m final in the olympics. ..He kinda cruised the last 20m and STILL destroyed the WR.

If he would have ran all out he would have probably put that WR out of reach.

Look at what he did this year in Berlin! He shaved almost an entire tenth of a second off of his last WR in the 100m!!

All I can say is wow.

2. Encouragement of the progress, growth, or acceptance of something; furtherance.

I think Strikeforce will be good for overall mma, 2 good orgs in north america is better then 1 any day.

As of right now.. I believe this is the best list of champions the ufc has ever had. The only thing that would be better is switching Fedor for Brock as the ufc HW kingpin.

I wish Penn, GSP, and Anderson Silva would stay at their weight classes and just OWN. They all simply dominate, its quite a thing to see.

UFC fanboys are so f*cking annoying. Dont get me wrong.. I love the ufc, but for the love of god open your eyes to the world of mma if you claim to be true fans of the sport.

There is much much more out there then the ufc and its stable of fighters, I really dont understand all this Fedor hate.. The man has finished his last 7 fights with 6 of them in the 1st round and 3 of those were in under 2 mins!!

What more do you want!!! Like seriously. O lemme guess.. You want him to beat Champions to prove hes king right.. What.. 5 former UFC HW Champs isnt enough?

Or how about the fact that he has never lost any of the Championships that he has won and is the last Pride HW Champion with multiple defenses to his claim.

He has an official record of 30-1-1 NC with 21 1st round victorys. Yes thats 21.

So whats left... Well, go to Strikeforce fight 3 more top guys over the next 14 months ro so and continue to build his legacy as the greatest ever.

O... I forgot... He's "ducking" top guys tho... Hmm.. Someone better tell him that cause I think he missed the memo.

The bottom line is.. No one can even hold a candle to him. As the saying goes.. Once your at the top there is only one way to go... Well Fedor has seemingly been defying the odds for over 6 years. (when he won the pride hw title with a record of 13-1)

Lets see his 'biggest competition' Brock win another 9 straight fights giving him that 13-1 record to even be mentioned in the same breath as Fedor.

For now... Lets agree to disagree.

So Chad.. Why would Fedor sign with the UFC? To prove he is the best?? LMFAO. *Newsflash* He allready is the best!

As stated before it would be a lose-lose situation for him. If he beats Brock then ppl would say he beat a rookie in the sport, however if Brock were to win then all the Fedor haters would see he was allways overated.

This is mma and anything can happen, im not saying Fedor cant be beaten.. Although imo it has yet to be seen.

His signing with strikeforce is great. He will likely start his 3 fight contract sometime in the fall spanning a year or so. There are 3 good fights for him there, Overeem-Rogers-Werdum.

Like I said before lets see Brock and Fedor win their next 3 fights straight and set this mega fight up the right way.

I know Fedor can do it.. Can Brock??

Ummmm what did Fedor do to big dimmy that was so bad? ...Other then completely utterly DESTROY him in 36 seconds!

In all seriousness tho' Fedor did nothing wrong.. Its called finishing your opp. Fedor is a class act all the way and does not cheat nor does he need too.

You cant blame the man for making it very obvious he doesnt get paid by the hour!!!!

That reminds me... Fedor should be fighting again in the fall, I need a new stopwatch.

Biggest PPV draws in the ufc?

1-Lesnar
2-GSP
3-Liddell
4-Couture
5-Ortiz

Thats the way I see it there, with a lack of activity from Couture and Liddell you could put Ortiz in the 3rd spot.

Lemme ask you if you dont think Ortiz is that high up then whos a bigger draw?

Damn.. Silvas got some hard fights comin' up.. first Griffen at 205, then a rematch with Hendo at 185 for the title, then the winner of Maia/Marquardt gets a 185 title shot.

I think he only has 4 fights left on his ufc contract, which means he will prolly go out with a bang against either GSP at catchweight or another 205 superfight. Thats my guess.

Then its RJJ time!!!

Ortiz is still a top 5 ppv buyrate draw if not top 3 behind Lesnar and GSP. Like him or not he is a pioneer of the sport and I for one am glad to have him back. I saw his last fight live and can first hand vouch for his 'pop'

He puts many many asses in the seats and ppl tune in to see him win, lose, or draw.

None of this really matters now as Fedor just signed with Strikeforce. I think Dana is kind of funny how he talks shit about Fedor when he turned the ufc down the first time.. THEN offers him the biggest mma contract in history a few days ago.. Gets turned down again and talks more shit!! Grow up Dana. Even you know deep down that Fedor is the best.

Last I heard Fedor has 3 fights left on his M-1 contract so he may still sign with the ufc to finish his career in 2-3 years time.. If people want Brock vs Fedor so bad.. Lets see Brock go undefeated over that time and clean out the ufc HW div. As of right now he is still mainly hype imo.

I will agree that an accurate fast punch can be just as deadly as one with power. If Griffin can get Silva down tho I see Silva having problems here. Lutter and Hendo gave Silva a run for his money on the ground up until he subbed them both lol.

I cannot wait for this fight..

An Exercise Regimen to Reduce One's Body Fat Percentage?
Posted: 7/28/2009 12:07:29 PM
Bottom line is this.. Ive gone from an 18% BF down to 14.5% to most recently in the 12's. So what im doing is working for me. Like I said before I hope to be in the 10% range by years end.

I will agree with you that machines are not allways the most effective, this is why I change my workout routine every two weeks. Call it the poor mans muscle confusion.
The workout that I posted is my newest one.. And in two weeks I will change it again.

Any personal trainer that claims to know everything about everything is a douche. Im sorry but that is true. 90% of the PT I see have over developed arms and shoulders, and small legs.. I think its kind of funny for ppl to claim they know so much about the human body when doctors spend YEARS in school to learn a mere %. The bottom line is everyone will react different to different things and I know what is working for me.

"women numbers" ??
1. Lifting light weights has nothing to do with being male or female, sometimes I will lift a lighter weight and exhaust that muscle to the point where I cannot lift it anymore. It creates strength.

2. It doesnt really matter what the weight is.. With enough reps and sets you will experience muscle failure. ...Again building strength.

^ but youve gotta ask yourself.. If Rampage couldn't finish Forrest within 5 rounds can a smaller less powerful striker in Silva??

Silva has better striking then Rampage but there is no way he hits as hard. I dont see Silva using MT clinch either, forrest will be too big and strong for that. Forrest should win this via UD or split DEC with a good top game and enough ground and pound to keep the ref from standing it back up.

Overall - Penn
Cardio - Kenflo
Striking - Penn
Subs - Kenflo
Heart- Kenflo
Power -Penn

look into drnatura.com. ...Thats all I can say on internal cleansers, and yes they work.

However it is a known fact that the hardest places to lose bodyfat on the male body is over the abs and the 'love handles' thus these are the last ones to see results on.

Excercise Heart Rate Question
Posted: 7/15/2009 10:23:29 PM
The key with heart rates is, its not how fast it goes up.. Its how fast it comes down. If its at 180 and you can get it down to 150-140 fairly fast then you are in great shape.

A low 40's resting heart rate is elite conditioning. Very very few ppl can achieve this.

Lean mass gaining shakes pre and post workout

I think the best way to gain strength hands down is to use your own body as the weight.
Examples are: Chinups, pushups, situps. Boring as hell, but there is a reason why military forces have been training with these 3 exersizes as their core workout for over 100 years.

IMO to gain strength you do not even need to touch a weight. Master those 3, record your results and push yourself everytime to beat your PB.

My bodyfat is 14% right now and I still dont have defined abs. Dont feel bad, some ppl just have different body types. IMO I think a 10% body fat range is more accurate for actually starting to see the 'cuts'

A lot of ppl dont realize they have fairly defind abs.. They just have a layer of fat covering them. IMO the best way to lose body fat is diet. A VERY strict diet, lots and lots of water, and moderate cardio to start. Slow and steady wins the race.

Improving my mile and a half run
Posted: 7/15/2009 10:00:03 PM
My current best is a 7:45 for the Mile and 3:30 for the half-mile.

I recommend training like this..

Hills
Drills
Speed
Stretching

So only run 4 days a week.

-DAY1-Max the slope on a treadmill at a slow to medium speed and run one mile.
-DAY2-HIIT run one mile and vary your speed every 30secs-1min, towards the end really push your limits. The idea is to work your heart rate and stress it so to speak while then allowing it to recover. In time your body will actually be able to absorb more oxygen thus increasing your oxygen saturation (very good thing) and bumping up your overall conditioning.
-DAY3-This is gut check time, time to put up or shut up. The cramps (unless really bad) ignore them, no pain no gain, blast your fav 3 songs in your ipod and give it your all here. Run as fast as your can, but remember to pace yourself so you can do the entire distance. The juice is worth the squeeze.
-DAY4-No running. Stretch, stretch, stretch. Note your times from day 3 and try to beat them next week. Now its time to rest! ....Until next week! Good luck.

"Pro" wrestling is the biggest joke. Their belts arent real. And the fact that Brock noted his 3 wwe championships as legit in a recent interview made me LMFAO.

If he wants to get away from his "tough past" in the wwe then stop acting like a little b*tch.

He will go down in history as being one of the most classless champions of any sport. He could learn a thing or two from guys like GSP, A.Silva, and Machida who are all current champs and class acts.

The good thing is.. If Alves misses weight the title wont be on the line, and will prolly have to give some of his money to George.
