How long does it take for you to let your s/o meet your kids?
Posted: 1/26/2009 5:50:19 PM | | I have 4 kids. My kids don't meet anyone right away. But they have met my 3 longer term s/o's. The one I thought I was going to marry decided after 6 months that he couldn't handle my kids. They have only met one more casual guy. I tell them that you need to meet many people to find the person who you want to spend your life with. I tell them never to settle. The important thing is not to let the s/o take on a parental role unless they are there for the long haul. I also think PDA's should be minimal around the kids until much later. Men shouldn't be paraded through their lives constantly but there is nothing wrong with kids learning that people can come and go in your life and you will survive and go on to love again. | | | |
