I think women can be just as rude as men. As long as you are polite to others, then nobody can ask for more. I make a valid point of always replying to messages I get even if it's just to say 'Thanks for the message, you seem really nice / you're not my type / sorry I'm not interested.'

This is where it gets complicated. The girl who started this all off in the first place i.e. the girl he was seeing - who suggested there was possibly more than friendship between us, knew our history 100%. That I can be assured of because he introduced the two of us and he made it clear to her what had gone on. But there is another twist because the girl/woman he was seeing - is married. I can't see why she would even think I was a threat because everything between me n him was long over before they had even started.

I have a friend who is a guy and we have been friends for ages. We had a sexual fling a while ago but remained very close friends. I have always tried being friends with his girlfriends and I have always succeeded in being polite and friendly with them. Recently an ex girlfriend of his implied to me that she thought he really liked me - in that sense. I called her crazy and forgot about it. Later I questioned him with regards to what she said and he denied it and said we were just friends. I naturally felt extremely relieved but then I feel like he started to ignore me. Since then I have hardly spoke to him, had text messages from him or any emails, until today when we finally spoke again and it was like exactly the same before? Like we were still best of friends even though I have hardly heard anything from him in months? I feel extremely confused about what has recently happened. Why has he not contacted me in all this time until today? When before all this happened we spoke every day several times a day?
