Is Anderson Silva the World's Best MMA Fighter?
Posted: 5/5/2009 3:20:58 AM
Post some.

Oh wait that's right.. and Frank Dux really went undefeated and dominated The Kumite.

Look I'm sure Lee could kick tons of ass. He was a trained fighter and in great physical condition. Something you have to understand though is that in most Traditional Martial Arts, a lot of it is hype. They give black belts to kids.

In BJJ, you're considered a "prodigy" like BJ Penn if you get it in three years. He was the fastest non-Brazilian to ever get a black belt. Most common people it can take like ten years.

So, what I'm saying is we don't know the skill level of people he may have fought. Of course this whole argument is sheer speculation and rhetoric unless we can start cloning we'll never know. At least from this point forward though we will have documented proof of fighters true capabilities and how they rank across the entire spectrum of martial arts.

Bruce Lee was awesome, but even someone who was a total scrub in the UFC is going to destroy a lot of the "black belts" and masters of traditional martial arts.

How do you handle suicide?
Posted: 5/5/2009 3:03:44 AM
I feel people have a right to their own destiny. However it's very near-sighted to end it all as you never know that tomorrow may have been the day that your life was wonderful again.

I've seen people who are always living in a state of pain, I wouldn't advise to them killing themselves but I try to be a little open minded.

I hold on to a very idealistic free-world. We're allowed to do extreme things like sky dive, or slowly poison ourselves with cancer inducing drugs, but we can't end our lives by direct choice? Seems a bit hypocritical.

I wouldn't mind seeing Bruce Lee in his prime fight Miguel Torres Lol.

I'd love to see if he could take him down and how Lee reacts to BJJ :)

WHAT IS THE PROBLEM WITH COUNTRY MUSIC?
Posted: 5/5/2009 2:50:16 AM
Everyone's taste is just subjective. That's why it's very important to have an understanding and general appreciation for everything out there that exists. We all may find our little niches to dig into and be happy.

I would be one of those people that just can't stand country. The whole attitude doesn't appeal to me. I'm a very liberal person, I grew up listening to progressive rock and heavy metal.

I like my music very complex and sophisticated, not simple and catchy. I like lyrics to read as being mind invoking, and not about day to day life experiences.

So I think just overall with country is that it's just not my culture. When I see people in cowboy hats, boots, and a big belt buckle it just looks like a goofy dated costume to me.

I'm not going to say anything to anyone about it though. If they've found what makes them happy then that's great, and I appreciate that others are different from me.

Fedor.

Anderson wouldn't go down into Thales guard, where as Fedor literally dove right into Nog's guard.

Record. Well Roundness. Domination. All points to Fedor.

Who likes SUBLIME here?
Posted: 5/3/2009 5:50:16 PM
Spent a lot of my childhood in So Cal, it's almost a must to like Sublime lol

Although my musical tastes have become much more complex as I've grown older, I still appreciate a lot of their music. I also appreciate the fact that almost any group of people I'm with, I can put on Sublime and everyone's okay with the music, be it rap people, punks, or metal heads.

Sublime, bringing everyone together :P
