I got a good chuckle about the aroused pc.....lol
My pc's are kinda in the dark ages...Win 95 and 98....Is there really any help for me? You would laugh your head off if I posted the specs of the computer I use to get online. I do have to say that it has been really good to me considering I paid 75 bucks for the entire system. It ain't fancy but it has been reliable. I am trying to figure out a way to get to the present day of pc's with out it costing me a fortune. All the pc's I see these days come with towers...my win 95 system is a tower and a nasty little admin password issue has really put a hold on it going anywhere. The 98 pc I use to get online is one of the flat desktop models...I wonder if the new parts these days will even adapt to my old dinosaur. Am I sol ?

Administrative password ?
Posted:
5/5/2006 9:05:36 PM
The windows 95 on this particular machine does need a administrative password to install software....if it didn't, I would not be asking for help......I do not get a error message.....just a message that I do not have administrative permission to continue with a install, and to log in with administrative password. I will do a search again tomorrow......Thanks for trying to help....It's late...

I can log on to this computer no problem. I have seen the enter password bs and I just hit cancel.....that is not the problem. I cannot load any kind of software. I get a error message of........."you do not have the administrative power to alter this operating system"....something along the lines of that......."please log in with administrative password to continue"....paraphrasing the message but that is basically what I am fighting. Its my Dad's old computer....not doing anything evil here.....lol....just trying to upgrade it a little bit....geez.......I guess I need to get my hands on a full blown Windows cd and blow the whole system out....who knew win95 was so important and secret.....good grief.....

Administrative password ?

Can I download this boot to a A drive disc? I had the 95 system online for about 10 minutes yesterday and it really struggled. I use juno as my isp and the system rejects the C disc for loading juno just like the 98 disc because of that stupid password. Thanks for the advice....I will see what I can do with this pc, it might just end up being a offline game player. It's a drag because it has more memory then the system that actually works. I have it set up as a learning project...lol Thanks again.

Administrative password ?

My father passed away several months ago and I recieved his old computer. It has windows 95 on it. I can't seem to do anything with it because of this administrative password that it has set in it. I did a quick restore which is suppose to basically restore it to how it came from the factory. The password is still there. I have a disc with a 98 upgrade on it but the system won't accept it. I have searched the web and the only advice I can get is......Don't forget this password....Can anyone offer any suggestions ? Microsoft won't even acknowledge that Win 95 ever existed. Thanks

do you cook from a recipe or just wing it?

The first time I make a recipe I will follow it. After that I just figure out if it's a keeper or not. If it's a keeper I will then wing it and experiment.

I like to make the watermelon baskets. You cut the top of the watermelon like a handle of a basket and keep the lower portion as the basket. Cut out the inner portion of watermelon into small chunks and put back into hollowed out melon. I also add cantelope, strawberries, grapes orange slices....etc. If you want to get fancy you can always use a melon baller. It is a little work but it really is pretty and healthy.

Looking for cheese twist recipe
Posted:
4/10/2006 2:57:28 PM
I got this recipe from another site, I have not tried it yet.
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup sifted flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
dash ground cayenne pepper
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1/2 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
1/3 cup cold water
PREPARATION:
Sift flour, salt, baking powder, and cayenne pepper into a medium mixing bowl. Cut in butter or margarine and cheese with a pastry cutter until mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle cold water over mixture; mix lightly with a fork until mixture holds together and leaves side of bowl. Roll out to a rectangle about 12x10 inches on a lightly floured board. Divide in half lengthwise, then cut crosswise into strips 1/2-inch wide. Lift strips carefully and twist gently. Place twists 1 inch apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 425° for 10 minutes, or until lightly browned. Carefully transfer cheese twists to wire racks to cool.

Yes.....Thank you Pablo. We use to go camping with a guy who had the whole set up for dutch oven cooking. I actually started started my own little set up, but never went to crazy. It did work great for those cornish game hens and cornbread.

It wasn't easy, but I once did cornish game hens on a spit over a hot coal bed. The set up was for the cast iron cooking (name escapes me). I did corn bread in a cast iron skillet and had brought a salad in a cooler and wrapped soaked corn on the cob in foal on the coals directly. It was pretty darn good but not easy. I sure miss camping.

Amazing Mac And Cheese

I love mac and cheese. I have gone on several tangents trying to find he best. It's been awhile since I have made any but I think it was Micheal Jordon's mothers recipe that ended up being the winner. I also searched for a white mac and cheese like a old friend use to make, but never did find what I wanted and cannot find my old friend. Thanks for the recipe.

Did you ever think about any other scenario than you just being screwed over??? Didn't think so. Maybe she is having computer problems or maybe some trouble with her family? I had a family tragedy last week and basically just sat in front of the pc like a zombie. I read my mail and messages but just did not want to talk to anyone. If grieving the death of my father makes me rude becuz I didn't respond to others......than I am rude. Maybe you should think about someone other than yourself before you have a tizzy fit. Good Grief...it hasn't even been 24 hours yet.

Hey no reason to be so snarky. I wasn't trying to sneak in anything. Read Genesis 1.26 -27. It says that God created man and woman on the 6th day. I apologize if I have offended you but thats what the good book says.....if you can't handle it thats your problem. I believed that Adam and Eve were the 1st people created by God for 30 + years. It's just not true. No reason to get so nasty because someone doesn't agree with you.....take a pill

The other people? Adam and Eve were not the 1st people on earth. God created man and woman of all races on the 6th day. Adam and Eve were created on the 8th day and would be the bloodline for Jesus Christ.

How to deal with a compulsive liar?!
Posted:
2/9/2006 8:29:24 AM
I agree with the other responses......run away as fast as you can. I was married to a pathological lier. It is like a sickness where they just can't seem to help themselves. They lie over nothing and everything. I wish I would of listened to my gut when things just didn't add up...I couldn't figure out why someone would lie over silly things... from what I have read it really is a waste of time to try and change them. Trust will always be a issue and if you can't trust your mate you will have a lousy relationship. Run away.

To laurel...I do a bible study that teaches the bible book by book....verse by verse. We are all allowed to come to our own conclusions about what is meant by what is written. Some suggestions are put out in this study but always followed by.......read the bible and ask God for guidence for the truth. Thats what I do. I have heard and seen some crazy stuff in my search for God. I am very leary about what man has to say so I follow up and read the good book and ask God. There are some scary ignorant people out there who claim to know it all......no one knows it all. I think I am on the right path...and when someone speaks a flat out lie about God, I walk away.

I have said my beliefs about the 1st earth age here several times and I just get laughed at. But here goes. I believe in 3 earth ages, we are on the second. The 1st had dinosaurs ..lol...and spiritual men..this is where satan decided he wanted to sit on mercy seat, not protect it. A third of God's children followed him. Instead of destroying his kids God destroyed that age and brought us all back in flesh,no spiritual powers, to have free will. Esau did not love God in the 1st age. It doesn't mean he is sentenced to hell but God knew him before he was even born. Esau did not care about his heritage in this earth age...sold it for a bowl of mush...and he did not care about it in the 1st earth age...and that heritage was God. Thats what I believe.

I have never heard of Dakes bible? I have about 6 different bibles and not one of them says apple in it. And the eating of the fruit is just a metaphor. Metaphors are used all thru the bible. Eating of the forbidden fruit is not eating fruit literally...it means you have followed satan...the serpent in the garden. I would check out the authority of how this bible was printed. Anyone can write their version of the bible. Most bibles have a long list of biblical authorities so you kinda know it isn't written by a quack. If you want to believe that mans original sin was eating a apple..go for it. Please read up further.

What gets me is that some religions still teach that the original sin was eating a apple. There is no apple in the Garden of Eden...the sin was not eating fruit. God did hate Esau....even tho he wasn't even born yet. It was because of what Esau did in the 1st earth age. That is kind of hard to teach children, especially if they were brought up believing in the apple story. It is still taught to this day but you won't find it in the bible.
