Question about updating profile
Posted: 8/20/2009 6:53:29 PM
"Gender
Age Between:
Country
Within:
First contact messages must be:
Allow a user to see that I viewed their profile: (HELP)

you should have same set up as this, with the option boxes in the spaces."

*****************

I have all those choices, with option boxes for each question except "within".

I give up. I guess if someone can message me back, I'll write the first message. That's the way it works out anyway. Thanks all.

Question about updating profile

I just downloaded and used Google Chrome to see if that helped. With no cookies and a fresh, never used browser, the problem is still there. All I can figure is my screen settings somehow crowd the box off the screen, but I reset my settings in control panel to every possible setting and the problem persists. I guess all that matters is that someone I contact will be able to message me back, since no one is going to message me first anyway.

Question about updating profile

Changing screen settings didn't help. I went all the way from the bottom to the top in the screen resolutions in Windows and it is still the same. Where I live is 150 miles from the next town of any size, so that makes this pretty much useless if my limit is locked in at 75. Now if I respond to someone's profile in that other town, will that person get my message? And can she message me back?

That's my problem. It says "within:" but there's no box to show the choices. The very next thing after "within" is "Allow a user to see". I am using a computer, not a smart phone or anything. Maybe if I fiddle around with the screen settings? This is the first site I've ever run across, and I've had this computer and screen for three years, that a settings box would just not be there.

Distance limit problem...

Sorry for the double post, I didn't see how to start a new thread until it was too late.

"the ability to change distance is there on my profile, it says within not limit."

??

I'm sorry, but I don't see anything that says "within not limit" on my profile. I see where it says "Live within 75 miles. (edit) " but when I click on "edit" it takes me to my incoming mail settings.

Directly under the age choices there is the word "limit:" but no little box to make any change. I have tried both Firefox and IE.

Distance limit problem...

For some reason my profile has a distance limit of 75 miles. I hit "edit" and it takes me to the mail settings which has no selection for changing or deleting the limit. The word "limit:" does appear on that page but there is no selection choice. I have tried both Firefox and IE with the same problem.

If I contact someone who is further away than 75 miles, will they get my message? If so, will they be able to respond?

In the latest version of Firefox there is no "clear private data" in Tools.

Question about updating profile
Posted: 8/20/2009 10:45:53 AM
For some reason there is a 75 mile limit on people who can contact me. Two questions -- I have tried to eliminate that limit but when I click on "edit" it takes me to the mail settings page and there is no place to change or delete the limit.

If I can't get rid of it, will messages that I send to someone farther than 75 miles away be delivered, and will they be able to message me back? Thanks.
