Questions w/no answers. How do I cope?

You say you're in counseling. Stay there and work these issues out with your therapist. As for the money, either get a lawyer or research what it would take to get her into small claims court and sue for breach of contract. She owes you money and obviously is not going to pay it back if she can help it. Make it so she HAS to pay it back or face some kind of punishment. It's tough to be in this kind of situation. All I can say is sometimes you have to fight for what is yours. As for the woman, at the least she's totally insensitive, at worst she's got some major issues going on in her own life that you don't need to deal with.

crayonzz, I think all the women on here were also telling Andrew to run as fast as he could away from this person and the situation. Most women have had something like this happen to us at one time or another so we are in complete sympathy with Andrew. No one wants to deal with a psycho, male or female.

I usually date small, thin women, but I'm really attracted to YOU!

Well, I've had the same thing said to me as well as the "I'm actually more attracted to much taller women" or "If you gained 20 pounds you'd be perfect" (when I was 90 pounds). I've also had a guy tell me that he was totally attracted by thin, small, nervous women, but that he liked the way I "felt". I wasn't sure if I should be insulted or complimented on that one. Oh, and yes, I'm very short, under 5 feet but definitely not thin nor am I the nervous type.
I think men say things like that without thinking. If he's apologized and tried to make you feel better, let it go and just enjoy being with him.
