Another good place to meet people is on meetup dot com. I joined a few divorce support/single parent socializing groups and it has helped a lot. I don't feel isolated anymore, not the only divorcee in the world. :) Even without the dating part of it, it's nice to meet people with similar issues, like raising two children as a single Mom. Good luck, I hope you find what you are looking for!

I just turned 39 and I feel fabuous! Age is just a number...not something I dwell on or cry about. I'm loving life right now. I'm happy to be my age and where I am in life. While I wouldn't mind dating someone in his thirties or early fourties, I do think 20's are too young and fifties are too old for me. :)

To be honest, I would be very happy to be dating someone who was five years younger than me. I wouldn't care if you looked young- i look very young myself. Most people that meet me are shocked to find out that I am 38...I have had people guess as young as 27 recently (yay me!) Love it! My ex husband was 7 years older than me and we were together for 17 years. Life is too short to put a number on things. Please tell her to go out on a date with you and give it a shot. Honestly what do you have to loose? Or does she? Good luck!

i know what u mean...just finished up a divorce myself about 9 months ago and am/was very excited to meet new people... hee hee...working as a bartender did not help either- the bar i was working at at the time was a real pick up bar. there were many times i was tempted by a young 21 year old guy in heat but managed to restrain myself...i almost feel bad for the guy i finally do sleep with because he will be going nowhere for hours and hours and hours...lol!

I have a 4 year old and a 6 year old and if I found out they were "driving" the car I would freak out too. It is against the law for a child to be riding in the front of the car, never mind steering...good luck

I have had some bad experiences with the cam myself, lol and some good ones. i like seeing the people i'm talking too- it's nice to see their reactions to something i type. Like if they smile or laugh. It's also nice to see that their picture is not from ten years ago lol....

i don't always get e response when i email people...try not to take it personally- i don't! i try to respond to everyone, but sometimes i fall behind.....and i still have yet to find my fish - lol - it's about quality, not quantity! keep fishing and u will get there- good luck!

i agree with everyone- it is tough to juggle everything and still have your cake and eat it too - lol! However, once you feel a bit more settled and a bit less in survival mode you will find that those feelings come back with a vengance! it helps to join a single parent group- a safe place to vent if needed- good luck with your beautiful children!

we have a rule in our house that anyone who says a naughty word has to go into timeout, even me. (i taught them to say dammit by accident- oops, my bad!) So we all work on it together and none of us, including me say dammit anymore. They think it's really funny if i slip up and have to go into timeout...
