Would you read a book about your life?
Posted: 3/21/2013 5:37:34 PM
I would read it, to the end. Nothing in my life has gone to plan yet, so why should it start following someone else's plan now?

Eliminating currency exchange rate fees...
Posted: 7/17/2011 7:01:48 PM
I've been told that the casinos will exchange foreign money for local currency with no extra charges. Just the current exchange rate.
While they want you to stay and play, they won't force you to. I only have experience with Australian Casinos in major centres.
Just using the ATM and withdrawing money from your own account worked when I was in Europe needing Euros from my Australian dollar bank account.

How to explain that you aren't into texting?
Posted: 3/2/2010 10:40:04 PM
Texting is just another way to communucate. In its place its a great way to tease.
I would much rather talk and hear their voice though.
If the other person doesn't consider your wants and likes, are they worth a friendship?
Of course, you also consider their wants and likes.

Travel north west to Kununurra.
Posted: 1/4/2009 4:53:01 PM
Thanks djm. I will be sticking to the main highway, atleast until I see an interesting side road. I've been on the beach quite a bit, so if the Plenty has lots of sand, I'll be sure to take a set of "MaxTrax" along. I think waiting for the next car to pull me out might take a long time.

Moiraine, that's a long drive you have planned. For me I'd rather do that over 4 or 6 months, so I could stop off and explore all the wonderful places you'll be driving by.
I've hitch-hiked from Cairns to Sydney in one week. But if I was driving, I would want to stop and explore very often. Only driving south 2 hours each day, and driving east and west exploring for the other 22hours.

Check out the tourist agencies, and also RACQ and NRMA web sites. They all have heaps of travel information.

Have a wonderful trip in 2009.

You Know Its Over When...
Posted: 12/28/2008 3:45:33 PM
When every touch is followed by the words "Don't touch me I'm sleeping."
When weekend trips away always end with a mad dash home to get the washing done.

And it's really over, when I fake the orgasm so She rolls over and leaves me alone.

To all the people I know who tell me Horoscopes are all crap, Why do I identify so strongly with the Cancer one, and not with the others?
I've never met you, but you've got my Cancerous personality down to a T.

Now I just need a pair of nipples I can lick, nibble and tickle. Preferably attached to lovable woman with a cute personality.

2009 Vacation to Europe

I was 39 when I went. Youth Hostel Association International usually has no age limit.
Although in Munich, where they do, a fee of under 10Euros waived it for me.

Go and have a great time.

Just a bump to get this readable again.

I'm looking at stops at Carnarvon Gorge, Emerald, Longreach, Winton and dinosaurs, Diamantina Lakes, Boulia, Alice Springs and Uluru etc. Then on to Kununurra.

Any single ladies considering a driving holiday in the New Year? Sorry guys, I am sexist.

Even just some advice if you've been over there before would be gratefully received.

2009 Vacation to Europe
Posted: 12/19/2008 12:09:58 PM
In 2004 I had a family reunion in Germany.
I then spent 6 weeks travelling around Germany and Switzerland.
Get a Eurail pass (in your own country before you leave, They aren't available in Europe)
I bought one for 10 day travel over 2 months. The first conductor wrote in it, and no one else stamped it so I got 20 days travel.
Rather that go randomly, pick your dates and aim for specific places. Whether you get there or not is irrelevant. Be flexible.
I missed a train connection in Nerumberg, and spent three wonderful days in a castle.

The Alps was a must see for me. Went to St Moritz, then the Glacier express to Zermat and the Matterhorn. Consider joining YHA before you leave. It gives you access to many Youth Hostels. Cheap, clean accomodation, populated by people doing the same thing. Travelling Europe on the cheap.

Go and have a wonderful time.

Travel north west to Kununurra.
Posted: 12/19/2008 11:57:48 AM
Hi all.
I've just scored a job in the Kimberleys, have to be at Kununurra in April.

I've been up and down the east coast, but haven't been inland or west yet.

I'm driving over from Brisbane. Probably take a month to arrive. Still picking out the route? Any advice as to which way?

I'm considering Alice Springs, Uluru, Tanami road via Wolfe Creek Crater (saw the film)
Halls Creek and up to Kununurra.

What's before Alice Springs and a must see?

Very early in the planning stages still. Any advice greatfully recieved.

Thanks. Ricl from Kingaroy.

I looked it up only to be told there was "not enough data"? WTF????

I tried the "People I think are hot?" to be also told "Not enough data."

I think that South East Queensland Australia must be very short of women. Especially when you get outside Brisbane or Toowoomba.

Rape
Posted: 11/26/2008 2:12:33 AM
Message 30:- Yes, I think this should be reported.

I don't know if you can expect closure or even compensation, but by putting this crime on the public record, you tell people that they can't get away with this.

If the guys who did this 25 years ago now have families and kids themselves, then it should be made public. At least to those families.
It might stop their kids from repeating this treatment (or maybe their grandkids.)

If they are now a fine upstanding member of the community, and this was the only time they stuffed up in their life, they will get over it.
If they are now a fine upstanding member of the community, and this is the tip of the iceberg because they have a whole history of teating people this way, Then tell someone and let people know what this person is really like.

Its a tough call. what do other people think????

No love or no sex?......forever!
Posted: 11/25/2008 2:58:27 AM
I think the question is "What's more imortant? Sex or love???"

I lived for some years with sex but not love.
I'm now living with no sex and no love.

For me, I'm holding out for love.

But sex with just a little bit of companionship would be very welcome any time soon.

Why do women fell worthless after sex???
Posted: 11/25/2008 2:32:41 AM
Point 1 :- No one can make you feel worthless without your permission.

The self esteem your feel comes from inside yourself.
Other people can influence what / how you feel about yourself, but you DECIDE what you do feel.

If you do feel cheap, worthless or used after sex, then it is up to you to choose a better sex partner.

Next time, pick someone who makes you feel wanted, important, sexy, valuable, etc.
Never go to bed with someone who picks you just because you are available.

I have no idea about the details of this case.

However, if it happened over 20 years ago, what do you hope to gain by airing all the facts now?

While there is no "Statute of limitations" (is this an Australian term???) for murder or violent sexual assault, If there was no violence, is it worth pursuing in the courts?

Beach attire.
Posted: 11/22/2008 6:14:52 AM
I rarely use sunblock. I spent several years on a farm and never used sunblock and never burnt. Just tanned all over. Now I work under flourescent lights, and burn whenever I get in the sun. I live in Queensland, inland.
My son lives in NSW, inland. Wears jeans always, never shorts, and rarely tans or gets sun exposure. He thinks tanned skin equals skin cancer.
I think tanned skin equals healthy outdoorsy people.
At the beach, I wear as little as possible / legal.
My son remains covered from the sun.

What's right? Buggered if I know, but I'm healthy and outdoorsy.
Now I just need a healthy outdoorsy girl to agree with me.

My son can get his own girlfriend.

The final question re: peeing in the ocean? Well fish do it, why can't I???

Why do men want to finger your behind?
Posted: 11/15/2008 5:09:46 AM
Well full anal sex always reminds me of the little Dutch boy with his finger in the dike (the wall of a canal) and I do not want to cause a flood in my bed.

However, after we'd both showered and were both feeling clean and wholesome, a little exploration with my fingers and tounge was well received.

Do we attract people of the same level of attractiveness or style of appearance?
Posted: 11/13/2008 3:22:49 PM
Well persoanlly, I've always been attracted to slim, beautiful women. Then reality (my thoughts) would click in and I'd think "She's out of your class. Pick someone uglier."

Now I'm confident enough to realise I am attractive (and had enough knockbacks that more don't matter) so I do approach the beautiful ladies. Occasionally I don't get slapped or ignored.

What is attractive to all of us, is someone that wants to be with you. And how do you find out that, unless you let them know that you would like to be with them???

60 minutes.......... 20kg car?????
Posted: 11/10/2008 5:00:49 AM
I agree Chemistry. The thread title intrigued me.

However, I don't think it matters what car people drive when they start.
They need to be taught to be responsibe for everything that happens when they are behind the wheel.
But this goes without saying. It is the fundamental difference between a teenager and an adult.
Unfortunately, too many adults are so lacking in responsibilty that whereever they are in life, what ever happens is someone elses fault.

We can't (or at least haven't) legislate responsibility. We used to be a responsible nation.

Remember as a kid? If you stayed out past dark, you got a swift kick up the backside and no dinner. If you wagged school, you got in trouble from the teacher, your parents, your parents mates down the street who saw you, etc.

How can we as a nation instill responsibility back into our youngsters????

I'd love to here some input.

What is your definition of local?
Posted: 11/10/2008 4:35:05 AM
No Rob. There are many others here too. Trouble is they only want to stay local.

Many women say they love travel, but when you show an interest they say "sorry, you live too far away."

With the internet I can now contact people from all over the world. How many Russian ladies have said they are coming over here to meet you?

Trouble is I want one I can visit by driving to. My car doesn't like salt water, and certainly not when its deeper than the bonnet.

For the last 2 months I've made a point of sending a nicely worded message to women on here. trying for 3-5 a week. I include a bunch of flowers with each one.
I've had 5 ladies thank me for the flowers. May be 12 out of 35 actually did answer. Some to say they've met someone else, some to say thanks for the interest but I think your ugly (they did say this politely though). The remainder did read my message but never answered.

Oh well. We're all beautiful inside. I'll just keep on fishing. Plenty of time left.

It depends on how long ago the last date was.

If only last week, then local is within half hours drive.
If the last date was a month ago, local stretches to 3 hours drive.

For me, if I can get there for a weekend, that's local enough. Even if I have to leave Friday morning and get back Monday night.

That's ^^^^^^^ certainly true.
Rather than a shottie or nun-chucks, I get all the kids from the neighborhood to stick their head in at the cafe to "vet" my new potential date. Works a treat.
I've been saved from many potential wierdos who all spooked and ran. One held out a bit longer, but kid number 11 was 6foot tall, covered in bikers tats, and he saved me from god knows what.

Can't be too careful I always say.

People who just write how are you
Posted: 10/29/2008 9:56:09 PM
Are we talking about using the generic title "Hi, how are you?" only, with no further words or messages? Or are people using the generic title "Hi, how are you?" then writing a short message to someone???

Sometimes when I look up a ladies profile, I go blank trying to say something witty in the title, so I use the generic "Hi, how are you?". But I then always include a few sentences about why that particular profile interested me.
Sometimes (rarely) I even get a response. If guys are actually getting responses to an e-mail just saying "Hi how are you?", then maybe I'm putting too much effort in.

Then again, maybe I should try using Brad Pitt's photo, cause mine soesn't seem to be working.

Can you SMS your Way to Infidelity ?
Posted: 10/27/2008 4:27:32 PM
The answer here is definately YES. Just as you can e-mail, cyber chat, meet at the gym, gorcery store or any thing else to infidelity.

A relationship needs communication and trust if it's going to work long term.

I see nothing wrong with me, or my partner, flirting with someone at work, on the phone, or at a dance; because me and my partner know that we are going home together.
If you can't trust your partner out of your sight, why stay with them?

Maybe that's why I'm single, again.

So , Are we Racist ?
Posted: 10/27/2008 4:01:39 PM
Of course we are. And so is everyone else.
When we meet different people on an individual basis, we are open to forming a new opinion of that person based on how they come across.
However, when a large group of different people confront us, we are racist. Even if we then hide it behind bravado and welcoming gestures.

Being racist does not mean we can't behave civilised and peaceful. But we would all prefer to belong to the majority.

What makes a good profile and what not to write?
Posted: 10/27/2008 3:51:01 PM
I agree with Bionic Angel. A Profile is just an introduction listing your good points and deal breakers you have. You have to meet face to face to form a real impression.

Also Goddess of Dreams wrote - " If you have to think hard what to write then you are writing about someone else."

Just write what you enjoy doing, how you feel about certain subjects, and get out there meeting people.

But what do I know???? I haven't got one unsolicited invite yet???

If it was possible, would you?
Posted: 10/27/2008 3:36:58 PM
For me NO. I'd have to remember the wrotten happenings first to delete them.

I've done many things, had some wonderful times, and some god awful times. But even the woeful times had good instances in them, and those I remember.

A camping weekend when it rained solid all weekend till we packed up Monday morning. The tent collapsed, food got soaked, 4 people sleeping in a two door corolla, last time my ex-wife went camping. But Monday mornings sunrise was beautiful.
I remember the sunrise vividly, and only the fact that we got rained out.
My ex remembers vividly being wet, cold, uncomfortable, etc Which is why shes now ex.

Why spend brain cells on remembering roten times / event?

Life is short enough. Just enjoy it.

Don't Worry, Be Happy.......or at least Content !!!
Posted: 10/20/2008 5:34:00 AM
I was content with my ex-wife. Went to work, paid the bills, fed the kids and kept everyone safe. But after many years of this and nothing else, and a wife saying "get used to being old, this is good" I realised that contentment was NOT happiness.

I'm now single, again, content in that the bills are paid and my bed is weatherproof and I have enough food. I'm definately not happy, but am content to keep on quietly fishing (and hoping .... and waiting.....)

Sex-Positive or Sex-Negative?
Posted: 10/13/2008 1:55:59 PM
God's plan may have been perfect.
But because it was given verbally over 2000 years ago, do you think we know exactly what it was?
As long as people use sex to control other people, they corrupt it.
I don't need marriage to make sex meaningful or enjoyable. However, I much prefer a relationship with that woman.
Sex has been used for centuries to control people. Think of female circumcision, the way arab women are not allowed to be seen by other men, and how much guilt is put on catholic men and women for actually enjoying sex?

Sex is there to be enjoyed. Yell out your orgasms and let the neighbors know you are enjoying them. Just don't let every Tom,****or Harry give them to you. Be discret and pick one of them.

I'm sure we all don't expect everyone to think we are their type.

However, the longer we wait for the person who is "our type", the more we would like somone to say, "while I don't think you are my type 100percent, you do fit 75percent so lets say hello????"

Remember the old song...."If you can't be with who you love.....
....then love the one your with...."

People who just write how are you
Posted: 10/4/2008 12:48:45 AM
Occasionally I have sent a message just saying "Hi, how are you?" but that is because I hit the enter key after the subject line, and the message went through before I added anything else.
Other times, I look at the photo, read the profile, and go blank about what interesting thing to say???
I make a point of personalising every introductory message I send, but maybe I should just use a standard "Hi, how are you. Want to come for a picnic???"
It will be quicker, easier, and probably get exactly the same response.

Nnaahhhh!!!! That would be me giving up and admitting there's no interesting women on here. I know they are here...... they have to be....... Somewhere???????

Hi Hoosierlady,

Just take it easy with him. Keep dating him, spend time and do things with him.
Let him have his time to sort out his financial problems. Don't offer to bail him out of them. Offer him advice, as a friend, just leting him know what options he has. Don't try to take over and solve his problem. Just let him know you you care about him, that you don't think his problems are life threatening, and you are willing to help.

Be a friend, and give him space.

Do you have too many requirements for meeting someone new?
Posted: 9/11/2008 2:23:32 PM
Musicwoman, What are you trying to say?
You start off saying "Most men are looking for the Physical attraction,..."
and finish saying "I would be kidding myself if I said looks didn't play some part!"

We ALL (both sexes) go by looks first. There has to be some attraction/chemistry between both people. Then, through conversation, we determine if that chemistry was just superficicial or could possibly be something more.

Everyone has different physical attributes they are attractied to. Thank god!!!
Most of us are also after non-physical attributes, like whether she can change a tyre, is willing to eat what I cook, And smiles because I walk into the room.

Happy Fishing everyone.

There are fish out there....somewhere.....patiently waiting.....aren't you??????

Do you have too many requirements for meeting someone new?
Posted: 8/27/2008 5:53:51 AM
I'm sure we ALL have a list of requirements our next partner should meet.
And depending on how long ago the last partner was, determines how long that list is.
When we meet someone, we go through that list ticking off the boxes, and the last one is "must say yes to me".
As long as the last one is ticked, the others are all negotiable.

Night owl and early bird: doomed?

Not neccesarily. My last partner wanted to sleep in, while I get up with the sun. Trouble was that's all my partner wanted to do. Just sleep her whole life away.
As long as the earlybird and the nightowl still get plenty of together time, when you are sharing what and when you do things, It can work.
I'd prefer a girl who is also an earlybird, but the most important thing is a girl who "likes" me for who I am, and likes to be with me doing things "we" like doing.

I thought I'd never get married again, but now I realise I might, for the right girl.
I have a better idea of what "right" means now.
Doesn't mean the next one will be perfect, but I will be a lot choosier now.

Where would you rather have sex in a public place or in the bedroom

Sex in private is good. You can take all day to enjoy it.
BUT Sex in public adds so much spice. the thrill of maybe getting caught.

Like in the middle of the park in the middle of town. Keeping quiet because you know people are walking nearby, but if you continue you just know that she is going to have to make a noise very very soon.

It all adds variety to this boring life we lead.

Who lacks Actual/Real-life Experience about ‘Dating’ whether on the Internet and In-person? ? ?

Hi Letchat,
Start replying on the Forums. It will let people see what you think about various topics, and will also get you in the habit of talking, putting your thoughts into words.
Also, look at events that are organized locally to you. See if any look interesting, and go on them. You will meet some friendly people face to face, and start communicating / flirting with them. If you really burn out, it does not matter because they will soon know you are trying and you'll probably never meet them again.

Just get out there and meet people.
Rick.

I like the toilet paper made from "recyclable" paper. NOT "recycled" paper.
Are you going to collect it?

And the water made from "500 year old glacial water" with a use by date of next month.

I remember early on I often got the big red warning
"STOP. You are NOT allowed to talk to ......... because you have been looking for sex, intimate encounters, etc."
I wondered , well, what male isn't?
I don't get this now. Don't know why. Maybe I'm only approaching women who are more open in their relationship ideals?

Anyway, don't worry. Just keep on fishing.
