Irish meade? Honey-wine? Recipie? Help!
Posted: 11/6/2007 2:47:16 AM
Oh... one more thing... I noticed that you're on the East Coast. The company that I used to work for was called Total Wine and More... and they have a few stores in your state. I'd Google it, see if one is close to you, and call them.

If they don't have it there is a good chance that they can order it for you. (We did special orders all the time.)

The owners are soulless jerks, but most of the people that run the stores are great.

You can find meade and honey wine at some large wine stores. That might be easier than making your own.

I used to work at the largest wine store in Maryland, and we had a few... of course, since you've already checked the outlets... maybe see if alcohol can be mailed in your neck of the woods and order online. A lot of companies allow you to order online... but some places have laws against shipping alcohol that go back to prohibition.

If it is legal, ordering online might be easier than making it at home.

How did you learn to cook?
Posted: 11/6/2007 2:41:30 AM
I learned to cook mostly by following directions. I asked questions of a few people I know. I still ask questions on the forums.

I learn something, then I experiment until I get it "right."

A new great sandwich

Let's keep it simple and traditional. Peanut butter & banana. Cut like a house.

I guess if you want to go really crazy you could substitute Eggo waffles for bread... and maybe add whipped cream.... but then you're better off just making breakfast.
