Thanks RLFish for the advice. We usually meet at the Cape VFW on Fridays about twice a month on Karaoke night. We always have fun! We got together a couple of weeks ago and 12 of us went out to BG's and had dinner and then went to a dance at the Cape VFW that the Parents Without partners was putting on. We ended up with about twice as many as what went out to dinner. I think we all had a good time. The drinks there are less expensive than in the bars around town and there's always room to sit and talk or dance. Some of our POF gang are good singers so they do karaoke too. There are motels close by too in case anyone needs a place to crash for the night. I know there are a lot of single people in our area that are on this site but I really don't know what they want unless they let me know. I do try to listen to the ones that show up and they keep coming and are always anxious to know when the next get toegther will be. I've even tried to get some of our regulars that have to travel for an hour oe longeer to host one in their area and we could go there but so far they just like to keep coming here to party. Thanks for the advice and it will be taken.

Hey there Ms Lookn4fun, When you're around, the party's always fun!! Looks like I'm going to have to drive 2 hours north to meet some new POF fishies . It looks like the ones down here are playing the games but not wanting to get caught. I'm still hosting the parties down here but it just isn't catching on for some reason. Guess not many people like to get out and party anymore! What's a gal to do? Oh well,you have a great time this weekend and think about me. I've decided to just stay home and put sealer on the grout on my new bathroom floor and shower. You would think a big,strong, man would offer to help now wouldn't you? Have fun and think about me all alone doing all this work!!

Shawn and redfire thanks for signing up to join us tonight. You will be glad you did!! This is an energetic ,fun,and friendly group of people. Some of us will be meeting at B.G.'s for dinner at 6:00 if you'd like to join us. After we eat,we will be heading to the Cape VFW for a night of dancing and having some good fun!! A word of caution: If you drink the Long Island Iced Teas, please have a designated driver there to escort you home or to the nearest motel!! We've already been through this once, haven't we Tina? I really don't know DingDong. Why don't you sign up and maybe some tall, younger men will do the same. We all have fun and dance with each other regardless of age or heighth. Try it and you might like it!!

Scott, you make the second person to cancel out on us tonight. I'm sorry you and your kids are feeling bad. Hope you are back feeling great again real soon. We need to all get together again before you head back out to the job. I have had both my regular flu and H1N1 shots this week. Hopefully,knock on wood, I don't get either of them. I have started a volunteer job at the hospital in Sikeston 1 day a week and I sure hope the germs don't attack me there! Take care and know that you will sure be missed tonight!

Not meaning to brag or anything imnofool, we are a pretty good bunch of people. We are a mixture of all different ages but we all seem to get along just fine. We have a great time together and just enjoy the time we have with each other. I don't think any of us knew each other before we started coming to the dances a couple of months ago. We have bonded into a good group of people and I would trust any of them with my life. I have good friends from years ago that are not closer to me than some of the people I have met here. We are going to meet for dinner at B.G.'s at 6:00 before going to the dance. Hope you will meet us for dinner too. It will give you a chance to get to know some of us outside of the dance. We are all just plain everyday people with a common goal. Here's my cell number if you'd like to call and chat before you come over tonight. Tim if you'd rather buy then that will work for me just fine.lol Glad you are coming. We all missed you at the last dance. Me,Tina, Angel and Josh all went out for a real early breakfast. All us girls had Halloween boas around our necks made out of the table decorations. Don't ask me why. It was funny at the time but I guess you just had to be there to be amused! lol I hope you guys are all good at consoling!! I have had a horrible week and need all the TLC I can find. I am once again a single woman on the prowl so look out!! Actually a hug would be real nice!

If anyone would like to meet for dinner before the dance, we will be going to B.G.'s in Cape. It's on William Street across from the Town Plaza Shopping Center. It's right next to Hardees on the right side of the street. Hope you will all come start the party there with us!! Sorry I've been slacking on my host duties everyone. I was in Nashville with my friend Joe for surgery. His surgery was canceled at the last miniute before surgery because his blood was too thin and they feared he may loose too much blood to be safe. His surgery has been rescheduled for the week of Thanksgiving. Through all this he has decided that we should just be friends, so that's what we will be doing. It's drained me emotionally this week but I'm going to put on a smiling face and be ready to party tomorrow night. I need to be with friends that actually want me with them!! I will have a new profile up as soon as I can get it done too. Please pray for my friend Joe. He is a good man that is having a tough time of it right now........Kathie

There's only 8 days left before the big dance and there's only 7 of us signed up so far. We need 13 more to sign up. Just go to the forums and then to MO events. You will find it there. OR just look for the upoming events on the page with all your mail and it should be there. Click on it and it should lead you to the dance . I will make any guy that shows up an offer!! I will give you each a hug and maybe even a kiss on the cheek when you get there!! Please sign up!! Hey Tim. I'm glad you signed up for the dance! It sounds like this will be a real fun time with the live music. I heard they are really a good 50's /60's band. Just found out there will be a 50's-60's type band called Decade playing at the Cape VFW on Saturday, November 14. There's a $6.00 cover charge. Sounds like a blast to me!! Come and join me!! The Cape VFW is located on N. Kingshighway in Cape Girardeau,MO.

I almost forgot !! Who is going to be hosting the next dance? Just need to talk to Pete Rhodes the manager of the VFW and he will let you know what nights are available. this will be the last one I will be hosting. I will try to come to the dances if I am in town but with going to Memphis and Nashville with Joe, it's sort of difficult to fit both of them in on the weekends. Sorry guys!! He just called me a few minutes ago and with the work he has to do tomorrow he is doubtful that he will be up this weekend. I guess we will have to dance together unless some of the other men will ask us to dance with them. I have to limit my wine since I have no DD to chauffeur me home this time. I'm not wearing a costume but I don't know about the others. I guess if anyone will be wearing a costume they may want to let the rest of us know. You can bring treats to set out on the tables to share if you want but you don't have to. It will be good to have a new friend there too. Glad you are going to be coming to join us.

Glad to see everyone finally getting signed up. Yes we do have a good time at the get togethers! Some of us are able to stand up by the time the dances are over and some of us are not!! Right Tina? I'm not sure if Joe will be up this weekend for the dance or not. We have been gone to Savanna,GA since the 14th and I just got back home late last night. He might need a weekend to recover from being with me for so many days!! I will be there at the dance regardless. We are going to probably need to set some dates for the next couple of dances and discuss them when we see each other Friday night. I would appreciate it if someone would take over for me please. Since I'm seeing Joe now, there are times when I will be going to see him and save him from doing all the traveling. So this will probably be the last dance that I will be setting up. Anyone with a computer can do it! Believe me,you don't have to be a computer genius to be able to do this. I will show you how the first time and then you will be able to do it yourselves after that. I will be checking you out occasionally though and coming to some of the get togethers still. You will probably see me single again, by the way my luck usually runs. Talk to you all on Friday!!

WELCOME sweet1semo. I think this is your first time to join us for our dance get togethers isnt it? We're glad to have you joining us! Bring some of your friends with you. We love to have new people join us. The public is invited to the dances so tell friends even if they aren't on POF to come on over and have some fun! There have been a few of the people that have made it to all the get togethers so far. If anyone wants to go out for an early breakfast afterwards maybe we can plan on that too. I guess it all depends on how much partying we do!! Right Tina? You will never live that one down girl!! Finally I've met a gal that does silly things like me!! Just kidding ya Tina!

Hey there fishies!! It looks like we're going to have to get in touch with all our friends and remind them to sign up for this dance. It takes 20 signed up people before I can send out a mass email to remind everyone about the event. I need your help please! So send emails to all your interet friends ad POF buddies and tell them to sign up. There are always several that don't sign up anyway so we have a nice group each time. It's just good to send out the memo in case someone misses the forum. Come on out and lets meet,greet, dance and have some fun!!
