message won't send
Posted: 8/22/2007 12:43:53 PM
I am having exactly the same problem.

I have checked the user's account... no restrictions, yet after hitting send the three messages I attempted to send do not show up in "sent msg".

The messages don't have website addresses, they are not "copy and paste", there is no profanity, etc. per the FAQ for what may be causing this to happen.

I only noticed it today, so there could have been any number of messages I've sent that are not being received.

The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man.

Can you re-take the Personality test?
Posted: 7/30/2007 11:34:22 AM
You and some others seem to hold a very strong opinion that the results of these tests should be considered to be "written in stone" and that re-taking the test is wrong or "cheating". Respectfully, I believe the results of these tests will change depending on how we feel about ourselves and others at the point in time that the test is taken.

I would like to suggest that (for example) a person who is fresh out of a bad relationship and is still bitter and angry will not have the same results as they would have before that relationship began or later on when they get over the hurt.

For myself, if I was ever the sort of person that used to desire signs of affection through gifts over physical contact I certainly don't feel that way now.

People change.

If it is true that honestly taking the tests again would always yield the same results, then what harm is there in "confirming" it by re-taking the tests?

On the other hand, "cheaters" who are determined to fudge the results are only hurting themselves since (presumably) it's what people write (and their pictures) that most people (hopefully) base their decisions about who to contact... at least I certainly hope that's the case and that people aren't going strictly by the compatibility score while ignoring what others write in their profiles.
