Long vs short hair
Posted: 8/14/2009 3:58:51 AM
I had hair down to my butt most of my life, but cut it when I got into fire fighting and EMS (so much easier that way). I think why people (not just men here...) are more attracted to long hair is, if it is well maintained, it is beautiful. I could be biased here, and I probably am (my ma still has long hair to this day) but today it is more common for women to have shorter hair. Mine is just at my shoulders now and style-wise it is considered moderately long, I'm still confused by that. But everyone has their own preferences. I personally like my hair long, it can be a pain to take care of and expensive as well, but it's my vanity so I'll do it to feel good about my appearance.

Women with multiple cats - sign of mental illness?
Posted: 8/14/2009 2:28:45 AM
As of now, animals outnumber people in my apartment 3.5 : 1. Four cats and three hermit crabs. Admittedly I don't allow myself into pet shelters or stores anymore, but I don't regret my adoptions. I was raised with animals and the apartment doesn't feel like home without furry things greeting me when I get home. I love them and they love me unconditinally (even the crabs...). And to everyone who thinks I need a reason to have four cats, they are awfully entertaining. I love it when they try to be smooth walking along the edge of the tub while I'm showering only to fall in. I'm never cruel to my pets, but I do find their behavior funny, something like that usually makes my day. All that being said, I'm perfectly happy being crazy. But don't be naive thinking the felines induced my insanity, I've been unhinged my entire life and wouldn't have it any other way. I'm not saying everyone else has to like it, or even agree with it. If you don't like it, you don't have to. Neither you nor I are going to change, agree to disagree and go on with our lives, you being normal, me being me. Have a great day everyone, and happy fishing!

freinds with benefits relationships

I think what's being confused here is the difference between FWB and a FB. I've had a FWB, but what is very important is that we were, and still are, very good friends. There was a strong bond, but nothing romantic. It was understood that if either of us started seeing someone it would be broken off. What I see happening a lot, is many people (both women and men) go into a FWB relationship hoping or expecting it to turn into something more instead of just enjoying a physical relationship with a good friend. Even if a FWB doesn't work out, you're still left with a friend,
