Of course this will be fun. I mean come on, who goes to a party around St Louis and doesn't have fun. I know I plan on having a blast, but then with a new venue and a great band, it's going to be hard not to have a blast.

Big Chief is a 21 and over, non-smoking establishment

Sorry but this is a 21 and over establishment.

So how many people are going to be getting "dressed up" for this event, and what kind of attire are you wearing? I'm trying to decide if I need to leave my halo or my horns at home that evening.

Yeah, I can't wait for this party! I have been saying that the first weekend in December I am going out and partying all weekend........so maybe I might check into some area hotels to see what kind of discount we can get, even though I am only about 30 minutes from home, it's still nice if I don't have to drive after partying.

But if it makes you feel any better, I am deleting myself after this weekend's party, so don't worry, I won't be making that error again.

Halloween Costume Party at Hot Shots in Fenton 10/17/09 7:00 til close
Posted: 10/14/2009 10:17:39 AM
Hey all, sorry I have been MIA for awhile, been dealing with my sick father who has taken a turn for the worse. I am still hoping that things will be good with him so that I willl be able to stay at the party all night. I have already reserved my room at the Strat since I don't want to drink and drive and HotShots is just down the road. So now just waiting till Saturday night to party with all those that are looking at coming out and having a good time.

For those who think that it's a couples thing, the only way that it's a couple's thing is if you either bring your own date, or you meet up with one while there, which is the whole purpose of these parties, to get out and mingle amongst other singles and maybe find you someone of interest instead of sitting behind a computer all the time.

Happy fishing to all of you that will be there. There will be "Plenty of Fish" at the party!

Rhonda and Theresa would like to thank all those who came out and partied with us at Crazy Horse Saturday night. We had a great time and I hope all of you did as well.

Here is the place to upload your photos and talk about the party. Please keep in mind POF rules and standards, no nudies, etc.

If you have photos to share, send me an email or post on here and I will get you added.

Please refrain from posting until after the event!

Hugs,
Rhonda and Theresa

Well keep in mind, if you are a newbie and want to get first dibs on the guys/girls coming in the door, we still have 2 open door greeter positions. I have Marcia and Chaz down for door greeting............anyone else want to greet.

For those that have never been to a party before, the door greeters are just to have people that are with POF come in and get a name tag on so that they can take advantage of the drink specials (Rhonda and I will have the signs posted so that people know where to come in and get their name tags from). This venue is one that will only allow the POF members, if they have their name tag or hand stamped, to get the drink specials for the evening, so if you are planning on taking advantage of the drink specials, get your name tag and hand stamped.

The I just don't get it! thread!!
Posted: 9/25/2009 2:41:14 PM
I agree Sweet, It's really sad when the last party hosted by Kat at the Strat, all the funds went to Kat for her personal use, and now some of us try to host another party at the Strat and change a fee to cover the cost for 2 bands that are charging us to play that evening and we got that thread deleted as well as the hostess deleted. The Strat gives us use of a free ballroom, drink specials, and a free dinner buffet, as well as discounted rooms, can't expect them to cover the cost of the bands we want as well. It's sad that so many people have enjoyed coming to these POF parties at the Strat and yet we will still have the party, just not as a POF event.

Yet Kat was deleted and is still around hosting POF parties with other POF members. Guess they need to get some new moderators who know how to do their jobs! I'm just glad that there are others who feel the same way about this.

Yeah, some of these people (or person) who feel that their toes are being stepped on, need to get a life and once you get deleted from a site, it means that they don't want you back so stop coming back trying to stir up trouble.

But we have already lost Rhonda (yet again) and after this party on October 3rd, I am out of here. So the one or 2 hostesses left in the St Louis area can have full reins of all the parties.

So Crazy Horse will be my Farewell to POF party (this high school drama can go to the cats!)............anyone want to come out and party with me that night?

Sunday Sept 6th - The Big Easy Band
Posted: 9/5/2009 4:34:00 PM
Sunday afternoon, if anyone is interested:

Come out and join us on Sunday afternoon. A few of us gals, yeah guys are invited as well, are going to head over to St Paul picnic, which will have an AWESOME band (The Big Easy) playing from 6:30 - 10. If you want to get over there earlier they will have stuff going on all day.

Directions if you are interested:

Directions from St Charles:
Take I-70 to Hwy 79 North (Exit 220)
5.5 Miles to Hackmann Road. Follow Signs to Picnic grounds.

Directions from O'Fallon
Take Hwy K to M (Main St)
Left (west) on Hwy P. Follow the signs.

Let me know if you are interested so we know how many spots to save. You may want to bring lawn chairs just in case. They usually have a huge turnout.

If you go to Google, and type in St Paul Catholic church MO and then select Current News, it will bring up the flyer for this event.

I say let's introduce Skippy to a Wax Treatment Then you would be more than happy to shave that head every other day..........as opposed to getting hot wax put onto parts of your body and then a thin piece of clothed pressed down onto it..............and then RIPPED off so fast that you feel like they just took the top 3 layers of skin with it.

They were the kind that clings (green with yellow strips to be exact). But apparently the sherrif's dept said that he can do that, as long as he doesn't expose himself. WTF , why should little girls who are out riding their bikes even be subjected to that to begin with. But the deputy said that he would go by and talk to him, just as soon as he figures out what to say, besides "you moron, put some d*mn clothes on before you walk out your door you perv!"

Actually it is my front porch also, we share the porch, not that I like that part. But according to the landlady, there is no male that lives there, even though he has been living there since I moved in this place in December, so they may be doing a little digging into that now.

And I did end up calling the sherrif's dept today to have them send someone over to talk to him. I got home from taking my dad to the dr and he was standing up there again (at 10:30 this morning) in just his underwear. I even asked my dad if that is what I was seeing, and he was like Yeppers, and that is just disgusting.

I just don't get it how some people think that it is acceptable to stand out on their front porch in just their boxer briefs during the daylight hours. I called my landlord to see if there was anything she could do. The apartment manager and the owner asked if he was cute, of course I told her that if he was cute, I wouldn't have been calling her, I would have been calling all my girlfriends over for the show. But come on, is it really necessary to be standing outside at 2 in the afternoon in your underwear when there are little girls riding their bikes and scooters around the parking lot.

I posted about 65 pics so far from what I had on my digital, I have to drop off my waterproof camera (but I just took a few pics on that), but will be saving the other 125 (estimated) for Tuesday when I have the day off from work. I have to resize them to be much smaller before adding them on here so it's been an all evening project just on them 65.

I hope all you fishies that were not able to join us realize how much fun you missed out on and maybe now you will join us on our next fun filled float trip and piggie roast.

You know it's funny, some of these guys really do need to get over themselves. I got a voicemail from a ex on Friday and let me tell you, I had to save it so that my best friend could listen to it today when I got home from my float trip. Wow, we had such a blast laughing our arses to his message since she was the one that got me started referring to him as the teenage crisis hotline whenever he called my phone. It's funny, sometimes you see a side of them that only those who work with straight jackets see.

A huge round of applause goes out to Rhonda for getting with her friends at Indian Springs and getting this event planned with such an awesome package deal. U ROCK GIRLFRIEND!

OMG.........I did not realize that we were going to have “THAT MUCH FUN" this weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know I had a blast, and from all the folks that I talked to yesterday or today, they had just as much fun as Rhonda and I did. I got the pleasure to meet many new fishies, as well as hang out and have a great time with many fishies that I have known from past parties. Some of them fishies even as far away as Kentucky.

Friday afternoon/evening was really nice where everyone was able to sit around, relax and mingle with folks to get to know everyone. We had washers set up (which Chaz and I lost a game of washers to Nita and Lance, only because Nita kicks butt at washers!), shots of American Honey were passed around (Thanks Howard, too bad we lost there for awhile), lots to eat for dinner(thanks to those who cooked or brought any thing for the dinner), and lots of drinking and jello shots being passed around. We had a great turn out for the Friday night campfire and everyone got the chance to meet some of the newbies that showed up at the campfire as well. Saturday morning we were off to the dining hall for breakfast and it was delicious. Then it was onto the river for the day of floating and sand bar parties and having “TOO MUCH FUN”. After floating on the river all day and then getting cleaned up, we headed back to the dining hall for our hog roast, which our first fishie pig carver named Floyd. What an awesome dinner that turned out to be. After dinner more folks came back over to our cabins for another bonfire (even though I don’t think that the fire ever really went out from Friday night) and we continued on the partying and socializing. Sunday morning we were up and off to the dining hall for our final breakfast with our fishie friends and then to get a group picture taken. After that many had, what we hope, was a safe return home.

I’m glad that we had such an awesome turn out, but we couldn’t have had that kind of event without all of you attending and having such a great time yourselves. So thanks to all of you who made this event happen with a great success.

And Thanks to everyone for having “TOO MUCH FUN” with all of us on the river.

SYOTR........next year......... same time, same place, same friends, and hopefully more new friends (only saying next year because it's going to take me that long to recooperate from this weekend)

I have a couple of jugs of water that I bought to freeze, saves on keeping having to buy ice cubes that melt, as well as drinking bottles of water frozen to throw in the coolers the day of the float. It's great because by the time that they start thawing out, then you are ready to drink some water for a change.

But seriously Skip, why would anyone want anything other then alcohol to drink. You mean that some people may want to be sober that weekend. Oh well, I can honestly say that I won't be one of them. No sainthood for me this coming up weekend.

The Jesus Juice is made and going in the deep freezer at my parents to freeze (Kevin, keep your hands off of it! ), the cherries are soaking in their Cherry Vodka, the bottles that I need to take to Nita's to make the Hurricanes are sitting on the counter top, the stuff for the S'Mores are bagged and ready to go and my swimsuits are packed. I am ready for this Float!

And look at the bright side, if we have alot of streakers, we will save our batteries from my flashlights for other uses.

Fishie Float & Pig Roast~ 8/21-8/23~Steelville MO

we are down to 6 days and a wake up to be on the river! I want to float now!!!!!!!!!

I have about 4 extra pairs of water shoes (sucks trying to buy a new pair of water shoes each year to match your swimsuits ), most of which are woman's 8 or 9's. Flip flops don't do so well in the water since they seem to want to float while your feet are trying to walk.

Another item you might want to bring, is a hat for the float. Being on the water all day will burn your scalp as well.

Profile pictures?

Well guess I better change my profile picture since I just had my hair cut recently, of course, it was just a few inches cut off. But most of my pics are from the POF parties as well, but then my other pics are with me and non fishie friends or family that I don't feel comfortable putting their pics on here.

Isn't it funny how some people are so quick to make that assumption about us? I know more about myself then anyone else on here, and I have had guys tell me that I should be considered more then a social drinker because I go to a few local bars with friends occasionally. Well I have never considered drinking ice water at a bar should move me out of the category of being a social drinker to heavy drinker. I do go to a few bars with my friends, but that is more for the company then anything. I can be perfectly fine in a bar with everyone else drinking alcohol while I have my pitcher of ice water. I am not sure if that should consider me a heavy drinker since I drink ice water all day at work, but if that is the case, then maybe I better change my profile to say "all the time".

I have known quite of few of the gals and guys on here for years from being around the events and getting to know on a more personal level and I have to say, that most of us enjoy going out and having a great time with friends. But, on the other side, we are all also adults who hold careers and know that we have responsibilities that come first and foremost. I know that I was told I would never be able to give up hosting parties and hanging out with my friends, in a way that guy was right, because I have yet to find the guy who sparked my interest enough for me to give up going out all the time and settling down and until then, I won’t give it up, but no matter what I would never give up my friends. Besides, they keep me sane!

As far as people passing judgment on someone else, I don’t think that anyone has that right to do that. I will meet my judgment day, and until then, I don’t have to please anyone but myself. I plan on living my life and enjoying every second of it. Something can happen in a heartbeat and change your whole outlook and lifespan, and I don’t ever want to sit back and regret that I didn’t do something that I have always wanted to.
